Lou lives about 5 miles away from me (where the nice homes are, lol). I've seen him at our grocery store three times over the past 20 years (never with a grocery cart, he's way too cool for that ;-). People usually recognize him so I didn't get to approach him until last time, and I thanked him for all the music and told him I'd seen him live 3 times. He was SOOO kind, patient, friendly and nice, I was visibly a bit nervous, his singing and music has had such a potent impact on so many of us.
(I copy/pasted this from a separate comment I made, thought you'd be interested, cheers)

Awesome that you're his friend. I grew up in the 70s and loved listening to Foreigner. Then in the early 2000s I saw that Lou was going to be performing at the state fair where I live. I never got the chance to see Foreigner when they were together and I loved Lou's solo music too, so I decided to go the concert. In the time period leading up to the concert I decided to buy CDs of all of Foreigner's albums and his solo albums. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to that music again and hearing songs that I didn't know too. He WAS blessed with a great voice. I realized listening to the songs that he also sang clearly, so I could actually understand the words he was saying. There were a lot of artists I liked where I couldn't understand every word.

Lou Graham. He’s like Steve Perry in my mind. Lou Graham is to Foreigner what Steve Perry is to Journey. That once in a lifetime voice that penetrates soul and brings you to literal tears. I remember hearing this as a kid way back when and it grabbed me and I was hooked on Lou Graham’s voice. Much like what happened when I first heard Journey as 6 year old. Voices like that are rare and deserve to be treasured. They’ve been fortunate enough to write songs that are heard by the masses that people like you and I can feel and relate to. If a song can move you like it did in your reaction video, mission accomplished. That’s what it’s all about.

Hi Angela. This song always hits me personally. I don't think I've ever experienced love...at least not mutually. I've been in lots of relationships in my life. Some where I've loved her more than she loved me, and some where she loved me more than I loved her. I don't think there was ever a relationship were it was equally reciprocal. It saddens me that I'll likely never know what that's like, especially when I see so many other couples completely in love with one another. I’m with you on this!! Absolutely beautiful. Love the part when they shake hands and point to each other!! We had so much love for our fellow humans then black or white or blue or green that to me was powerful. This song has many meanings. Loved your raw reaction❤️❤️❤️

Hi Angela great reaction the singer is Lou Gramm the other singer from Mike and the Mechanics is Paul Carrack both are wonderful singers.

Lou Gramm, he’s now a born again Christian with a great voice!! According to his English guitarist/co-writer Mick Jones Lou didn’t like the ballads as much as the real rockin’ songs, but Mick convinced him every time that the ballads would be hits and the rest is history….

I am an old white guy and I just love how there is no racism in music. Black and white musicians and singers just loving there time together to make music one of the most wonderful things that we have as humans on this planet.

Wonderful reaction. "Watching and Waiting" by The Moody Blues" is worthy of a reaction as well.

The backing vocalist who comes in towards the end is the amazing Jennifer Holliday, the original singer of "And I am Telling You I Ain't Going". If you haven't heard it, you're doing yourself a disservice!

You put on such a great haunting love song and this is why I love watching reactions to people that have never heard such a song and drums and guitars and how love brings out the lyrics. Hugs to you.
