The extra fine almond flour is ‘de-fatted’. That is the difference.

I hardly write to give compliments to someone on UA-cam videos ( I do give thumbs up) but YOU have helped me actually believe that my keto journey is livable and that not only can I continue to lose weight I can sustain this as my "forever" eating. I have started to say that this is my "program" rather than a diet. And for those of us who have struggle all their life being overweight and now finding that your recipes actually make me fill that I am not missing out on anything! I am so happy to say I am down 25lbs in just two months and can't wait to watch more of your videos. I am a Heavenly fan!

Add to all that, I like that she has those baker’s hands. In other words, no bright nail polish, rings or any jewelry, for that matter. And, She also puts her hair up so it’s not falling in her face and the food. Huge plus there too! So down to earth in all respects. I’m finally taking my gluten intolerances seriously and Heavenly Fan’s channel, I find, is one of the most supportive channels for me. I’m so impressed with everything, right down to these little details that I just mentioned. Thank you.

Some of the confusion re psyllium could be the fact that there is a huge difference between "husk" and "powder" - at least here in the States. Psyllium HUSK retains the outer coating of the psyllium seed, and when mixed with fluids, can produce a grainy texture. OTOH, the POWDER is made by grinding the husks down so the gel produced is finer and has less of a grainy texture. So the "grind" of the psyllium makes just as much of a difference to this recipe as the type of almond flour does.

I read sifting (using a very fine sifter) the flour and then put the leftover larger grains from the sifter into a food processor. Then repeat the process until it is completely sifted and no large grains remain. This will make sure you are using extra fine almond flour.

This give me hope and it looks delicious. It's going to be the first bread I try when I'm ready to give any sort of wheat another whirl. Also, I love your voice and the detailed explanations you give for all the details.

Regarding the flatbread recipe, fine almond flour works fine, I can't find extra fine in Norway, but fine worked without problems.
The bakingsoda is only needed if you want the flatbread to fluff up, I liked the bread best with half the amount of bakingsoda 👍

Just made a pizza with this. My only complaint is the dough is not crispy but maybe my sauce was too watery or maybe I rolled it too thin. Doesn't matter, the taste is phenomenal and I am sitting down with guilt-free pizza. Using this recipe I made an entire rectangular baking pan of pizza, enough for two or more people.

Can I just say, you are very awesome!!! I love the details on your videos the best part being its not fluff, you share things that matter to your fans. Thank you for that. Having said that, I have to mention a point I disagree with when it comes to carb counts.. Net carbs are tricky because people like myself, do in fact absorb this and they do in fact cause an insulin reaction for my body. I'd say, perhaps don't make absolute statements because I've learned (painfully), that I'm THAT carb sensitive. In fact, counting net carbs not only do I stall in keto but if I continue that path, I'll gain weight. So I only ask that you are sensitive to that. Its truly amazing that people are so and and yet so different🤔
Anyway, love you and your videos!😍❤

Baking soda will give the bread an outer light crispiness and the inside a less dense space. (like a crust.) Yes, you can make your own almond flour. I use my coffee grinder but I peel the skin off first. Just wet the almonds and take a paper towel and wipe off the skin. Good video. I will have to listen to again when I am prepared to take notes to hang on the frig as there is so much good info. PIzza and chips look amazing. Thank you for another great video. You probably should share your guacamole recipe with us. LOL.

In India we call them puri press or puri maker, it comes with plastic glued /stuck on both sides. Have been in use for more than 30 years or so.

I love my tortilla press for the flatbread and I have parchment rounds for inside so I put the dough between 2 parchment rounds and freeze it that way.

I thought I had failed because the mix was too watery. I re-watched and realized I had to add more psyllium husks powder in addition to the 2 tablespoons. The dough was perfect and you have to remember to let it sit in the cling film for at least 10-15 minutes. The salt was fine with me...I just have to remember to cut it back in the fillings or other foods I use. DELICIOUS and easy!

I was going to ask about the Flatbread FAILURE I had today...…...but, I've come to the conclusion that the good Lord is probably steering me away from breads. Your beautiful flatbreads just turned into a horror/comedy at my house today.
My friend and I are changing what we put into our bodies and have been looking for a Keto-friendly tortilla substitute. We watched your video - about my 3rd viewing - wrote down the recipe and followed it carefully.
I really wish I had been videoing the experience …….. the ball of dough rolled out nicely BUT when it hit the heated skilled it blew up like a Blowfish ! I turned it, I beat it with a spatula, I pierced it with a fork BUT it just kept puffing up almost climbing out of the skillet.
It finally seemed to have dryer insides so I got my poor hubby to taste test it for us ……. he had specifically come out to the kitchen to see what all the laffter and carrying on was about. He hadn't a clue about what to expect, so he politely tore off a piece of flatbread and immediately it blew up in his mouth and became like gum. He chewed and chewed until I saw his dilemma and told him to spit it out ……. and assured him that it was not supposed to taste like that!! By the 4th flatbread we were making them thinner …...BUT it sill blew up like a Blowfish and tasted absolutely horrible.
I'll go over my packages carefully tomorrow to see it there are discrepancies in the products ……. BUT I can't tell you how badly - yet how hilarious - these flatbreads turned out for us. I'm sure it was something I did wrong; but, the results gave us one hilarious make-a-memory day that I'll never forget. I just love your channel and the way your recipes look. I have made several Keto bread products and have hated all the others because they tasted way too eggy ……. I was really sure I'd make a hit with your recipe since it had no eggs and was sooooo simple!! This is not any disrespect about your recipes ……. it's just a fact that this wonderful Saturday will forever bring a smile to my face as I think about Heavenly Fan's Fabulous Flatbreads. Thanks for sharing your life and Keto journey with the world.

Thank you. ! I just made my first batch of this flatbread. I followed the recipe religiously. The dough was still a little sticky although I had put almost all of the psyllium in. I so had to laugh at your description of a blow fish as that is exactly what I thought. I even poked it with fork ! Even when they cooled off they are very rubbery. The taste is ok but obviously I must have done something wrong !

I doubled the recipe so I could make 8, but only 1/2 cup of the warm water. Seemed to work for me. I did add 1/4 tspn of xanthum gum. Not sure if it helped other than it puffed on one side while cooking, but once I took off the stove it flattened. I also sifted my almond flour so it was extra fine. Did not take long at all and blended all the dry ingredients before putting in the liquids,

In the original flat bread recipe the amount of water is listed as 1/2 cup water and more as needed. So if one were to put the whole cup in at once that could account for the dough being too wet.
