Thanks brother! Just replaced mine on my 2014 1190 Adventure here in Japan, 78,000km on the odd, first change. Really helpful video, thank you!

You're welcome mate. Glad it helped. It's not as hard as it sounds. I had to change mine on the side of the road in Switzerland after the pump failed one morning.

Easily the best video on this topic I've come across. I just recently used it and it was super helpful.

Good video. But this is the kind of shit that pisses me off about Ktm. It couldn’t be something simple, it’s got to be complicated and expensive, $140 just for the filter. I love my 1190 adv r,But I hate maintaining it, this may be the last.

Hi, I bought the kit in my local bike shop. I'm sure eBay has some, just make sure it's genuine. Thank you for watching 👍

    Nice Video
You did use original fuel pump not any aftermarket?

Yes, it's the OEM fuel pump. It actually failed at about 53000 kms on a trip in Europe so I had to buy a second hand one. Don't ignore the warnings like I did :( Average lifespan is about 50000 kms.

@@biggerpicturephoto 1st of all, thank you for sharing this video, it will be super helpful when I decide to change the pump filters.
2nd, can you please tell me what exactly fails to this type of fuel pump?
I have no warning, no nothing for the moment (~43k km) and as a precaution, i was thinking to change the filters inside. Would this suffice? or is it more than this to do in order for preventing it from failing?
