Part 6. We enter the famous Bardenas Reales area. Very touristy compared to what we were used to so far. We then move on further west.

Alpine Adventures Part 3 - heading to Stelvio!
Wow i was going to have a go at this myself. While this is a good video to explain the process, ill be honest and say its put me off looking at everything that's involved
Honestly it's not that hard, just take your time and you'll be fine. If all is in specs it's easy. If not it's where I didn't feel confident enough to continue.
got map ?
It's on the TET app
@@orangeclockwork6199 TET app? Never heard of it.
Check your appstore or transeurotrail.org it's all there
Hi Lads what app did ye use to plan out the route ? Thanks
Hi, we downloaded the TET gox into Osmand and navigate from there. Fairly simple. Thank you for watching
I will be there in Sept !
Hoping to do Pyrenees this year but struggling to find time. Thank you for the kind words.
Great content & watch, Just watched your whole TET series, am I right in saying you followed east going across the Pyrenees. By chance do you have a gpx file of the route you followed, keep the euro videos coming
Thanks man. We actually went west from Bilbao first then as the weather go bad in the picos we decide to head east on the road then backtrack to Bilbao off road. You can download the gpx from the TET website for free.
@@orangeclockwork6199 Thanks buddy, it looked so mountainous that I assumed it was the Pyrenees, the west route you guys took looks awesome. I know the TET, I’ll have to add that to the list. Have you guys done west from Santander across the Pyrenees. Looking forward to your next adventure, make sure you capture it in the same way as this series, credit due
Thanks brother! Just replaced mine on my 2014 1190 Adventure here in Japan, 78,000km on the odd, first change. Really helpful video, thank you!
You're welcome mate. Glad it helped. It's not as hard as it sounds. I had to change mine on the side of the road in Switzerland after the pump failed one morning.
God I love Spain….spent the whole of august there with the family. They were wondering why I was crying behind the wheel of the SUV
I enjoyed watching this series of great videos. My friends and I are doing this route in June this year, so it was great to see what to expect. Cant bloody wait.
Thanks I m delighted you enjoyed it. Have fun!
Great vid, did yous camp or stay in AirB&Bs/hotels?
We actually stayed in hostels, b&bs and small hotels, mostly away for big town. Spain can be very cheap. Food wasnt great though.
@paulaustin1330 i can highly recommend a small b&b near Guardo called Hotel Rural Valle del Tuejar. Food was superb and cheap.
Nice videos. Easy to watch. Getting the boat to Bilbao this April myself to do similar.
Thanks man, good luck, you'll have fun. What are you riding?
@@orangeclockwork6199 CRF 300 rally. Suspension upgraded.
Great choice. I found my T7 a bit heavy at time. Especially in loose rocky downhill.
@@orangeclockwork6199 I used to have the xtz 660 and it was too weighty for me. It's hard to get the balance right with choosing the right bike 😀
True. I have a fe450 husky and I love how light and nimble it is not so good on long road sections. @@charliem5332
It was bursting my head that lionheart tune then I got it. RTE racing 😂
Thank you friends for this very nice documentation! I'm thinking of this project, TET Spain. I (70) do not like sleeping in tents, so how is the situation in bnb in the backroads of spain? Would be very interesting for me! Thanks in advance, regards Guenther, Austria
Hi, did you made the north track of the loop?
We went west towards the Picos, not sure what you mean.
@@orangeclockwork6199 on the northern Spain TET, there is a loop with an track along the north area o Picos, and another track along the south area of Picos
@@nunoreal7557 I think we did both. Beautiful spot anyway.
Thanks for sharing, it worked like a charm!
inspiring... makes me want to get out there too.
Thank You!!!
Track??? 😊😊😊
Not sure to be honest but headed west from Bilbao first
Where is your third guy?
He only had a week with us. Thanks for watching.
How do you find the tenere compared to the KTM 1190 adventure?
1:14 Great video! What happened to the rear brake on the PR7?
Thanks! It overheated and seized up, not sure why. We let some fluid out and it was fine the rest of the trip. Thanks for watching
@Eric Molimard Thanks for the info...I'm getting my 2023 PR7 in a month or so, and am curious about all things having to do with this amazing bike. That is a strange problem, though I have read the rear brake can be fiddly/finicky to adjust due to the pedal's proximity to the exhaust. Spanish TET looks amazing - looking forward to watching the rest of your vids!
Hi Guys, a problem I have seen quiet some times now, is that some riders slightly step on the rear brake without noticing. With the heavy boots on, you sometimes do not notice that you touch the lever. When it has very little to 0 play, the brake pads will immediately touch the disc .... Just a thing to look out for as well. Nice films, maybe next year Iam on it too.
I cant thank you enough for this perfect video! THANKS!
Thank you, glad this could help :)
👏👏👏Un TET Fantástico 👍 Luis - Asturias
Allright! After you finish TET Spain you need to came to the Portuguese TET. You'll be welcome!
Maybe in April next year, thank you!
If you also want to use the fresco dakar exhaust you have to be careful. It fits but it's really tight 😅
Done this installation this afternoon (side rack and top rack), very easy job. The parts fit perfectly, good quality of materials and I was pleased to see the screws are steainless steel. I recommand 100%

Thanks for watching and I'm glad it helped.
on a 2021 KTM 690 Enduro R (which is almost identical to the 701) you'll need to cut back the screw receptacles on the lever protection caps that hold the stock handguards in place to fit the barkbusters
How do you know which wire is the ACC2 ?
There should be a label on it, if not acc2 only have 12v when ignition is switched on. Think Acc1 is always on.
Hi, excellent video! Can you send the link for the Europe. Thx
advparts.eu/ Thank you for watching
Excellent vid! My 1090 is due for the 1st 30k. For removing plugs if you don’t have a magnet use your plug HT leads. They will grab on to the plug
Good tip. Thank you
Thanks for the video makes my job a lot easier.
Thanks, glad it helped
As I understood the problem is both incorrect material of stock oring and outer seal damage. So when damaged the oil get in contact with oring and it breaks. The outer seal is broken due to piston spinning (a little) in cylinder. The seal is tough installed on both sides and breaks even on new bikes(mine was about 500 km of total). So I changed the oring for oil resistant one and threw the protective seal out. No issue for few months. Think about it. Thanks
<3
To easily remove the plug and reinstall it use 8 mm fuel line about a foot long and just push it over the plug
Does not block too much of a view??? Smaller bikes, lower seats.....
No it's fine, you can angle it to suit. Mind you head when you get thrown forward :)
EPDM oring shown in this video doesn't survive contact with any oil at all. It's a hudge mistake !! Viton or NBR only. EPDM is not meant to have contact with oil - any, mineral, dots and engine oils !!! This mistake is propagated also through forums etc as i saw. Watch out peps :) your clutch won't last long and problem will repeat again sooner :) Please change description in the video and check EPDM specs.
Very good point Michal. After checking it seems that EPDM has very poor resistance to any oil as you said. I will changed the description.
@@biggerpicturephoto thanks. Does the 22x2,5 do the job ? What's your expirience ?
Eyeing one of these for my 701. Is it still holding up? Does it obstruct the view of the factory dash when you have it installed?
Yes still holding up. You can see the screen pretty well. You can adjust the angle anyway.
Where did you buy your new seal?
Easily the best video on this topic I've come across. I just recently used it and it was super helpful.
Glad it helped you, thank you
Truth can not really be modified, that would not be possible. You will not find it rummaging around in any head. Best to use your own head to work it out. Much easier.
Thanks for the vid. I am waiting on my AS nav bracket and fairing, seems like a nice piece of kit.
It’s not 0.10/0.15 (it’s .0010/15 and exhaust
Is the inlet 0.10/0.15 exhaust 025/0.30 in mm? If so that’s a big gap between valve snd camshaft??supposed shim dosent jump out
Long term update?!?
Still working fine. Not a bother.
@@biggerpicturephoto thanks for your answer man! Just bought a 701sm a week ago. This and fuel dongle is the first thing i will do.
Thanks for the detailed video. please you share about your experience: -is it significant better than the original short mask? -up to what speed it's comfortable to cruise in highways? thanks!
It's good, makes highway short stint bearable, 130kph but i dont do motorways much. The downside is that my helmet hits it when I duck to avoid branches :)
@@biggerpicturephoto thanks and be careful. this plastic can turn into guillotine in certain downhill crashes. I think I'll go with the PUIG wind shield because I'm afraid this one is too tall.
HMMMMMMmmmmmmmMMMMMMMmmmmmmMmMMMmMmMmMmMmMmmmmmmmMMMMmmmmm
I did this on my fc450 19 worked perfect thx
Nice Video You did use original fuel pump not any aftermarket?
Yes, it's the OEM fuel pump. It actually failed at about 53000 kms on a trip in Europe so I had to buy a second hand one. Don't ignore the warnings like I did :( Average lifespan is about 50000 kms.
@@biggerpicturephoto Yeah My 1090r has 40k miles I start having issues now after laying bike over on left side
@@biggerpicturephoto 1st of all, thank you for sharing this video, it will be super helpful when I decide to change the pump filters. 2nd, can you please tell me what exactly fails to this type of fuel pump? I have no warning, no nothing for the moment (~43k km) and as a precaution, i was thinking to change the filters inside. Would this suffice? or is it more than this to do in order for preventing it from failing?
Excellent!
Damn.. This bike is a pain in the ass to do service on.. but fun af to drive :)
