What’s awesome is we build them everyday! It’s cool when you build a complete working police car!
The magnetic mic holder is a game changer. They are fantastic.
I used to like the old school RCMP cars with the 12guage pump action shotgun mounted in the front. It was super visible and it made you think "these guys mean business".
Apparently one of the shotguns went off accidentally blasting a hole through the roof. The 12guage was then relocated to the trunk of the car.
Funny that on the fire extinguisher it’s written 110. That’s the German emergency number for police 😂 (We have Police (110) and Fire/EMS (112) dispatched separately).
Your so upbeat and kind. thank you for the review.
Aw thank you!
My pleasure and thank you for your service
Where are the handcuffs 😅
Hi I’m just starting the academy and have been noticing us smaller officers having a harder time fully restraining suspects. Would you be able to make a video in the near future on how to properly handcuff and secure the suspect for us female officers out there?
Take BJJ courses. Adopt A Cop BJJ is a great resource.
I would invest in BJJ/Krav Maga.
You shouldn’t be cops if you can’t do the job then
@@534N69it's not about that. If you know the right techniques you can take just about everything except a drugged up methhead down.
Be a man or learn Judo
So cool!! Those are built at the Chicago Ford plant. They are the only company to build a police car with everything, but the laptop. I work for a subcontractor that does maintenance work at the plant, and they put them through very rigorous testing. Congrats on the new ride, you deserve it!
What kind of testing
@@indyguy3400 he's assuming that you are a cop
Is the suspension and engine beefier than a normal car?
@@chriswalsh2312I don’t think so but I know the alternator is and they are designed to be running constantly
@@chriswalsh2312 Shocks, springs, sway bars, brakes, & wheels are all upgraded from the regular Explorer. Additional frame bracing as well.
Doesn't look new at all LOL
hello stefanie, I am studying to join the police force in Brazil, the standard police vehicles, not the specialized ones, do not have half of these equipment, because of the costs, it is wonderful and I have the maximum admiration and respect for the police forces and Thank you for sharing.
In Brazil?? Good luck 🤣
Did you do it?
Thank you for all you do Stefanie, you are appreciated!! Please be safe out there!!
Interesting how your Police Interceptor Utility still has the factory seats still in place even with the plexiglass barrier. Most of the police vehicles up fitted at least in OR have the factory seats removed and replaced with hard cover plastic. Is there an advantage to using the factory padded seats to transport prisoners than a hard cover plastic transport seat?
💵💵💵💵 that's the only difference. Our county's sheriff cars are factory seats.
you're such a sweetheart
🥹
I totally agree,i would ask u for directions everytime
if you got the hybrid the acceleration sucks. The new tahoes feel like they wanna fall over .,. and so many blind spots I hate them
Im the police mechanic.. I work on all the fun stuff. our cars have plastic rear seats so you can slide noncooperative people in easily.
Gratz on the sweet ride.
Awesome video, we have the same ford police interceptors where I work as Campus Safety, and they're nice, but I prefer the previous generation as I think they're a little more comfortable when wearing gear.
That’s why the Crown Vic was the defacto cop car of all time. Officers were comfortable and the baby was ABSOLUTELY spacious.
I’ve worked on all sorts of police vehicles. Hands down my favorite and the favorite of officers is the Durango. Everyone loves it. Perfect size in between of the explorer and Tahoe, doesn’t handle like a truck and is fast. (Not sure engine specs but I’m told the Durango is better in speed/maneuverability, in officers opinions)
Definitely more legroom and storage. Once they get a reputation I will definitely see them replacing the explorers. I know departments (mostly rural) that got rid of their explorers and tahoes for the Durango.
Edit- just realized I that all these new features you say have been around so long I consider them standard. We do a lot of more wealthier/smaller departments who can afford to get the nice stuff for everyone
Pretty sure you were feeling yourself up when you wrote this dribble🙄
Yeah they are great and all until you need to replace the batteries
And more reliable
I hate the Durango.
Durango doesnt fare as well in safety crash testing as the Ford. Civilian '23 version has higher rollover risk.
Also Police Inceptor Utility is rated to take a rear hit at 75 mph. I've seen video of an officer take a hit from someone behind doing highway speeds and the officer was fine.
I was hoping to learn about the specs of the vehicle 😅
Horse power, mods, 0-60, top speed, reliability
The rest of our Sheriff Department apartment drive Ford Explorers and Dodge Chargers and Tahoes
Stefanie,
Be SAFE and stay HEALTHY!!!
John from SoCal
Love all your videos! You’re such an inspiration to me! Stay safe!! ❤️❤️💙🖤
As you have the steering wheel mount selector these models don't have the option of over riding the automatic gearbox (Like a Plus or Minus function) so to get them moving off quickly again after slowing down to clear a junction or intersection you have to use very heavy Kickdown briefly then the auto gearbox wakes up and gets the job done after that for you
I’m in a 2021 explorer and your right about the acceleration it’s terrible, slow down to clear an intersection and it falls on its face and won’t get going again.
😳😳😳🫣🫣🫣😬😬😬😩😩😩😱😱😱😰😰😰 I've always praised Fords for their get up and go, I have a 19 F150 and it's never given me any issues but I also don't have to do what ya'll do
The 13 percenters in the back get leather seats now..not bad
Awesome video!! My friend with the New Orleans Police Department just got his new 2022 FPIU take home car the other day it's amazing and I love the new car smell
2:47 why do u need flares? greeting from an european guy
3:34 I’m surprised you have the factory seats and not the aftermarket plastic bucket seats.
Very informative video. Just be thoughtful about what information you divulge, remember that not everyone who watches your videos is a good guy and secondly, providing too much information about yourself and your job might get you fired. Just bear that in mind.
@stephanie Ignore this, you know what you’re doing. Keep up the good work Champ.
Got excited seeing a new video‼️ then got sad when I seen 5 minutes😂 love the videos keep up the great work on and off UA-cam👏🏽 inspiration to us all on our journeys & stay safe💙💙💙
Hi Stefanie good morning happy Thursday morning and I hope you having amazing week and I loved your vlogs and you are amazing Supporter and I'm proud of you
Was the driver side end of the lightbar not working correctly or does your agency have a really odd lighting pattern?
i like you not the patrol car..you are cute❤
US police have so much useful things. In Germany we dream about this xD
That’s because criminals are treated better than law abiding citizens
The car is so cool!
Congratulations!
Enjoy your ford explore and thank you for virtual tour of the patrol car. And does your agency decommissioned/retired all those ford crown Victoria’s.
Sou Policial em São Paulo BRASIL nossas viaturas são novas, porém não é equipada como a de vocês... parabéns pelo vídeo
Thanks for your video, I have a 2011 P7B Crown Victoria ( ex Long Beach California) and a 2016 police suv utility. I agree the Crown Victoria will be missed.
Inside my patrol unit I still have the MDT Toughbook and I have my LED lights in the windshield some on the dashboard the rest of my lights in the back of the window turn on the rear view mirror one of my units have a cage and the rest of them don't I drive a ghost letter an unmarked unit Dodge Charger in a Chevy Tahoe. Also I keep my traffic's vest in the back with my AR-15 in my 12-gauge.
Our security team has 2 2010 Crown Victorias and my favorite a 1984 Chevy blazer
Very soon I'm about to switch my personal off-duty vehicle patrol unit that I have for my construction traffic to a Ford explorer soon the Dodge charger transmissions keep going out.
Hello Stefanie,
I watch a lot of arrest videos and there is always a sound - like a buzzer or smartphone vibration sound - bzzi bzzi. Similar to the one you get with incoming sms on silent mode. Does it come from a phone or a radio? I thought it could simply be smartphone, but its quite loud.
They should have bought the Ford Police Interceptor Utility Vehicle, it's the fastest and quickest police car made and it's heavy which makes it good for pit maneuvers.
We have Fords and they are clunky as well and there is a second or two delay when you try to accelerate. Our department couldn't even get new Fords, which is why we're switching to Durangos. So far, the Durango build quality compared to the Ford is night and day difference. If I could, I'd talk to your upfitter and offer a few suggestions to him. Switch your radio and your pathfinder. Your radio should be set to the ignition and won't really need to be manipulated too frequently since I'm assuming it also scans. Your pathfinder is right next to your cup holder and it will be a pain to reach. I'd also buy the appropriate bracket for your radar. That suction cup isn't going to hold if you're ever in a wreck and it's going to be a projectile. I'd also get some transport seating, although that's an added cost. Lastly, I'd remove those car mats. They are made from the factory with the vinyl/rubber flooring so you don't need a mat. In emergency driving conditions, I wouldn't want anything that could interfere with the accelrator or brake pedal. Also, when you put your pathfinder into the third switch, that's usually "pursuit" mode, which includes white light. I think your should have it reprogrammed.
Hey Stephanie I was wondering if you’re team offers microphone support for people who have microphone notifications
I had to give up my agency's last Crown Vic last year. I very much miss it after having one since 1998. Once encompassing 3,000 in the fleet, I had the last one and they almost had to "pry it from my cold dead hands" to get it away from me. I wanted to retire with it, but that didn't get to happen. I have a Charger now, so much smaller inside, sardine can. I'm not a fan of the SUVs, like railroad box cars on rubber wheels and everything is stored in large lock boxes in the back...difficult to get into quickly as opposed to the trunk of a car. I had to dig down into the lock box in a Tahoe once, had to get up onto my knees at the end of the compartment to be able to reach. My Charger is constantly breaking down and our Fleet says all of the Dodge products, Charger, Challenger, Durango are the worst for parts failures. Ford have the internal water pump issues and small fuel tanks and the Tahoe eat transmissions and rear differentials. My 2008 Crown Vic ended its service on all of its original parts (excluding normal wear parts - brake pads, hoses, filters etc) after 14 years of use.
I'm old school and wear my vest underneath my uniform shirt. My belt holds my weapon, ammo, cuffs, pepper, radio just like its always been The outer vest to me is clunky and uncomfortable and doesnt look as well. I'm just used to it.
There will never be a better police duty vehicle engineered to handle all aspects of police duty as well as the Panther chassis Ford Crown Vics and Chevy 9C1 Caprices. Torque monster V8s that would run forever, rear wheel drive, full perimeter frame, beefy suspension, brakes, and steering, made mostly out of steel and iron, and super comfy front seats for the cops and plenty of rear seat room to install a divider and still have room to wrestle an uncooperative suspect into their seatbelt. Oh yes, and a huge trunk.
Unless they give you a Suburban or Expedition there’s nothing today that matches them.
Wait til you get one with the ECOBOOST TWIN TURBO!!! Beast!!! Fasssstttttt Units.
That prisoner seat looks very small. I'm guessing your typical fatty would not fit back there?! And did you say the siren has a volume adjuster?
My 2021 has acceleration issues also. It feels like it gets stuck in different gears and doesn’t take off. It stalls badly.
Just have to say this but there are too many ford explorers used by police departments around the US. Get the Durango guys. It actually blends in to the crowd whereas the ford sticks out pretty obvious. The ford looks like a cop car whereas the dodge Durango is more cool. 🎉
love the us cars, greetings from germany
I get a ticket for checking my phone gps but y’all driving around with a whole ass laptop #bet 😂
I feel like sedan is much more faster than SUV, because sedan is much more lighter and it is the perfect choice for the police for highway patrol
Yeah nothing was clunkier than the Tahoe which took FOREVER to accelerate. Some departments are still running Chargers, one or two Tauruses, but most are Utility
Personally I like the latch for the radio and not the magent but it's just Personal preference
I will be attending an academy soon for the 2nd time.. that run is a mother fucker I can tell you that.. I shall not fail this time 😅😅😅😂😂😂
3 years ago, I knew police has a rifle in the car. Then stopped driving fast...
Thank you for these videos!! Just curious, do you have to work all by yourself or do you get to have a partner?
I feel like one of the perks to being a police officer is getting to drive an awesome police car and a Ford Explorer is not very awesome. Id want a Charger lol
cool ❤nypd cars are white with blue lettering on them that says nypd ❤
I feel like the cage is not sturdy enough she taped on it, and it moved I feel like that could be kicked thru
The most important thing is definitely a place to keep your Cawfee.
Congratulation to police oficer ,your country have a serius laws and strong with criminals.
What happened to the 12 gauge, you don't need a assault rifle there's no war here. If you need one we can find you one in the world somewhere.
Is there a video on your channel, a review on the different lights like the flood etc?
What the product called or where and how can I find a computer stand for vehicle I have a 21 ram 3500
I heard officers complaining of the acceleration issue when on a vehicle pursuit, think is something with these new transmission.
They did you dirty with that back seat. It’s a shame you have to reach over to belt people in.
Do police officers wash their own cars? Or do they have professional car washers (?) who do it for them?
I enjoy watching this video
True, the newer Explorers refuse to accelerate at full throttle. Horrible police vehicles.
In the cop car, the scanner for catching speeders.... Can the scanner detect a cars speed before that car passes the patrol car completely?
Who cleans out the backseat of 🚔 after a drunkard throws up or soils themself while in transit to jail?
This is the door this is the is the radio this is the seat this is the screen this is the rifle this is the steering wheel…..this is where we transport people I was wandering how u guys transported detainees.
Just be careful it's a lot of crazies out there I'm looking at here in Mobile Alabama
why are flares very important?
im not american but ive never seen german police use flares.
I came to comment by my 19 persuit charger bottomed out on flat ground so i couldnt make it 🤣
Cool. Step. Thank u showing the ford. Nice
So excited for the new video!! 🖤💙🖤
Aww i'm so glad!! I love the excitement :D
Very very Nice, salute from Colombia :3
How do you get to your spare tire with the storage box screwed to the lift deck?
Have you heard of the Dubai police cars they have supercars like Ferraris
cool video..always wondered how the lights and siren work
Ooh those Rhino tablets. Your department is rich rich
just name brand of the clipboard please!
This videos terrible. Makes you cops look so clueless😂
The crown Vic’s no longer made after 2011
I bet it’s a pain to get to that spare tire. Oh and I’ve had to change my own on duty
most advance police of the world also very scary 😂
The crown Vic is the best police car
Oh noooo. Couldn't believe this 4:27 | 4:37 xD
Is the engine mounted transverse or longitudinal?
I have the 2022 ST; which has the same motor you do -I think. Twin turbo 400HP. My rig is fast AF!
(Retired deputy)
Makes me want to get some of that emergency equipment to keep in my trunk
your chuckle is hilarious, keep it up!
I just recently picked up a 2013 ford interceptor utility, and i have to say that i absolutely love it. Was a Missouri Park Rangers vehicle, still has some of the fun stuff (lightbar, controller box, PA system, etc), and it obviously had a pretty easy life. I plan on turning it into an Umbrella Corporation security vehicle and take it to car shows and conventions 😁
Dang, a 10 year old car. Your dept must be hurting for money. Be safe!
@kentapley9315 lol! I'm not a cop, actually. I just found an old cop car for sale, and so I'm going to turn it into an Umbrella Corporation security vehicle, from Resident Evil.
I have one at my agency n I wish I kept my V8 Charger
A zest of Robocop's Ford Taurus interior
No ticket printer? They are slow cars right?
