I feel like some of the hacks cancelled each other out.
Like the one where she whipped the egg whites and then let the batter rest. The batter would deflate.
@@kooby122 yea I was thinking the same thing
Here’s how to make thicker pancakes:
Step 1: *Use 30% less water.*
End of tutorial.

Add sour cream and yogurt
"wipping the egg whites didn't make it fluffier" I mean, you added like 5 extra liquids, throwing off the ratios, of course they came out thin lol
She added all the things which no of course it didn't work! LOL
Completely agree they completely through off their ratios, these need to be tested separately and none of those reasons for using them said to skip butter and syrup at the end so of course the control is better.
And left all that fluffy eggs to rest to deflate
Ofc lmaoo
she also handled the batter a lot like putting it into the extra batter bottle/dispenser which of course would get rid of the air
Let’s appreciate that Annie takes time to find all these hacks everything looks so good 😋❤️🥰
Shreya Kannan lmao 😂😂😂
She doesn't find the hacks. One of her friends does.
Kooby what do you mean? annie is the producer of these videos and it's her job to source the hacks.
@@cherry78 Yes that's true! If she does it normally, then it's a help. She got paid so that is her job
the only prob i have with this is you put in three hacks for the same effect (baking soda, egg whites, and seltzer) for fluffiness. baking soda and buttermilk provides acid/base reaction, egg whites need to be unmolested by stirring (which you did more of when you added the seltzer which diluted the foam), and the seltzer is adding carbon dioxide...when it's not flat (like would have happened because of the splatter when you opened the bottle...the release of all the gas you're trying to trap in the pancakes). Literally, you added so much and diluted it to the point of irrelevance as hacks. Even if you did them for different reasons (crispiness, rise, taste, whatever...) the chemical reactions were antithetical to each other. Please do this episode again with different hack sets for different results.
Yeah and she let the batter rest so all the foam is gone
Well, you’ve said my mind.
And the ratio of milk to lemon juice was off
For real, I mean there's no point in doing these hacks if you combine every one of them.
@@fireflieer2422 But that's *exactly* the fun part about it xD
Was thinking the same thing and its suppose to be fluffy, why leave it
I make buttermilk pancakes. I make the buttermilk with vinegar, works better than lemon juice. They come out perfect everytime!
Yes thx!
☆.☆*
Yes it's supposed to be vinegar, idk where they got lemon juice! 🙃🤦♀️
@@MsTwilightgirl94 because most recipes for homemade buttermilk say you can use lemon or vinegar.
@@MsTwilightgirl94 It's fine as long as it's an acid
@@MsTwilightgirl94 It's the acidic quality. I've used both lemon juice and vinegar and they both do the job nicely.
The “hack” with waiting for bubbles to form is literally just how you’re supposed to make pancakes....
The egg whites and sparkling water didn’t work because it was rested for 30min
I didn't realize using butter to grease the pan is a hack since that's how my mom did it when I was a child so that's how I do it now too, of course we still put butter on top but immediately spread it while the pancake is still hot and we also sprinkle sugar on top instead of using syrup. Also, the pancake cereals are great if you're not the one going to do the tedious work of flipping each tiny piece. 😄
Right. We add oil and butter mixed for a lot of our breakfast foods like eggs and pancakes its really good and simple
yes same its not a hack
It's not a hack lol everyone does that!
@@frxstedhxney5081 not everyone but it isn't a hack
SAMEE
Imagine Annie trying the hacks and all the chefs Collecting the hacks for her
THEN Imagine Annie making it better than these other producers lol
@@abechan856LMAO
For the buttermilk hack- it’s one tablespoon of acid ( lemon juice / vinegar) to a cup ( minus 1 tbs) of milk- whisk and set aside for 10 mins and it works great
Agreed. It didn't look like they had enough lemon juice for the amount of milk they used.
lol i never expected that one day i will see someone eating pancakes with chopsticks
lol its crazy watching this during this ramadan period
@@angelinaborris7884 lol you can eat that when you're done for today and yes its indeed tasty
who else here is into investing stocks and trading digital assets like forex, crypto ?
The Stock Market is a big ball play. You just need to know how to react to most market conditions without emotions, especially with the sudden crash and rise.
@@adamweah8037 i am into the crypto market , What you driving at though?
idk man, as someone who's successfully used some of these hacks' for years, it was infuriating to watch her go through them. Adding egg whites to a batter and them stuffing it into a squeeze jar is the equivalent of putting a chiffon cake batter into a squeeze jar and then wondering why it doesn't work. This video bugged me so much, that it makes me wonder how many other people are genuinely annoyed at their other hack videos that 'fail'. At least Rie know's what she's doing to do it properly.
Yeah not all hacks are *supposed* to go together
I think Rie should be the one doing all these hacks. I found this video more annoying than entertaining.
jasmine knows what she's doing, the entire point of the series is to use a comical amount of hacks, for other things that have been done on this series like cakes its one main goal but for pancakes the preferences are so much different for each person so its no wonder the hacks cancel eachother out, literally stop being so negative
i feel like resting the batter for half an hour made whipping your egg whites completely redundant. i whip my egg whites when i make pancakes and use the batter immediately and they always come out fluffy
My favorite pancake hack involves going to Cracker Barrel and ordering a delicious stack with extra syrup. Yum!
Why do jedi always burn their pancakes?
Because they wont turn over to the dark side.
🤣😂😆😁😄😃😀🙂😐😕🙁☹️😣😖😩😢😭🥱😴
I'M ROLLING XD

half the "hacks" on the internet require having an entire appliance you dont already own anyway lmao
I know a non-stick skillet is easier to use but a cast-iron one just gives a really good taste, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside as well.
A well-seasoned cast iron skillet can be pretty non-stick too
@@kamcorder3585 Yep, exactly
yes! ...and my hack is to use just a little butter flavor crisco when needed instead of veg oil or regular butter.
in my experience oil makes soggy sometimes and butter browns/burns too fast
Hack: Dice 3-4 strawberries and add a few spoonfuls of sugar. Then make your batter (or leave it overnight). The sugar draws out water and makes a syrup that's really good over pancakes.
A good, seasoned cast iron skillet also just makes prettier pancakes. It gets hot evenly, like a griddle. I actually have a cast iron griddle for pancakes, it's the best!
I neeeeed a slow-mo of her opening the sparkling water 😂😂
The Og‘s are the people who were here before it was even called Hack or Hassle
@kateryna ong yes
Damn, the sparking water exploding.... I laughed so hard! 😂😂😂
I think the orange blossom bit is inspired from the traditional french crepes recipe, but not sure it adds the humf in pancakes
I’m making a coat out of pancakes.
I call it my flapjacket.
Lol that's a bar🔥🔥
That is simply punderful.
Dude your jokes are the best
"Control pancakes": sounds like what it felt like, when the ex would watch me cook...and tell me I was doing it ALLLLLL WROOOOONG! hahahaha
Freedom feels good.
jasmine is being super active on the tasty videos who else stan
jasmin iconic no cap me stan
Putting you pancake butter on a baking sheet turns it into just a cake. The process of cooking it in a pan with oil/ butter gives it it's iconic taste
I’ve tried the whipping egg whites one and the buttermilk one and they both work well! I think another hack not mentioned was using the cap of the bottle of the vanilla to measure it!!
love ur channel I literally had pancakes like an hour ago
Pancakes are awesome..!! 🤣 Thank you for the update..!!
Everyone needs more pancake hacks in their life and that’s a fact! Great video!
I use vinegar in milk instead of buttermilk, but let it sit 5-8 minutes. It definitely works.
I love this series
I eat pancakes *a lot*, a bit of an obsession for sure. I bought a nonstick pan off amazon with four circles for the batter to go in and that was a great purchase. Perfect pancakes every time. Also, highly recommend Kodiak Cakes if you're not doing your own batter from scratch.
Kodiak Cakes are soooooo good!
I highly recommend this pancake hack, I used it everyday when my kids were younger, make a loose pancake batter then add a packet of your favorite instant oatmeal (brown sugar, strawberry, banana, whatever) then cook like normally. They make a more hearty and filling pancake while adding different flavors
Fun video! I’ll stick with my traditional pancakes though.
I’ve always used butter both in the batter and in the pan. I usually use vinegar to make buttermilk and it works perfectly
You need to do all the hacks individually to see what ones work.
It looks so delicious
The egg white hack actually does work. I use it myself. It didn't work in this video because the batter was left to rest.
I'm gonna try that rice cooker pancake... Thanks..
I never expected one day I will see someone eating pancakes using chopsticks... today is the day
FYI, the rice cooker one varies A TON between who makes. Half the people I’ve seen test it ended up with a runny uncooked mess, while the other half end up with perfect pancakes. The rice cooker you use will change the result, test at your own risk.
Can we appriciate Annie collecting hacks for chefs to try?
Pouring batter from a standard measuring jug will yield similar results to the dispenser if youre careful. The rice cooker hack is clutch.
I like to use 1/3 cup measuring cup. It works well and I would be washing the measuring cup anyway.
Omg i need you to try bannana bread hacks!
This video made me get up and make pancakes at 2am
This recipe looks delicious
LOVE THEESE! :D
The butter also helps to form a little crunch at the rim which I love.
my fav part
Yum! I wants some! XD
💖💖💖LOVE THIS RECIPES SO MUCH💖💖💖
Awesome Hacks 😍 I will try that 😊
Looks so good and yummie!🙂👍
Hello dear 👋 how are you doing?
The sparkling water is supposed to make the pancakes more fluffy, not more crispy or brown... Because of the CO2 in the sparkling water, the dough gets bubbly. It's a hack you'll use in German cake recipes :)
Considering the butter: Use butter in the dough, the pan AND on top. Butter has wayyyy much flavor than oil. :)
The hacks aren’t meant to be done all with the same batter..... I would try each hack separately but I do love the whole Tasty team!!!
Extra !, merci de nous régaler ainsi...
I think jasmine is one of my favourite people in tasty
Crack the egg in a container and then use the bottle and squeeze it near the egg yolk to pick it up, this is how I normally separate eggs (its faster than trying to do it in the shell)
gotta try that rice cooker method. It sure can do anything 🤔
For the buttermilk substitute I always warm the milk a bit first and then it helps it work quicker 😁 also make sure to use freshly squeezed juice - idk y but it seems to work better 🍋
Thank you for these hacks 👍🏻
*I don’t want much for myself. I just want the person reading this to be healthy, happy and loved. Wish you a good day.*
I wish the same for you As Well!!!
Aww my dad loves pancakes!
Annie so cute. She makes it all looks like fun, know it is work. The sheet metal pan pancake would be so cool if you have guests. Wonder if a air frier would work?
@A Spirit was thinking it was but saw Anne. She still cute and bubbly.
Here is my couple hacks. I simply use just add water mix (about 2 cups) substitute with milk, melt 1/3 cup butter with about 1/4 cups peanut butter or Nutella tsp vanilla and 1 mashed banana, whisk mix and milk to just thick of desired consistency add melted mixture and 2 eggs. Fold in.
For cooking I never use oil or butter. Just mix directly on a flat skillet they will not stick. And come out very fluffy and smooth
For the buttermilk, you need it to be warm, not cold, not room temperature, warm
Jasmine is so entertaining! 😍😁😌
I have separated more eggs in the last few months than I ever have before, and I use a slotted spoon. Yay!
I have one simple batter hack Krustez Buttermilk Pancake mix..I've tried them all and it is the best and available in quantities that make it a pantry staple and for cooking nothing like a cast iron pan or griddle with bacon fat for the oil. :)
Hey! Listen to me now: buttermilk make it by whipping heavy cream past the butter stage (find butter recipie at home and save the milk that comes out of it)
kudos for Jasmine for getting more airtime with Tasty but it also feels like she's getting more time because most of the senior chefs have already left.
We want more of this series
POV: your eating pancakes when your watching this video! 🤣
I have a great suggestion for making it big alvin should make giant shawarma wrap
Hello dear 👋 how are you doing?
I am mainly here because there is food and when I was younger I used to watch it all the time
When I don’t have buttermilk, I use 1 part milk and 1 part Greek yogurt. It works rly well!
a hack for diy buttermilk is to let milk and vinegar (i like to use apple cider vinegar) sit for a little bit and that curdles really nicely
Another pancake hack I've seen: I work in a daycare and we used to serve pan-cupcakes for snack, and it was just pancake mix poured into muffin tins and baked and the kids loved them
the ending backsound is sound for chef out of water too! im sorry for unrelated comment, but i miss coow series :(
Do we know if it's coming back?
I make mini pancakes on the sheet pan. Heat the sheet pan in a 375 oven, then pour out two in diameter pancakes. The pan has to be hot. Return to oven, flip as usual. Serve a stack of minis.
You can also do this with cup cake tins if you like them perfectly the same size and with crispy edges.
I love your hair!!!
The best looking pancakes is use a nonstick pan with no butter no oil or no spray. Just a dry pan. Try it. You’ll be amazed how beautiful they turn out.
I’ll like whipping the egg whites in a carton and folding them into instant pancake batter along with butterscotch chips or chopped Heath bar. Mmmm mmm mmmm.
Alvin should do hack or hassle of brownies 👍🏻👍🏻
Alvin should make a giant lollipop for one of the ep tasty makes it big btw huge fan love u guys
Love you guys
Like others have said, I don’t think cooking in butter is a hack, it’s how I’ve always done it. I think you had too much butter though, I always put small knob in, coat the skillet then wipe out the excess with a paper towel. Then you don’t get greasy pancakes.
Freeze left over pancakes (waffles too) and reheat in the microwave or toaster at a later time!
Man I'm just *flipping out* over some of these pan cake hacks! 😋
I always use that buttermilk hack. I don't use enough buttermilk to keep it in the fridge at all times. I only ever need up to a cup at a time when I do, so I put a tbs. lemon juice in per cup of milk and let it sit for a few while I do other things, and it works just fine. Vinegar (the more neutral white distilled) works just as well if you haven't any lemon juice on hand.
so what's the recipe for the control group of pancakes?
WOW it looks absolutely delicious! 😋🌹👍👌💐😍😋
Thank you so much for always sharing delicious recipes! 😋👌😊🌹

Thank you for sharing this recipe my friend 😋🌹👍👌💐😍😋
Pancakes are the epitome of KISS
Oohhh yummy
When she said butter instead of oil i was like "uhhh i didnt know i already was doing a hack oh shi----" my mom always told me to use butter on the pan for pancakes XD
I m an indian and we make buttermilk at home every day it is just yogurt and water whisked together 😌
Who is here during Ramadan?
Meh
Plz do tacos next!! 🙏🏼🌮🤤
Buttermilk hack is good for those who don't have it in their country
Try making Belgian waffles batter into pancakes using a griddle i do it for normal pancakes and gluten free turns out amazing every time
