John Fogerty was the lead singer for Creedence Clearwater Revival in the 60's and early 70's. He left to pursue a solo career and CCR broke up after that. They made some absolutely legendary songs during their short time as a band, this is one of them 🙂

100% CCR is a deep deep rabbit hole, no bad songs to pick. If you need one to start with try Born On The Bayou.

This is one of two Creedence songs about rain. The other is "Who'll Stop the Rain", another great song.

Followed a short here first timer, this is an absolute classic, have sung it standing in the rain with mates with our arms around each other, a real pub song.
    G'day from Australia.

From the man himself; this is about tension with Tom at the height of their success and...therefore, have you ever seen the rain on such a sunny day? The crowd interaction is a nice touch.

John Fogerty. The only singer who was sued for sounding too much like himself. He was the lead singer for Creedance Clearwater Revival (CCR). He got sued after he left the group and started recording under his own name. His breakout song after successfully defending himself in court was Center Field

Definitely should have done the original to hear his real voice. His voice was like none other back in the late 60's!

Hi Inna, as a musician CCR was a great group for about 5 years but it ended and his brother, Tom Fogerty passed 🙏 but the band had disputes and sadly never re-united, so many great songs like this and "Run Through the Jungle", Green River", "Fortunate Son" and many more

CCR had so many hit songs, when the put out a greatest hits album, it was a 2 LP set in 1976 with 20 songs. 10 years layer, they released Chronicles, Vol 2 with another 20 hit songs. Their discography is nearly unparalleled.

Great reaction, Inna! John has one of the most recognizable voices in rock music. With CCR, he had many hits in the late 60s and into the 70s. Even though he still has the voice, you should listen to some of the original songs.

Try "I put a spell on you." Creedence often opened concerts with the song. It gets your attention FAST. Fogerty kills it.

The "G" sounds similar to yogurt... FO-GUR-TEE. "BORN ON THE BAYOU"... "FORTUNATE SON"... "RUN THROUGH THE JUNGLE". Creedence Clearwater Revival's 3CD Greatest Hits has 36 songs.

Ok, let's go: it's been a while since I last heard this song and when I saw it the first time I thought it was magnificent and I'm sorry it's so short and the orchestra in the world makes it more magnificent and I loved this version, if I can tell you recommend a song I would recommend Self Control by Laura Braingan, it's an excellent song and I think you'll like it Inna and that's it, continue with the work you're doing and greetings from Brazil to you Inna! 💚💛💚💛

not all 'rain songs' are about sadness, etc... I mean...
Rain Is A Good Thing, by Luke Bryan...
"Rain makes corn, corn makes whiskey
Whiskey makes my baby feel a little frisky
Back roads are boggin' up, my buddies pile up in my truck
We hunt our hunnies down, we take 'em into town
Start washin' all our worries down the drain
    Rain is a good thing"
    I digress lol..
CCR is a deep dive.. hold your breath!👍🏼✌🏼🇨🇦

Iconic song, the audience sang because they all knew it by heart. CCR were huge in the late sixties early seventies time and John Fogerty was the heart and soul of the band. He wrote many hits, most of them less than three minutes.

You MUST listen to the original by Creedence Clearwater Revival.. This is the weakest version of the song you could find (not your fault, you had no way of knowing)..
Creedence developed their own style of southern folk rock affectionately called Swamp Rock, a reference to to the swamps in Louisiana around the Mississippi delta. The swamps are referred to as the Bayou (Louisiana was originally French territory). After you listen to the original to this song the next up should be "Born on the Bayou". Creedence had top 10 hit after hit in the late 60s and early 70s.

IMO orchestra doesn't serve John's music well. It doesn't capture the rawness of John's vocals. Need to react to actual CCR videos to capture the band's rawness sound. CCR songs "I Got A Spell On You" & "Born On The Bayou" are a good start for you Inna since you never heard of John Fogerty (Fo-ger-ty) and Creedence Clearwater Revival. 😎
