you're a star⭐️ for reading til the end 🙃
I love watching younger people's reaction to the Righteous Brothers. The look on y'alls faces is Precious.
It warms my old heart
Me too! 😂
Very easy to appreciate good music regardless of when it was made it
@@tomsnyder8957 indeed I also like some modern music Ed Sheeran Perfect is a lovely song that also warms my old heart especially the version with Andrea Bocelli. Beatiful
Aren't you envious, they can go 20 just catching up
The "BABY... SOMETHING BEAUTIFUL'S DYING" line is one of the best deliveries in music history. I don't care what anybody says.
I don't think too many going to argue that one with you lol...
You are a delight to watch
FACTS!!!
Rogue I love your warmth
One of the truly great songs ever.
“The Righteous Brothers” are considered by most to be the Best Male Vocal Duet Of All Time. I agree. Between Bill Medley’s Lows and Bobby Hatfield’s Highs they can hit every note on an 88 key piano. No other male singers can do that. Legendary.
Simon and Garfunkel exceeded them in many ways. Righteousness Brothers are fabulous, but Simon and Garfunkel were the supreme duo. 500,000 at their Central Park Concert, 600,000 people listened to them in Rome.
@@linjicakonikon7666 I can't decide between Art and Bobby.
This was "The Total Package", when it came to male duets. S&G were good, but it was mostly Paul Simon - either of these guys just kill it...
@@linjicakonikon7666 I love Simon n Garfunkel but they where not singing SOUL music like this.
... perhaps THE BEST song of all time! Right here! PURE talent!
That song was recorded 57 years ago! And it's the most-played song of the 20th century. Righteous Brothers are timeless classics and just a total class act. No frills, just incredible talent.
Did anybody explain that this song was the MOST PLAYED song on the radio during the 20th Century? Loved your reaction, thank you for cheering up a bad day 👼🌷
so i've heard haha thanks for watching and glad it could help. I hope you have a GREAT rest of the day! 😊
That "most played song of the 20th century" is radio, tv, and movie screen time added up (just for some added detail to an amazing fact)
Over 8 million plays in 35- years and that's just on American radio.
@Daniel Dambrosio Yes .... over & over & over again, Has anyone explained that there's too many reaction videos on these guys? Infact if you search youtube you will see a pattern where people who claim that they've never heard this song before (Never heard of one of the biggest songs of all time) & all we see is a fake surprised look in the thumbnail!
Dont get me wrong, love the song, but I believe it depends on which radio station one is listening to. Glen Campbell made the same statement about 'Witchita Lineman". I think they are both probably right depending on the demographic, no?
The way you know and appreciate music makes you a joy to watch RR.
😄
This young lady really gets a good song. I like her 👍
Live performance. One take. No auto tune, no studio tricks. Straight up pure talent.
Correction, not live, lipp sync, this is exactly the same as the studio version!!
@@SuperDutchjohn I didn't know that. Thank you!
@@SuperDutchjohn It was not a lip sync, it was an overdub. The version that was performed was replaced with the studio version, but they were singing in that video.
Will Ferrell’s Dad (Roy Lee Ferrell) was the keyboardist and saxophonist for the Righteous Brothers for two decades. Fun fact!
What a perfect analogy!!! Bobby and Bill are like a PB&J sandwich. You are so spot on and so adorable too. I love your reactions.
Very funny as I am a Bill and my brother is a Bobby.
She seems to have conveniently forgotten that she said watching and listening to Bobby singing Unchained Melody solo turned her brain to mush. ;-)
Love it when the younger generation experience real music....still blows me away
Their music is eternal. Heard them in the '60's and this old lady still feels it today. Glad you have found them.
Ur not old
Age is only a # Tina Turner Proved That And Tom Brady Is Proving It Still
The Righteous Brothers' live version of "Unchained Melody" is without a doubt the finest live performance I've ever heard. It literally gave me chills. The studio recording is magnificent, but the live version is even a level above that.
Fun fact: one of the background singers on this track was a young unknown teenager named Cher. Bill is still singing, with a new partner now, and still sounds pretty good.
WOW!!! Did not know that.........
One of those background singers is a young Cher! Great reaction!
really?? thats a fun fact 😄
Really?!?!?! Do tell. I'm an old fan, raised on Righteous Bros, Elvis, and the like, always (stayed up late to watch "I got u babe" on the S&C show as a kid) been in love w/Cher. And tidbits like this are priceless. She is actually in this video(however distant) ?
Wow! Can't wait to tell my 35 yr old son that. He's the"3rd Generation" genius of my musical family's history!
@@MrRaidermanbill Well, that's what I had heard. So to respond to your comment, I looked it up myself. Apparently, Cher sang back-up on the song itself, in the recording studio (as she did with the Ronettes' "Be My Baby" and "Da Da Doo Ron Ron". So, is she is the chorus in the TV studio where this video was filmed? I guess I cannot say for sure now, but she IS connected to the song itself!
Bill Medley - Bobby Hatfield.... "The Righteous Brothers" Greatest Male Vocal Duet In Music History. They can hit 10 octaves between them.. Amazing
Being a bass-baritone myself, there are way too few of us in popular music these days. All praise to Bill Medley!
Are you familiar with Geoff Castallucci's version of Tennessee Ernie Ford's "sixteen Tons"? It's all bass!
Lots of bass around in a cappella. Tim Foust & Chance of Home Free, Geoff Castallucci from Voiceplay & solo stuff . Also Avi Kaplan previously from Pentatonix. All awesome bass singers all different. So much delight for our ears.
What you said. They need more of us Mark.
I played drums for them since I was 15. I left to join Redbone in '73...
Then you are native American...Where you the same drummer that played on their biggest hit "Come And Get Your Love?.
@@54nomore love Redbone! Bought the greatest hits CD when CDs first came, out, at the Stanford Pow Wow.
REDBONE for the WIN!!!!!!!
@@54nomore No, that was Pete DePoe. When I replaced him in 1973, they already had recorded it and all we did was re-do all the vocals. I sang BGs and overdubbed the cowbell...
@@butchrillera3433 Thanks for the reply and your comment. You then must be Native American? I was a senior in high school back in 1972. when I first heard redbone on the radio. And when everyone was telling me they were [Indians] Native American I could not believe it. When I first heard them I thought they were Black Americans. I finally got to watch Redbone live on Don Kirshner's The Midnight Special television Show" singing their biggest hit "Come And Get Your Love." The rest as they say is history.
The Righteous Brothers are why we have the term 'blue-eyes soul' referring to White guys who can sing right next to Sam Cooke, Wilson Pickett, and David Ruffin, etc. They started as part of a larger vocal group, split-off to do their own thing, and in their first appearance together in a small club a Black soldier in the audience hollered "Righteous, brother!" and they took that as their name. BUT, here's the thing RogueRxyce; every reactor does 'Unchained Melody', 'You've Lost That Loving Feeling', and 'Soul & Inspiration' as well they should, outstanding songs - but no one ever does their upbeat hardcore gut-busting Soul classics. Near the last 3rd of 'You've Lost That loving Feeling' when the lights come on revealing background singers, one of them is the great Darlene Love with her Blossoms . . . and when I say "great" I mean she might just be the most remarkable voice to come out of the era - and below is a link to Darlene and The Blossoms doing 'The Night Time Is The Right Time' with Bobby & Bill. And it kills. I've also included a couple of other links; another more high-energy Righteous Brothers cut, a stunning Blues standard by them, and a clip of the great Darlene Love doing 'River Deep Mountain High that is just so stupidly good it may have you in tears. Now I'm asking you, as the prettiest woman on UA-cam, react to these, you will not be disappointed.

and you'll like the violins in this, but wow, what a voice!
ua-cam.com/video/1W3C_xOPT9M/v-deo.html
The most remarkable voice from the era?! you've sold me. i'll have to give them a listen 😄
@@RogueRxyce THANK YOU for these posts. and yes please, and by all means if you havent yet, ‘soul and inspiration’ and ‘just once in my life’ will not disappoint. honest.
I love Darlene Love’s song Christmas(baby please come home)
Man when you mentioned David, Wilson, along with the Righteous Brothers, you brightened my day. They remain some of my all time favorites.
No one stands close to Sam Cook.
You’re so beautiful, and seeing you react to songs like this makes you look like an absolute angel. All the joy that’s coming out of you in these videos is making me smile so much. Please keep going:)
Before Autotune, Ableton, abs and Idol, there was Bobby and Bill.
You are the most talented reactor that I have come across. And I've seen a lot. You have just the right amount of everything. A total joy. Here's my advice: Check out a LOT MORE of the oldies (1960s and 1970s, getting into rock and funk in the 1970s). If you do it, you'll pick up all the 55+ year old Baby Boomers like me. Here are a few more for you from way back: Tom Jones: "I'll Never Fall In Love Again", Simon and Garfunkel: "Bridge Over Troubled Water", Queen: 1981 Live at Montreal "Somebody To Love", KC and the Sunshine Band: "Boogie Man". These 4 are all great live performances.
oh wow thank you so much! 🙏🏽
Good choices there David
Great list of songs…..would love to watch these reactions. So I second the motion. In fact let’s add another: “I Second That Emotion” by Smokey Robinson & The Miracles
@@RogueRxyce thinking Tom Jones: "I'll Never Fall In Love Again" is worth a watch
Bridge Over Troubled Water is one of the greatest pieces of music ever.
Friend of mine used to walk up to a girl on the beach, kneel down, and sing: "Baby, baby, I'd get down on my knees for you."
Absolutely don't apologize for listening repeatedly to parts. These two were the perfect match. I'm 51 and have listened to this song thousands of times in my life. It NEVER gets old, as perfect songs tend to never do.
This girl has a very sweet spirit….
Great reaction to a superb classic, and you adorned it with an absolutely stunning smile, eyes that sparkle enchantingly, and a genuinely enthusiastic attitude. Thank you for that.
🙏🏽
Bobby's voice sounds like silk and i wanna swoon. Bill's voice sounds like velvet and makes me quiver right down to my... very soul (whatcha think i was gonna say? LOL)
Feet
Your reaction is awesome!! I've been in love with the Righteous Brothers for most of my life and I love seeing new generations discovering them!! The cat at the end was too cute lol
Two beautiful men with mega talent and soulful delivery. Still reaching the love factor in us all nearly Sixty years later. Thanks for your sweet reaction.
Greatest song of all time, in my opinion. Another great one by them is “soul and inspiration”. Also Bill Medley sang “the time of my life” for dirty dancing
I was 16 when this came out & fell in love with it just as much as today. It''s nice to see the younger generation like it just as much. TIMELESS!!!!!!
The words seduce and the wall of sound overcomes. These two are magic together.
Greatest Male Duo of all time. Bar None.
The range that is represented by these two is astounding. Billy can go really low and Bobby can go really. High.
I love seeing beautiful young ladies like yourself experiencing old school romance.
What you just listened to was a distinctive recording style pioneered by record producer Phil Spector. It was called, “The Wall of Sound.” The Righteous Brothers continued to use it on subsequent recordings like, “Soul and Inspiration.”
fun fact: Spector murdered a woman and died in prison.
You can't find music like this anymore!............Priceless and Timeless
“Your my soul and my heart’s inspiration “ has got to be the next song by them. Pick the live performance, you won’t regret it. I think it’s their best song and I was in the music industry for a lot of my life. Love your appreciation of music! Beautiful smile.
You had one of the best reactions I have seen. This is my all time favorite song. The internet says it was the most requested song of the 20th century.
She is so good with these reactions! You should check out her reaction of Rosalia and the song Me Quedo Contigo. It is such a beautiful song and Royce's reaction is very emotional!
I understand why the internet says that. it's so good! haha thanks for watching 😊
No auto tune here! Just love these guys! Glad to see younger people discovering them! 😁 Dont ever apologize for enjoying a great song! ❤
This and Unchained Melody aren't just songs, they are an experience.
This is Live , no sound stage back in 1965 , I heard Cher was one of the backup singers these two can sing I remember watching this on TV !
Blue-eyed soul is still soul!! And these gentlemen are two of the best at it. Maybe the two Best ever!
Yo this reaction was incredible. Thanks for the upload. I had so much fun watching.
Your reaction was absolutely adorable! Such a fabulous song. And a pretty kitty at the end! Great video :)
One thing about solid gold, you never forget it.....Timeless!!!
I must have seen at least a couple of dozen reaction videos to this amazing performance, but the best reaction I saw by far was yours! Thank you so much Rogue - you made my day!! I wish you much success with your channel, and have no doubt you are on your way to the top!!! Best wishes to you,
wow thank you so much for the support! 🙏🏽
God bless them old school white boys. They sure could sing some seriously beautiful melodies.
Great reaction! It’s sad that we don’t have talent like this anymore.
This always gives me goosebumps. I was in HS when this came out. We girls ALL swooned. Bill's bass/baritone makes me melt, every time. I so enjoy watching young people's reaction to this fantastic duo. Bill also sings the song from Dirty Dancing. You should check it out.
Popular in their day? This is the most played song of the 20th century on the airwaves.
If you never got the chance to see them live, you missed out because women just went crazy when they were on stage. I got to see them live 3 times in Las Vegas, all natural talent no electronics added.
It was a true honor being blessed with this rare and raw talent with no auto tune just two guys making magical music! I love watch the younger generations reaction and seeing that they actual love the raw talent they had and is still love by so many.
I love your reaction to this Greatest song and your beautiful face with all your expressions 👏👏👏👏😎😘☮️💟
The most played song of the 20th century for a good reason. Never get tired of watching beautiful women watch the brothers sing. love this
You go girl! Pause it all you like! This 70 year old Moma wished she could have paused it every time she went to one of their concerts. By the way, my husband is still brilliant enough to put them on our stereo ( do you know what that is?) before he asks me to "dance".
This is what missing on television. It's what we could all use now.
You can be a supermodel Thank you for keeping bobbies spirits alive
If y'all's think that was "Righteous"? Then just imagine growing up in the 60' in California listening and living these tunes. Late 50's, all of the 60's and early 70's where absolutely righteous!
Love your reaction to two wonderful singers, they get right down into your soul and they are to me a great duo.
Two versions of this song stood at No 1 and No 2 in the UK charts, at the same time. Unique achievement.
Great reaction. It is amazing that they were both only 24 years old when this video was released.
The blue eyed soul, love from Australia.
I’m 65 years old and I’ve been listening to the Righteous brothers since I was 9 years old , Elvis , the Beatles, Rolling Stones etc, etc and I love to watch the reactions to these young people it’s amazing, there will never be music like this again , keep playing it sister , I love you ❤️😘❤️🥰👏👏👏👍🏼👍🏼🙏🏽🙏🏽
Could these men sing or WHAT??? They were super, super BIG back in the day....
Your reaction just made me smile. Love it when young people discover the wonders of the "oldies". No electronic magic, just pure talent.
Love watching your reactions! So Genuine and real. You notice all the little things as well.
Absolutely the best love song ever and I am 72 years old. Greetings from Sweden.
Your voice is so soothing, I could listen to you talk all day!! I also enjoy your reactions, because you don't analyze music to death. You really enjoy music and it shows, which makes me enjoy it so much more. I just discovered you a few days ago. May I just say I am a 70 year old straight white woman and I think you are beautiful inside and out! I hope that doesn't offend you, keep enjoying music, and I'll keep watching
🙏🏽 happy to hear that Beverly thank you
Great reaction!! The Righteous Brothers were truly blue eyed soul. You should also check out I Believe, Ebb Tide, and You'll Never Walk Alone by the Righteous Brothers. They were just amazing! I really enjoy your reactions!
thank you! 😊
@@RogueRxyce You're welcome😊
Hey, These reactions are like a breath of fresh air!! I sort of stumbled across it, now I'm addicted!. Brilliant!
Thanks 😄 Glad you like em!
Yes absolutely " bring it on back"!!! Shine on young lady ✌️!!!
Rogue any woman that is as pretty as you without a stich of makeup on deserves a veiw I'm so happy I did you were great you weren't going through the motions that's for sure!!! The second you heard talentyou went emotionally and energetically all in! And your reaction to a great song felt so good! I subscribed & liked
When I watch people having so much passion for music .... It just makes my day 🤗
You are so wonderful to watch, I love your appreciation for good music, and how you really feel it.
thank you 🙏🏽
There are a lot of reactions to this iconic performance, but I think you have the best reaction to these legends that I’ve seen so far. I could see the genuine emotions and amazement! I loved your video!
You’re right about how much the arrangement with the strings brings this song to life. Phil Spector was a legit psychopath, but he was also an absolute GENIUS with arrangements and that “wall of sound” approach he brought to these songs. “River Deep, Mountain High” with Tina Turner was probably the best example of his genius in a studio.
I remember hearing this song on the radio in the 1965 I wasn't even in school yet.
i dont know why youre not a tv personality, you have the perfect and very clear voice to do it
Don't worry about pausing and replaying. Your reaction and smile is worth watching it again :)
I feel so lucky to have grown up in the 60's & 70's. UNRIVALED music.
This lady is so cute and I love her reactions, and you can tell she not only understands and appreciates the music but she can also feel it. I’m subbed.
The backup singers were a group called Cher & The Blossoms. Yes, it was THAT Cher.
Every generation loves these guys , perfect !
Music this good stands the test of time and I am grateful for it.
Maybe the guys who wrote: Summer nights for Grease were "inspired" by the bassline in the middle.
i was thinking i knew that bit from somewhere!
@@RogueRxyce I thought it was me who felt the same way. This Song is next to Stairway To Heaven by Led Zeppelin the most played Song in the History of Radio. Blue Eyed Soul was a Coin popularized by a Philly DJ, where Hall & Oates, Karen Young & Len Barry not to mention Vickie Sue Robinson (RIP), are from. This is from a US Rock & Roll Show called Shindig and The Three Backing Vocalists in The Back are The Blossoms who sang Backup for alot of folks. Darlene Love was also in The Crystals who did the "Actual" Lead on He's a Rebel written by Gene Pitney (Town Without Pity) who some say was the inspiration for The Police's Every Breath You Take from his Song Every Little Breath I Take. Sadly Darlene fell on hard times and worked as a Domestic for a time. Bobby Hatfield is no longer with us who died of heart disease who was addicted to Cocaine.
The Dynamic Duo excelled! Big fan of theirs. Worth reacting to For once in my Life, Soul & Inspiration and Rock and Roll Heaven. Bill did a solo Brown Eyed Woman in 68. Fantastic, best video is at Playboy Mansion. Best of success on yr channel.
Loved watching your video. Great song. Beautiful reaction by a beautiful person
You have such a beautiful smile! You are very delightful and entertaining to watch.
You’re a joy to watch. I’m senior and I love watching young folks listening to these classics. Another from them that is incomparable is “Soul and Inspiration”.
Phil Spector produced this and the last one , he is responsible for the strings and that signature wall of sound effect
Wow what a beautiful soul you have RR. Amazing.
I love your reaction , you have a passion for music , and you got a beautiful smile ,
Have you listened to "You're my soul and inspiration" by these two? Oh yeah...you wanna check that out...I promise. Subscribed. I came for the music, but I'm stayin' for the loveliness. The cat is a bonus.👍💖😊
thanks for staying and subscribing. Leo says thank you as well 😂🙏🏽
Check out Bill & Bobby on The Andy Williams Show !!! See Bobby dance !!! I think they did three songs ... Laughing and joking and Andy joining in. What a trio ...

Welcome to old-fashioned Blue-eyed Soul! I enjoyed your reaction. So much good music to rediscover from the 50s, 60s, and 70s.
I love your reactions young lady.
Beautiful soul.
First time I listened and watched the video I got goosebumps! Beautiful song.
I first heard this song in Dec of 1964 on wls Chicago while laying in bed. I was 13 years old and it sent chills down my spine. Still does.
I find it interesting how this 1964 recording's video looks truly dated. But the audio? Excellent! So nice the music quality is quite good.
