- Fuel pump removed fuel filter replacement, this pump in out of a 990, however all the listed models use the same filter kit and is assembled the same one, slight design changes on bigger models though.

So stoked, thanks so much for this video. I recently did all this to my 2007 990 adv. Very comprehensive and gave me the confidence to get the job done. I also added Guglatech Godzilla filters. Now I have the confidence that my fuel will be much cleaner.

The damn Quantum kit doesn't include the outer orings that seal the pump into the tank. Yeah, the main one that gets damaged when you remove it! What the....!
I found out the hardway too. In purchased the kit and needed both outer orings. Found a set at cycle pump and they delivered with in three days.

Any videos on removal/install of the pump from/onto the tank?
Empty the tank by: 1/ close both fuel cocks (fc) 2/ disconnect the tube from one of the 2 fc, 3/ open the opposite fc and pour the gasoline into a suitable container. 4/ reconnect the fc 5/ disconnect the tubing from the fc you have opened before /6 open the other fc and pour the remaining gasoline into a suitable container. Now you can remove the tank which is empty. Turn the tank upside down, unscrew the 4 torx screw. Gently pry the pump off the tank with a large flat blade screw driver.
@@Sperperone well I asked like 2 years ago but thanks. Replaced it and sold the bike. The whole time I had a 990 any time I saw off road stuff I was like... Man this would be fun on my dirt bike. Road riding bored the hell out of me.
I have a 2020 KTM 1290 Super Adventure R. It keeps stalling like it's running out of gas. It only has about 9k miles on it. Does that sound like a fuel filter issue?
