FFT, I came upon your channel several weeks ago. I am sure I have viewed at least 20 of your videos by now. In fact, I had to create a UA-cam Watch List and a Play List to ensure that I can easily find your videos and keep track of the ones I have completed and still have to complete. The material you covered here is so detailed and helpful. I like the way you move through the training with descriptive clarity. It is not hard to see why you are a FTO. I have not found any of your comments offensive or rude. I am sure you have helped many. I will go back to and leave comments for each of your videos that I have completed. I will be subscribing to your Patreon association very soon. I consider you one of my FTOs albeit remote training and via online. Many thanks.
as always tommy! thank you for again another awesome video to watch and enjoy👍 p.s I went Friday and picked me up a gen 3 glock 22. I've had 2 glock 19 s, a glock 42&43, and a glock 30 gen 4. I didnt get to shoot the 30 due to it having an obstruction when I got it finally so had to take it right back. but I finally took the leap and got a full sized gun for off duty, home defense and winter carry. and honestly I'm liking it, for a smaller person I have big hands and its nice to have a full length grip lol. but if I like and enjoy shooting and carrying it I'm going to get another in gen 4 or the 23 gen 4 for edc. but thanks for all your help and inspirations man.. truly means a lot and you've helped me out with all sorts of different things. Keep up the fantastic work and thanks again for being such an outstand, awesome guy and running this channel for all of us. in sure you get Thanks a lot but I do really appreciate it! take care and god bless brother! stay safe out there👍
I'm a civilian who was watching an episode of Adam-12 yesterday and noticed officers carrying a bag into roll call. I wondered what might be in it. A bit of searching with questions to my Android tablet assistant brought me to your interesting video on UA-cam. Thank you!
I have a patch on top of mine, I did notice if I end up taking it out for whatever reason, it makes orienting it a little easier when it's dark. Not life changing but saves a few seconds on occasion.
We have foot patrol duty so the EDC in my pouch is CPR face shield, medic gloves, hand alcohol and the most important stuff is power bank for my iPhone.
I don't know if you already have, but could you cover Police Take Home cars in a video. I'm curious how they work, especially now when it seems like everyone is out to get cops. Thanks
How about a bullet proof clipboard for when dealing with domestic situations. It's an unannounced/non combative protection for close range encounters. With the a solid handle, it makes a fairly decent slapper.
i would highly recommend you check out the first tactical patrol bag.. ive had one for a year now and i have nothing but good things to say. best patrol bag ive used.
Was that sunscreen an SPF 100? I feel your pain, my friend. I burn like a matchstick after ten minutes unprotected in the sun and end up looking like Hellboy.
It's the middle of winter for you.... And 80 degrees in Louisiana! I think we should share weather so we can even it out. BTW, nice video editing at 10:33
Seems legit, I was a Deputy for a bit in Colorado now a DOC officer in Washington CCO (parole/probation) a lot of stuff here is a mix between SWAT corrections officer and beat cop. This gives me a few new ideas tku.
11:05 I was about to say wherever you work is in the stone age lol. All of our "patrol" forms are electronic and we do everything on our laptops. Great system you've got there though for what is available to you.
We *just* transitioned to electronic crash reporting. Ticketing is supposed to be coming, but has been on it's way for a decade now. All the rest of it is required to be paper by law or county courts policy. It truly is another world here in Cook County IL,
Can you do a video on warrants. I also had a question, is it against police policy for an off duty officer to make or assist in a arrest? Also is it against policy for an officer to chase a suspect with out calling for backup first?
Policy depends entirely on the house but generally, cops retain their peace officer powers 24/7/365 throughout the entire state. In other words, we can affect an arrest anytime anywhere. Yes, we can assist on-duty officers with an arrest (However it is best not unless they really need the help). Yes we can Arrest off-duty (However it is best not to unless you are mandated by law or the subject committed a forcible violent offense in your presence.) Running after a suspect? I personally won't chase anybody off-duty (unless of course mandated by law because he just stabbed fifteen elementary schoolers). Exercising your peace officer powers is a judgement call. Is it an acceptable risk? What will be gained If we act? What does policy say about? How liable will the department be if I arrest someone and break their neck for (initiated contact regarding) Petty Theft under $20?. And why would you not call 911 if you're pursuing someone? If and when you arrest him how would the subject be booked? Will you walk into Lynwood Century public reception with declaration papers, intake forms, property, and pc 1550 sheets? The short answer is DEPENDS, YES, and WHY WOULDNT YOU? Check out this video for more insightful insights on off-duty hijinks and what not. ua-cam.com/video/EuAkZVfYJc0/v-deo.html

friartuck103 for the most part we get to use discretion on whether to write or not write. It's really up to the officer. Emmanuel Goldstein ok, tell that to the family’s of the victims who’ve I had the unfortunate luck of working their fatal car crashes. Until it affects you’d personally you probably won’t understand the gravity of driving recklessly
Emmanuel Goldstein that can’t be a serious question lol but ok lets take the fatality I had couple of weeks ago. Poor kid was speeding we over 100 in his camaro in a 70mph zone, Ran straight into the back of an 18 wheeler dying instantly. Had he been driving the speed limit he probably would’ve been able to avoid his death. There’s reason for speed limits. Now obviously a few miles over isn’t a big deal as 90-95% of my stops result in warnings but there are certain violations that need to be addressed by a citation. If an adult can’t correct their problem in driving after a simple warning or citation then they have no business behind a wheel. You gonna tell me speeding down a neighborhood street where the speed limit is 30 is dumb?? Cmon man. What If they run over kids who don’t understand safety playing near streets. Its common sense, the faster the speed the easier it is to lose control and crash or kill someone cause it takes longer to stop. There’s science behind that if you didn’t know. Asking how traffic enforcement stops accidents is ignorant. And no they don’t necessarily STOP accidents as a whole but they sure as hell reduce the chances of accidents when followed correctly.

great tactical bag. I used a blue gun for training using a bb gun outside is breaking the law in the city. I was issued a PR-24 in 1995. Never used it except for riots. I keep my OC Spray on my duty belt for easy deployment for self Defence. I had bolt cutters and slim gym in my bad to. People love locking there keys in the vehicles hell that happened to me as well.

Are assault weapons bans enforced in Cook county? I have received answers from all over the place I want to know before I even think of going ahead and purchasing an AR. I was once told as long as I have a FOID I will be fine.
Jacob Roy lol I know but you know the politicians writing the laws. The assault weapons ban in cook county (Chicago and surrounding burbs) is all cosmetics as the 1994 assault weapons ban. Pistol grip, shroud, removal magazine, ect... my confusion is I was told before I cannot own one, other have told me I can, then others which would make sense is as long as I have a FOID it won’t affect me as they are meant as additional charges. But I’d like to know from an LEO from the area.
Is there any way to request or order one of those Free Field Training patches? I'd love to put one on top of my bag. Thanks for making these awesome videos.
I was wondering if you could solve a small debate my friend and I were having regarding Illinois concealed carry laws? So both my friend and I live in southeastern Wisconsin and understand that Illinois and Wisconsin don't play nice when it comes to reciprocity of a Wisconsin CCW permit, however, how I understand the law in Illinois according to 430 ILCS 66/40 is that as long as the non resident is in their vehicle and they have a valid CCW permit from their home state, they can possess a concealed firearm until such a time as they exit their vehicle. The way my friend interpreted this is that the firearm would have to be locked up in a secure container. If you could help it would be greatly appreciated, if not that is okay too. IGY6
It is my currie t understanding that under illinois law currently anyone with a ccw in any state can carry a handgun concealed on their person as long as they are in their car. It does not have to be locked in a container unless you exit the car. Keep in mind though that Illinois ccw laws are constantly in a state of Flux and may well have changed since this morning and there is no way for me to know. So, I encourage you to do your own research.
Hey man, love your videos! I’m currently going to school, studying to become an officer I’m Canada. Just out of curiosity, Why do you have a Canadian flag on your bag if you’re not Canadian?
Old video, at the time the stat was new on the market and was claimed to be "extensively tested" by the maker. Little did I know that "testing" was in someone's living room, not a lab.
I think it is made by posse box, but I'm not sure. While I am not in traffic division and my primary duties do not include going out and citing people there are circumstances in which I need to be able to issue "y" series tickets. On midnights for instance we don't have traffic working most of the time. If a motor vehicle collision occurs and a driver is drunk I have to be able to short form them. Short form y series tickets are also used for intox pedestrian in the roadway arrests, and for solving problems on calls.... People drag racing in the parking lot of the local target at 1am springs to mind as an example.
Unless you meant why put the y tickets in the protective holder and not the Parkers. The parkers are serial numbered but the numbers aren't tracked and issued to me. I can just throw out a book of P tickets and nothing happens. The y tickets though are issued to me by serial number. I'm responsible for every ticket in every book that is issued. So, I can't just toss a y book out if it gets mangled in my bag or I spill coffee on it like I can with P tickets.
It’s basically a stencil with roads curves cars and pedestrians on it. In sc we have a tr310 accident form and we had to draw out what happened in the accident and number the cars 1, 2 etc corresponding to what happened so it makes it a lot easier and it looks very professional to use the stencil. Everything now is electronic but before I retired we had paper ones in case the system went down
Great video. Intelligent idea for new shooters to train with an identical air gun. Saves $$ on ammo but mostly to teach safety like don't hand me a loaded weapon muzzle first. Yea Canada patch eh.
I know what you're thinking. Where is the red cross patch for the med bag? instagram.com/tommy_freefieldtraining

Old video, at the time the stat was new on the market and was claimed to be "extensively tested" by the maker. Little did I know that "testing" was in someone's living room, not a lab.
thanks so much man
What do you use the duty gloves for? I mean I'm sure you search alot of dirty people, is it solely for searching?
Great video as always brotha... aloha from Hawaii
What's brand of ifak?
What baton is that?
What brand is the citation holder? Why do you use it for your Y tickets if P tickets are the only tickets you write?
What was that blue stencil thing you had inside of the clipboard?
That is for our old motor vehicle report diagrams. We used to do them by hand ip until about a year ago.
It’s basically a stencil with roads curves cars and pedestrians on it. In sc we have a tr310 accident form and we had to draw out what happened in the accident and number the cars 1, 2 etc corresponding to what happened so it makes it a lot easier and it looks very professional to use the stencil. Everything now is electronic but before I retired we had paper ones in case the system went down
Why did you have a canada badge? Are you in canada police service?
this whas intresting thanks Sir!
Great video. Intelligent idea for new shooters to train with an identical air gun. Saves $$ on ammo but mostly to teach safety like don't hand me a loaded weapon muzzle first. Yea Canada patch eh.
He said that the meds should be in the top but puts them back in bottom
