This bench was only about $60.00 in materials and took about two hours to make. I also posted a video of the weights I made.

I like what you did. but in my small apartment... I'd like it small and simplified. just only using dumbbells
Just built this, and for anyone worried about how hard it might be, I ordered a soft yoga mat off Amazon and stapled to the bench and it works perfectly
Great tip!!
How much weight do you think it can handle?
This was not only helpful but also it was so satisfying. Great work

I've just built it using your video! Thank you so much for this guide. The foldable legs make it perfect to my apartment.
Fabricio Demétrio that is the best compliment! Glad to help you. I’d recommend putting a piece of lumber to keep the legs from collapsing.
@@aaronfixesstuff Yes!! I did that too. Thank you for sharing!!
Fabricio Demétrio for sure man! Also if you do heavier weight, you can add a 2x4 propped between the backrest and frame to add support to the swing arms :)
@@aaronfixesstuff Great tip! Hadn't thought of that. 👍

Maker guru💖
I just wish I had some power tools to do this but unfortunately I dont have this nice tools. This is a great video by the way!
Xanthus Xerxes Ostonal thank you so much! It is fun to have so many tools :)
You can cut the notches out with a table saw, as well to get a consistent depth. Just upside down from the way you use a miter saw.
Great point! That is a great option as well!
It appears someone won a Milwaukee Tools raffle.
I wish!! Unfortunately I paid full price for all of those :(
Every time I see that Milwaukee logo, reminds me of a 24 case of beers.
Awesome
Nunsang vanhoi thank you 🙏

@@aaronfixesstuff You're very welcome. I am the one who should thank. Around here gyms are allowed to re-open from the 1st of June but I do want to make my own, I wanted it for a long time and Covid gave me the necessary kick in the butt for me to start moving. Videos like this are both inspirational and a huge help for someone that never worked with wood.
awesomeeee
Thank you!
Muito bom ,,, parabéns
i started to build mine just looking for some tips , thanks and greetings from colorado aswell
Let me know what questions you have!
Inch by inch illustration thanks
Awesome thanks for info like thanks
No problem 👍
I made this with collapsible legs as well. The problem I'm having is figuring out how to brace the legs to ensure they don't try and kick out on me while I'm using the bench. You mentioned using a tension rod as a permanent solution. Can you do a quick video on how you did this. Thanks
Muito bom!
Hello Aaron, I tried to open the links for the detailed list of materials but it didn' t work. I've got all the pieces of wood needed but I would like to know list of washers, bolts and knots if it's possible. Thanks a lot, very appreciated and congrats for this amazing video and creation ! Cheers from Canada !
good job sir
Thanks!
as for making seat stable , easier option would to put a 45 support going from the main beam to the the ply
Nyc bro
Thanks for the build but my only question is where do I place the legs on the 45inch piece. Like how many inches from each side
One of the best I see so far so neat easy to try make I love how u explain your self very good am going to make this tomorrow wise me luck
Good luck! Thank you for the comment and comment if you have any questions while making it!
Yes sure cause am a gym goer we don't now when it going to reopen
nice work!!! i wouldn't recommend breathing in mdf dust though.
nice one thanx.
darren moore thank you for your time, and thank you for commenting!
Same as you mate I train and a joiner so tips are always wanted.
Be very careful guys. The workbench should be built very strong to sustain the weight. Serious accidents can happen if it slips or breaks. Wish you hard training and radiant health. From Mauritius
Absolutely! I agree with you 💯!
i was able to order me that one on amazon. ill just tweak it on issues that arise. when i decide to take it out of the box
Bro I'm from India
