It's sad see that Barry is the only one left, all 3 of his brothers are passed, I saw a documentary of his and he looked so alone without his brothers.
Oh yeah, one of my favorites group when I was a teenager. And when Love songs were The expression of love for a woman. They don’t make this songs anymore. If you want to listen to real love songs you have to listen to this oldies.
That's a good start, and are you working to find the great music that's being created by them these days? It's out there, just don't take what's spoonfed.
Just remember it's not OUR music. It belongs to all of us,young and older. But i really love watching younger people appreciating what was the best music of our lives
The thing to remember is that Barry is the older brother and Robin and Maurice are fraternal twins. They are as difference as any other siblings genetically but shared the womb. Probably been harmonizing since the womb. This song is impressive. It was recorded LIVE!! No studio magic brothers doing their thing. Barry coming in and out and the twins are in complete sinc with one another.
Actually, this is a studio recording, though the video makes it looks like it was live. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure they were actually singing during this performance, but the audio isn't from the performance you see. It was recorded in the traditional way, and is actually very complex. It's not something that could be replicated live without backing tracks, or at least not the way it sounds.
This, my dear, lovely young lady, is what a LOVE song sounds like. They may not make ‘em like this anymore but now you’ve heard the best there ever was.
Barry was the whole package. He could've had any woman he chose back then and he did. He chose one and spent his life with her. He not only wrote and sang love songs, he lived one. Great reaction! Such an emotional song. Hits when you're happy or sad.
I had thegreat pleasure to play supporting band to The Bee Gees in Scotland in 1968 in Selkirk Victoria Hall. A magical evening that I Will Never forget.
The Bee Gees were the Best. Their voices were absolutely beautiful, especially Barry and his falsetto. You don't hear voices like this today. So gifted, so talented and pure raw talent. No auto tune, no yelling and screaming, they Just could sing and the Harmony was ridiculous! Amazing, amazing voices from God!❤❤😊😊❤❤😊😊
I danced with my high school girlfriend, my wife, my daughters wedding and one day my granddaughters weddings to this song! Because NO BODY GETS TO MUCH HEAVEN NO MORE
No autotune, all actual instruments and unworldly harmony. Even hard rocker men in their private moments will admit that these guys were simply brilliant
I’m 60 now . 17 then . Something happens to me when I see the younger people get the privilege to listen to “ my music “ It feeds my soul and brings a joy to me not many things do . I need music . It saves me every time .
You are SOOOO right - "they" don't make love songs like this anymore. Probably because people like this don't exist anymore. We're all becoming so self-centered and jaded - it's not in anyone's heart or skill-set to produce such songs anymore. It seems musicians today want to emulate what's popular, rather than take a chance at success with their own unique sound. This expensive life - and becoming ever more so by the day - keeps musicians from breaking onto the scene with THEIR own sound. You're right - it's sad. So thankful we have recordings!! :)
Your poor generation has been so starved for good music, real music, that when you hear it, it overwhelms you. What we took for granted back in the 70s it's like manna from heaven to this generation. I'm glad you had a chance to listen to the wonderful pop music that we had from back in the day!
I'm a 65 year old woman and I have followed the Bee Gees since I was a child. I always enjoy watching reactors fall in love with them. It reminds me of what I must have looked like when I heard their music. Thanks for your reaction, I enjoyed it. I wish you the best in growing your channel. I just subbed. Take care and be well. Peace.
The BEE GEES has been singing since the 60"s, and there music is all about love. You also need to listen to one other brother who is doing solo which is the youngest of them, Andy Gibb
These 3 brothers were so talented. Bee gees total record sales were over 220 million during their career. Sad only Barry is still living. Rip to his brothers
AGREED ! It also proves the starvation of true music the. young kids are lacking and wanting.. and discovering what true music is thru past generations. and REAL SINGERS.
Beautiful!!! Been a fan for 50 years!!! My favorite group!!! 💝💝💝💝 you have too do more of their songs!!!! Glad your liking them… sadly Barry is the only BeeGee alive… 💔💔💔💔
I grew up listening to the Bee Gees, and after both Robin and Maurice had passed away, Barry didn't perform for a while. I saw his first solo performance, and on his first song, he sang How Can You Mend A Broken Heart, and at the part where his brothers would normally sing and join in, he started crying, and tears started flowing from his eyes. He missed a few words, and then started singing again. It was very touching, when the audience started singing the song with him, and singing the parts that his brothers would sing. He must have gotten a 10 minute standing ovation when the song was over.
I'm a 50 year old man who enjoyed hearing their music. Thanks to both your reaction and the nice lady before me sharing her comment. God bless you both!
Yes some of us lived in the Era of real music and true love songs. There will never be another Bee Gees. We need this music so badly. You danced face to face as close as you could with someone that was important to you. We had all the great music. But I'm 72 what do I know.
It may seem corny but this is a gift from heaven. The group, the music and the lyrics all came together in perfect unison at just the right time for the whole world to enjoy forever.

I grew up in my very early years with the Gibbs boys (Bee Gees). They sang as teenagers at my 3rd birthday. We all played together in Queensland, Australia where they were renting one of our family homes next door to us. Loved these boys like brothers.
They were the best and most popular in the world at that time for a reason. They don't make songs like this because there is no more talent available these days.
I was a night club DJ in the 70s and 80s. I was privileged to play all of this great music. I’m glad I found Angela and her great reactions and obviously her great taste in music. It was great hearing you say that love songs like this aren’t written anymore, so true. And on top of that, Angela is just so beautiful.
Miss the days of really good music! Appreciate the DJ who played Poetry Man back in 1974, and a lot of other great music. I chose that one because it was the only Phoebe Snow song I knew. I was offered a free ticket to an outdoor concert and she did a double concert because her warm up/opening band refused to play. I miss the days of real radio!
It's actually difficult to quantify just how good this song really is. I mean, lyrically, it's simply exceptional. If Shakespeare wrote a pop song it would literally sound like this. But what's more incredible is they performed this as a long form video as one take. Like seriously, how is that even possible ❤😂
To those who have never heard of the Bee Gees , its a blessing to be brought up with beautiful songs by and amazing group, and reading how many out there are loving there music.
These three artist are actually brothers. From left ro right, Robin, Barry, and Morris Gibb. I'm 62 and lived this fantastic music when it was released.
Hey kid... that song must go back at least more than 50 yrs ago. Its a classic and there are many more such songs from many groups ..whose members have long passed away. It was a different time and the words in the lyrics ran deep.... enjoy discovering !
One of the most common comments by reactors on UA-cam is "They don't make music like this anymore." It's said so often because it's true. And younger generations don't realize this until they start delving into the songs from these older decades. I grew up in the 60s and 70s, so all of these songs that reactors are just now discovering, were an integral part of my life. I wouldn't trade that for anything. Thank you for your great and genuine reactions, Angela.
@@mattbecham597 Not so. I know many men who do not and would not cheat - it’s called having a moral compass. He was asked once if there had ever been problems in their marriage and said once they had committed to each other neither of them had strayed. She always went on tour with him and when they had kids the kids toured too. Bit like Paul Newman when asked about his long and happy marriage, “why have a burger when you have steak at home”.
@@mattbecham597 Behaviour that’s “normal” in a younger man becomes more and more pathetic as years go by. Aging lotharios are a big turn-off for women, sadly few of them realise.
Maelil MC So true about the aging Lotharios. Jack Nicholson has famously commented on the tragedy of his old age. No woman will have anything to do with him because of his philandering ways. He says he will probably die alone. The riches will not buy love, and he’ll leave that behind, too.
always fun to see a newer generation just in AWWWE...yes, we grew up with it, but even then, we kinda took it for granted. Barry's angelic voice, and of course, Robin and Maurice...all in Harmony. It make's men shaky, and women just ready for about anything.....because it's so beautiful
I love your reaction to the music I've listened to for 60 years. I am 84 years old and still listening to the Bee Gees. I found your channel by accident today and really enjoy you. Keep up the good work. Also, just in case you didn't know. The Bee Gees had number one hits in 5 decades. They also wrote, recorded and produced over 1100 songs. Many hits for others such as Celine Dion, Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton, Dionne Warwick, Dianna Ross and wrote and produced the entire Guilty album with Barbra Streisand.
One take, no cuts, no editing, no autotune, just three brothers, a mic, an awesome band and orchestra and pure and raw talent. This is what back in the day we called 'music'.
" 'They don't make love songs like this anymore and it's sad". young lady , you hit it on the nail. I grew up in the 80's and 90's, the BeeGees were before my time but. mom and dad had them playing in the house ALL THE TIME, along with the Carpenters. BEEGEES are no joke , what a powerhouse group. I grew up in the 70's and 80's. The Bee Jee's were the soundtrack of my youth. You can never go back in time, but you can reminisce and capture a moment of time.
I think the most impressive part of their singing is the way they use vibrato in unison. Incredible! They must have practiced for years to gain that level of being in sync with each other!
One of the greatest love songs ever written by one of the greatest vocal groups ever. Great reaction young lady. And you're right, they don't make them like that anymore.
I have written this many times before on other reactors pages but here it is again. The Bee Gees did not write songs ABOUT women but TO women. This song is a fine example of that. The reactions you made is only a tiny fraction of what they did. They started out in 1955 with there first ever live performance at Garmount Theater in Manchester UK. Barry was 9 and the twins were 6. They moved to Australia in 1958 and what here they came up with the name B.G's later changed to Bee Gees. They had their first number 1 in Australia in 1966 with Spicks And Specks, then moved backed to UK in 1967 and here their second single Massachussetts went number 1. Their first US number one is How Can You Mend A Broken Heart from 1971. Their 22nd and last album was This Is Where I Came In from 2001. Maurice died in 2003 and Robin in 2012. Only Barry is left as Andy died in 1988. Barry has just here in January 2021 released an album with duets with some of the greatest country stars. The songs are all renditions of old Bee Gees songs, some of them well known others has not even been released until that album. That goes for my favorite of the album, Words Of A Fool where he sings with Jason Isbell.
It's so wonderful to see another generation enjoying the music I grew up with. Barry and his brothers were a gift to my generation and now your's. Enjoy!
It's sad see that Barry is the only one left, all 3 of his brothers are passed, I saw a documentary of his and he looked so alone without his brothers.

this song still makes me cry, and I don't know why....it's just their harmony is so strong, and vindictive
Just found this fantastic lady reviewing these fantastic songs. Love your comments ❤
I was priveliged to be a teenager all thru the 70s , the Bee Gees we're a massive part of my teenage years I want to go back and stay forever.
AMEN BROTHER
Love is not only a beautiful thing, it’s the ONLY thing!❤️
Thank you, sir. Exactly. Lionel Richie's "Lady", sung by Kenny Rogers is another song that is TO a woman.
thats exactly the difference between then and now. The Artists stopped wrote to us not about crap
You nailed it it was to a woman
thank you!
I was in Jr High in the Disco Era,and I danced at one our dances to this song,I'm old so it brings back memories
It's so wonderful to see another generation enjoying the music I grew up with. Barry and his brothers were a gift to my generation and now your's. Enjoy!
Look at Maurice's face during this performance : He knows this performance is special. !!!
