Well Chad I just picked up my the last of the original 10 Four Roses Single Barrel recipes today with an OBSF 11 year 1 month 115.2 proof store pick! Good Luck with your hunt!!🥃👋
E.W. 1783 hero edition 2023 is great for the price, $23.95 in mid michigan. Got a few stashed away. 2024 bottles just started to show up recently. 4 roses you got are 👍👍😉 Cheers 🥃
Nice score. Happy to see the WFPSP was a good price. Most places in MA are about the same. The OOH114 is nice too. A buddy did a honey finish tater bottle and it came out amazing. Cheers 🥃
Just finished up my run through Bardstown this weekend and made nearly all the same stops just swap out Wild Turkey (got a MK Voyage) for Four Roses and also had the Egg Salad sandwich at Willett. Stopped at Bardstown Bourbon Co. too for the Disco 12. Lucked out and had low 70 degree weather. Missed out by 2 people in line for the Heaven Hill Bardstown Collection bottle.
Very interesting video, as always, even for someone who doesn't live in the US (like me). Sadly in France we don't get most of the things we see in your videos. But the few things we do get tend to be cheaper; for example: Eagle Rare is $50 in France, while at Keystone Liquors it's $99.99 (1:45)... Weller's can also be found for less than $50. Yellow Spot is great whiskey (to be fair, all the "Spots" are pretty good).
@@martinkirsch5969 Thanks! Retail for Eagle Rare here is around $35 or so, and sometimes you can find it for that or under $50 at least, but some places love to mark it up to $80 or even $100, as you saw.
@@ItsBourbonNight Thank God some people aren't greedy. It's cool that there are guys like you making these kinds of videos so local whiskey drinkers can find some decent bargains!
Going on a buying fast until Oct and coming out to the STL Bourbon Fest. Will have to hit some stores as a lot of that good juice just doesn't make it out here to the left coast...cheers! Nice haul!
Cant wait to for KYBF. Finally doing a tour of bardstown bourbon company. Update: Thanks to you both for letting me know about the potato game, the girlfriend and I found 2 potatoes and left with a Weller CYPB and a Weller 12.
Another great video!!! I told my wife that the Blind Pig changed locations, she was quite upset. She loved the small location. We are heading down to Kentucky for the festival first thing Wednesday morning. I'm just dying to hunt and go to the festival for the first time. Hope to run into you there.
I can buy the Larceny BP all day long for about $60, crazy you are seeing it for $100. Just got that 10 yr Knob rye for exactly the same $70. That Old Overholt 114 is available for $33, I have several backups. I'd love to get some of those Four Roses SB BP, never see ANY of them.
I’m so glad I don’t live in Kentucky. I would spend so much money on all those bottles I’ve never seen any any store shelves or in glass cabinets in Maine.
Thanks for the video! Heading to Lexington/Lawrenceburg area in a couple weeks and will be hitting some distilleries. Hope I can find some great buys! Cheers!
Hey! Interesting, I did not see any Jim Beam Lineage on the shelf at the distillery shop, where it was when I was there a few months ago. Did they sell out of the Lineage??
I visited Ethereal when I was in Lexington last year, great beer. Also enjoyed Blue Stallion brewing, good food and good beer. I wish I'd known about the potato at Evergreen while i was hunting there, bought 5 or 6 bottles from there in May.
That Evan Williams Single Barrell was really good for under $30 here in OK. Looks like they figured it out, took it away from us and raised the price lol.
@@Gehly I don’t think it’s technically Bardstown but when you go to Bardstown you usually drive the 15 or so minutes to them. Four Roses has 2 locations. Cox’s Creek is close to Beam.
last time I was at Evergreen in Bardstown. Either the glasses or the water they used to clean there glasses messed with the flavor of the whiskey. I had a Col Taylor Four Grain and i could barely get any flavors off it. My friends got a pappy 20 pour which i have had before and i could not get any of the notes I got when I first tried it.
I just bought the Knob Creek Rye 10Y yesterday for $70, not a big fan. I wish I could go back 24 hours and buy the 7Y store pick rye for $58 instead. This 10Y is not nearly as good as any rye store pick I've had. I'm also continually surprised at the Larceny BP prices in central KY. Both Larceny and Bernheim have migrated to the regular shelves in NKy and are almost always below $70. They must be counting on bourbon tourism to snatch that up for $100.
DANG! I have been looking for a 4-11-24 Blantons (Son's BIrthday) for a long time.....and there it is on their first stop! Does anyone want to snag it for me?
I know I'm one of the minority these days but I'm getting kinda tired of everybody everywhere always and only focused on cask strength/barrel proof everything. It is a huge trend in recent years. I have my few that I adore but drinking really high proof consistently absolutely burns out your palate/tongue/taste buds and makes anything else taste weak/bland/off. I myself choose to only drink my 57-58%+ more inconsistently and only occasionally. There's really only a couple bottles that I can recall that were around 60%abv or more that definitely drank much more soft and "smooth" (perhaps closer to 100proof) than they actually are.
What I also don't understand is when people drink high proof whiskeys, say it's "hot", but don't dilute a bit to soften the experience. Most whiskeys benefit from a little dilution to open up the whiskey. Scotch drinkers know this, but Bourbon drinkers are too proud to do it.
I picked up the A. Overholt that same day, right before I ran into the two of you outside. It is SO good.
Evan williams hero picks are so good. Totally underrated and a great cause
Editor Chad - I enjoyed the cut backs to last years pricing so I didnt have to watch two videos to see any price changes. Much appreciated.

So crazy how prices differ by state. Here in Kansas can buy Weller Special Reserve all day for 23-26. No blantons, eagle rare etc though.
Bardstown Burger is great.
Best burger I've ever had

Booker's retails at 99 here in controlled Ohio, 109 isn't bad.
Yes! Bardstown Burger is AMAZING! They also opened up a drive-thru only location just a few months ago, and it's just as good!
@@SDan490 Oh yeah? That’s awesome, good for them!
KC 10yr Rye is one of the OKAY-EST Ryes out there. Glad I got it at a good price, wouldn't hunt it though.
Great review of what’s around the town and a reminder of all the things we missed when there in August…
Born and raised in Bardstown!!! Love y’all’s videos.

We love bardstown! We haven’t been to the bourbon festival… yet, but we go for the street concert in June every year.

Found KC 12 at Wally World for $65, that stuff is everywhere
Went to Bardstown in July. Left with 34 bottles. You two look like you had more fun. Cheers!
Grandad 114 the workhorse. lol so true and so good 🍻

Great hunting video and a nice bottle haul.
I live in the P.R.I. a state bordering KY, and most prices you are showing in KY, are higher than I see...
Great hunt. Wish I lived close to the distilleries
Great episode. Love the hunt...
I was told that Elijah Craig Toasted Bourbon is no longer an allocated product which is the reason its on the shelves everywhere now.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Thanks for another good video 🥃
Ran into them at Blind Pig, such a nice couple. Love your content
KC10 Rye ... the power of suggestion is real and she may have been persuasive.
With WFP Picks not existing in my area, that’s a heck of a find and fun concept! Love the standard offering, would be awesome to get a pick!
Cant wait to for KYBF. Finally doing a tour of bardstown bourbon company.
Update: Thanks to you both for letting me know about the potato game, the girlfriend and I found 2 potatoes and left with a Weller CYPB and a Weller 12.
Kc10 is awesome. I love the bourbon x rye too. Paid 51 for the kc10 at a local Sam’s
I just picked up and cracked the KC 10 year rye. Love it but I love just about all the KC expressions I have tried.

Same here!
With my kid a freshie at UK this year I’m excited to get to visit some of these spots
(pushes up glasses) moon whiskey would boil in the “day” and freeze in the “night” so aging there wouldn’t turn out too great
Hope we run into you two at the KBF next weekend!

As a fellow Mainer, I second.
Never seen this channel before, good video, the lady is easy on the eyes too.
Cheers! Good to know prices are nationwide for many of the harder to find bottles. Now i don't feel so bad living in TX 😅
Thanks for the video! Heading to Lexington/Lawrenceburg area in a couple weeks and will be hitting some distilleries. Hope I can find some great buys! Cheers!

Jeffersons ORBIT is coming!!
That larceny barrel proof is $65 in northeast AL seeing it everywhere.
$60-$70 in Minneapolis
I would have gotten myself in a lot of trouble at Beam. More than a few would have followed me home there.
I was just in Bardstown last week! It was my first time and it was awesome! You gotta go and get the new BBCo disco 12!
Comin in for Auburn game and Keeneland.
Can’t believe all that Bakers 13 was just hanging out. 😮
I would love to have that Bakers 13

WHISKEY CHEERS 😎
Score!
I’m the guy in the green shirt at the end of the wall of people who found the unicorn 🤣 so funny, someone sent this to me
Jim Beam is close to Four Roses? Thought they were far apart, and not in Bardstown
@@Gehly I don’t think it’s technically Bardstown but when you go to Bardstown you usually drive the 15 or so minutes to them. Four Roses has 2 locations. Cox’s Creek is close to Beam.
Will you try that OESK? I got that exact pick as well. It was a black pepper bomb for me. I am curious to know y’all’s thoughts!
Blind Pig looks more spaced out now than their old store.
The Overholt you bought is not the same one you show when you got back home, so which one was it? Geno 🥃🤘🏼
Bardstown Burger got more money than bourbon shopping last time I was in Bardstown.
Always watch + enjoy your channel . . . but I am done with hunting and lottery things since 2022.

I live here and I literally just did the same thing… the tourist sticker shock hurts…
You PASSED on the Dark Arts 10yr yak finish? @Blind pig 😳
MA-NON-GUH-HEY-LA!
How much does four roses charge for sbbp?
The full run down of prices is at the end of the video, but it was $99.
32 for OGD 114 at the first store is criminal.
@@Despite37 it’s a little high for our area, but $28 would be a good price around here.

I can hook you up with a real Santa Cruz hat, lol.

There is already a whiskey aged in space. Mystic Galactic. It's only $75k a bottle. LOL
Yeah I looked that up when I was editing haha :) @15:22
