As much as everyone loves that great deep voice of Bill’s and the “baby, baby…I’ll get down on me knees for you”…Bobby rips people up with those highs…and so easily is able to harmonize back lower with Bill in the mid-range. Two fantastic talents that made a perfect duet.
I’m an 80’s baby and I think todays music stinks. There is no originality is music now. There are very few distinctive artists these days. And everything is auto tuned. I love music from the 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s because of the originality and no one sounded like each other. Songs also had more meaning to them.
“The Righteous Brothers” are considered by most to be the Greatest Male Vocal Duet Of All Time. I agree. Between Bill Medley’s Lows and Bobby Hatfield’s Highs they can hit every note on an 73 key piano. No other male singers can do that. Legendary. “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’’ was the most played song on radio in the 20th Century "Unchained Melody" - Bobby Hatfield Live 1965 Andy Williams Show (with his mother sitting right behind him) Considered by most as The Greatest Live Male Vocal Performance In History... I agree. Bobby’s use of “Runs” is masterful. He created the style and set the table that all others have fed off of for decades. 7 notes just to say the word “I” is melodic brilliance. Their name came from doing a show near a marine base in So Calif and a black marine said to them…. You two guys are Righteous Brothers. In 1983, in Newport Beach O.C. Calif. Bill and Bobby at the Jolly Roger Restaurant . I was 13 feet away for... "Unchained Melody"- "You've Lost That Lovin Feeling" - "Soul And Inspiration".... They were perfect, awesome, amazing, incredible......
Listening to this again solidifies the fact that I lived through the greatest era of music that's ever existed. Kids, your grandparents were way cooler than you think. Enjoy
Two beautiful talented men still making women swoon nearly 60 years later. We boomer teens had the pleasure of hearing this blue eyed soul music going through our puppy love years. Thank you for your sincere reaction.
Young women who see this for the first time love them... They all of a sudden become much more feminine and look happy... The two were extremely talented and masculine, something most young women were taught is a bad thing and has vanished from society..... Turns out they like it a lot... Take care 2519.
❤ EXACTLY! I hope people react to more obscure songs like Just once in My Life, For your Love and Hung on You which was the A side of the 45 release of Unchained melody.
The two of them had so much talent and discipline they were almost playing with the audience... They sang with restraint but the audience knew it was coming and when it does, you just have to laugh because it's so unbelievably great... Great content young lady, take care.
The Brothers were pure singing talent. What a time to be a young teenager with these guys, Motown, the British invasion, and on and on. We only had AM radio then and little transistor radios but it was one hit after another with new songs and artists every day. I'm not fond of the body feeling old and achy at times but my mind makes me still feel like a teenager, lol. Very happy young folks can and do appreciate these artists.
your initial reaction was absolutely stunning just remember these are actual guys singing with no gimmicks...just their voices...powerhouse at its best
shout out to whomever staged this cause the way its filmed & the lighting is actually amazing. The way the background singers appear later on then it goes back to spotlight. Its brilliantly moody & really suits the song perfectly.
Amen! When I first heard this I was 15 and my “steady”, Karen, was going to dump me for Mike. And when this song came on I criiiieeeed! My ❤️ broke ! That is a memory. Thank you, Bill and Bobby!
One of the back up singers on this recording was a very young teenager named Cher. Saw them in Vegas, great show. My date was shocked at how tall they were-Bobby 6’4-5 and Bill 6’8-9. I met Bill years later and he’s a genuinely nice guy.
I like seeing young people "discover" music I grew up with. I might have to subscribe to your channel. You're much more articulate than so many others of your generation. You describe what you're experiencing very nicely.
Those two singers of the Righteous Brothers were decades ahead of their time and their ability to harmonize such different tones and pictures together and make the major impact that their songs make. Major soul from these two great singers.
This is why their known as the Dynamic Duo! This song was the #1 requested song to radio stations in the 20th century. I've been a big fan since 1964, still am. Hard to believe Bill Medley deep voice is now 81. He's doing 10 shows in FL at the present time. Sadly not with Bobby Hatfield but Bucky Heard. Bobby sadly passed in 2003. Sadly missed, was one of the best.
You are the first reactor to this song that actually listened to the lyrics. Most people, understandably, focus on the voices and harmonizing, but miss the utterly devastating story being told.
I was about 10 years old when this song came out. I sang along with it for many years not really knowing the lyrics. I was you tubing when I came across this. Watching her natural reaction made me print the lyrics. I then understood why this was the most played song ever on radio...and this is before FM radio. A very sensual young lady.
You've Lost That Loving Feeling by The Righteous Brothers was the most played record on American radio in the 20th century; in only 35-years it was played over eight-million times.
“The Righteous Brothers” are considered by most to be the Best Male Vocal Duet Of All Time. I agree. Between Bill Medley’s Lows and Bobby Hatfield’s Highs they can hit every note on an 88 key piano. No other male singers can do that. Legendary.
I apologize for making the 88 key reference, not looking down the comments and seeing that you had already made the reference 3 weeks before me. Sorry, my friend. I'm 57 and had parents very much into music of the 50's and 60's and so I had grown up a huge fan of the Righteous Brothers, who were a favorite of my stepmother. So when I moved out of the house after high school, I took my stepmother's 3 original 33rpm vinyl LP's (she wasn't nice to us kids so I felt justified! lol) and still have them today!
I'm 75 and this was the music of my youth. The music of the 50s - 60 s- and Early ,70s was beyond compare. In all venues. Rock- country. - soul and all others. The youth of today need to listen and learn what real talent was all about
I married my one true love from high school 10 years ago.........I fell in love with her in 1972. I am 71 and she is 70 and we are both soooooo happy and in love. Life is good! It may take a while but God has a plan.
I remember driving a 1965 Olds Cutlass down a country road in the late 90s and the total vibe and nostalgia for an era I didn't live in when this song came on the original radio in the car. Such a vibe. But again I love how overwhelmingly positive and genuine her reaction is. Music from the 60s is just that timeless.
Everything about this song is perfect. Barry Mann's melody, Cynthia Weill's amazing lyrics, Gene Page's arrangement, Phil Spector's production, the studio group led by drummer Earl Palmer and pianist Leon Russell, the backup vocals by the Blossoms and of course Bill Medley's baritone lead vocal and Bobby Hatfield's tenor. This song is a 3 minute 50 second miracle.
The way you react to this classic is beautiful. Your smile and and you just taking Joy has put a smile on my face.x people who can play instruments and backing singers with talent and of course The Righteous brothers. But your Joy in this Song.x Stay Strong Decent People. Cheer's 🇬🇧
True. I've heard at least 100 different people do this song and none of them are even close. However, Bobby Hatfield's single of it was probably my favorite.
A sure-fire way to create pop impact is to record something sounding bigger than whatever else is around at the time. "You've Lost That Loving' Feeling" has a fantastic acutely heartbreaking opening line, telling you that however loud the song gets, this is a hopeless battle.
I was 2 months old when this came out. Baby, baby, I'll get down on my knees for you Oh that gets me every time. The vulnerability in the lyrics and his voice
I'm 72. This is the music of our coming of age. There is nothing like it anymore.
As much as everyone loves that great deep voice of Bill’s and the “baby, baby…I’ll get down on me knees for you”…Bobby rips people up with those highs…and so easily is able to harmonize back lower with Bill in the mid-range. Two fantastic talents that made a perfect duet.
bill my fav voice ever perfect i love Bobby but bill n dirty dancing great duo
Captain obvious
So magical together.
No auto tune
The song unchained melody Bobby sung in the movie Ghost.
This generation wonders why we old folks think their music stinks, because we grew up with real talent
Well said my man
So right about that!
Well said, this is how a love song is written
!!!!!

Great reaction

You'd enjoy their song, Soul and Inspiration...
Yes. Please. Soul and inspiration
My favorite!
Most Definitely do Soul and Inspiration!
This is the best video of it

Bobby vs Bill is an unfair comparison - Bobby can go higher with his falsetto, but if Bill went lower only whales and elephants could hear him.
I may be 62 yrs. old..but young lady..You have a heart of GOLD! Stay safe and happy. You deserve the best in life!
57 years and the magic still works. Pure talent.
You're a beautiful young lady and it is a delight watching you react to songs I grew up with.
I bloody love watching younger people react to classic songs
The two of them had so much talent and discipline they were almost playing with the audience... They sang with restraint but the audience knew it was coming and when it does, you just have to laugh because it's so unbelievably great... Great content young lady, take care.
This is, what is called Blue Eyed Soul! So much great Music came from the 60's and the 70's! Enjoy it!
This gal gets it. I envy the people that are hearing this song for the first time.
I find it amazing that almost 60 years later, this video is within the top 5 most viewed videos you have…
The Brothers were pure singing talent. What a time to be a young teenager with these guys, Motown, the British invasion, and on and on. This song is on the short list for potentially “THE BEST” song of ALL time!
Your reaction when he sings "I get down on my knees for you" is so perfect.
your initial reaction was absolutely stunning just remember these are actual guys singing with no gimmicks...just their voices...powerhouse at its best
Talent was just better back then. My generation can’t compare to this level ✊🏾
Nothing compares to the music of the 60s and 70s.
It was so pure and clean...no tricks, no theatrics. Just pure talent!
And lots of practice and rehearsal.
I love how you said, "in slow motion". Again, your reaction is from the heart. Well done!
I love the fact that you are willing to express your emotions,
I'm 73 and back then that's when music was music 🎶
Many younger fans remember this song from the Top Gun soundtrack. These boys had that blue eyed soul kicking🎵🎶
Nothing sadder in this life than what those words describe as it’s happening to you, and this song makes you feel it.
They were a great pair! Rest in Peace Bobby Hatfield.
Thanks, Angela, for being the one among many who listens and understands the music.
shout out to whomever staged this cause the way its filmed & the lighting is actually amazing. The way the background singers appear later on then it goes back to spotlight. Its brilliantly moody & really suits the song perfectly.
Good music always hits you in the soul, on a cellular level. These musicians give a part of themselves for their fans. No electronics at all!
Kudos to you girl - you actually listened to the song and reacted appropriately (and honestly) to one of the saddest lines ever written.
There is not single person or duo today that can do this song as good as they did
I loved your reactions! It's so nice to see a younger generation enjoying this. It's timeless.
Amen! When I first heard this I was 15 and my “steady”, Karen, was going to dump me for Mike. And when this song came on I criiiieeeed! My ❤️ broke ! That is a memory. Thank you, Bill and Bobby!
This song by the Righteous Brothers was the most played song - 8.2 million times - on radio and TV in the 20th century
Loved your reaction to this one. Great song.
The perfect reaction. Thanks! God bless you!
Just love when youngins finally hear our music
Still give me goosebumps all these years later. Great song.
So happy you like this. In 1964 I was 19 so you know how we loved them. Unforgettable.

What a breath of fresh air you are. The world would be a so much better place if more people were like you. Thank you for being you.
THE most listened song of the 20th Century... fact.
Soon to be the most listened to song of the 21st Century ........ judging by the quantity of youtube reactions :D
not to mention all the soundtracks it's on.
I like seeing young people "discover" music I grew up with. I might have to subscribe to your channel. You're much more articulate than so many others of your generation. You describe what you're experiencing very nicely.

Most listened to radio song last century. ❤️
Beautiful reaction by a beautiful young lady
Really nice to see people rediscovering music ~ this is the song you listen to wistfully after a break-up
Angela -- you are a special person. Mult-dimensional. Thank you!
Four words: These dudes could SANG!!!
Your reaction was perfect, honestly. You really felt the song in your heart, and understood it. Love it!

I'm so impressed that you realized that this is not actually a love song, but a blues song. It's vert depressing and beautiful at the same time
You have a golden heart.
This was the most played song of the 20th century.
The bar scene with Tom Cruise in Top Gun...lol ...These guys have had a gift from God to Touch our Hearts & Souls.
Also, a very faithful cover by Hall & Oates in the early '80s.
And there's no tenderness in your eyes when I reach for you. Classic sorrow put into poetic harmony.
"Soul and Inspiration! My favorite from The Righteous Brothers!! Each singer takes a turn singing verses...#PERFECTION!!
It's the most played song in rock and roll history.
Beautiful song and anyone who doesn't think that oh well looks like you were ready to cry anyway
This was the most played song on radio and TV of the 20th century. Calling it a classic is an understatement.
Listening to this song will change you forever. Love your reaction💕
I love the way you break down the "Soul" of the music, thank you!
What separates today's music from music like this is the emotion and depth of feeling. Bill and Bobby made you feel their songs.
You are the first reactor to this song that actually listened to the lyrics. Most people, understandably, focus on the voices and harmonizing, but miss the utterly devastating story being told.

I was 15 when this came out, riding a bus on Natural Bridge road in Pine lawn Mo. 1965.
Loved this reaction to an oldie and this lady gets and feels music plus she’s the most beautiful woman ever.

Your moving reaction..brought me a tear...
Righteous Brothers plus Phil Spector wall of sound equals winner. What voices those boys had.
I'm 75 and this was the music of my youth. The music of the 50s - 60 s- and Early ,70s was beyond compare. In all venues. Rock- country. - soul and all others. The youth of today need to listen and learn what real talent was all about
Great talent: beautiful lyrics, soul, and voices. No auto tune and done live. Nobody-NOBODY-will ever sing and perform like The Righteous Brothers.
What a Great Reaction!
That was the Most Requested Song in the 20th Century!
When all the pieces come together in a song. It I'll never get old. Great singers, great song.
I married my one true love from high school 10 years ago.........I fell in love with her in 1972. I am 71 and she is 70 and we are both soooooo happy and in love. Life is good!

Such was music way back in my day. It cut across all barriers and was universally love by millions.th
Talent Talent Talent!! And Bill Medley and Bobby Hatfield were 24 years old when they performed it here in Dec 1964..
The way you react to this classic is beautiful. Your smile and and you just taking Joy has put a smile on my face.x people who can play instruments and backing singers with talent and of course The Righteous brothers. But your Joy in this Song.x Stay Strong Decent People. Cheer's 🇬🇧
You're entitled to tear up.....This song does it to me every time...it is PERFECT in every respect...These guys OWN this song in their performance.
True. I've heard at least 100 different people do this song and none of them are even close. However, Bobby Hatfield's single of it was probably my favorite.
This song makes the short list of ALL TIME great songs.
This song was in the movie TOP GUN. Tom Cruisesse briefly sings to the woman.
This was the most requested and most played song on the radio of the twentieth century!
Most played record on American radio in the 20th century!!
Powerful song and your commentary is right on. The helplessness in front of the person and emotion from performers voices.
1# played song in the 20th century. Because the way music is diverse today, it will never be surpassed. You are beautiful.
Once again now you have to listen to their song soul and inspiration it's another powerful song like this one I believe you will absolutely love it.
A sure-fire way to create pop impact is to record something sounding bigger than whatever else is around at the time.
"You've Lost That Loving' Feeling" has a fantastic acutely heartbreaking opening line, telling you that however loud the song gets, this is a hopeless battle.
I am so glad you recognize quality.
THANK YOU KEEP UP BRINGING US GREAT MUSIC GOD BLESS.
You get it young lady...6:30-32, "Maaaan!"
A heartfelt, sincere, reaction and insightful review, always cuts right through👍
Amazing what you see... and your emotion... thank you for sharing...

Love the way you totally got this song and awesome reaction to it
You have become my favorite reactor. The emotions that hat are evoked from the songs is the essence of music’s true purpose
I was 2 months old when this came out. Baby, baby, I'll get down on my knees for you
Oh that gets me every time. The vulnerability in the lyrics and his voice
I felt the need to give you a hug at the end.
