As someone who constantly searches for new Morrowind playthroughs to listen to - this channel and your efforts are all I could have ever asked for. Calmly read, new players perspective, just perfect. I've been enjoying your other videos as well. Thank you!!
I love how in the last talk with Caius, he says that "The days of the Empire's are almost over. When the Emperor dies, nine hell's are going to break loose." I like to imagine this is a direct hint at the events of the Oblivion Crisis, all the way back then.
You should look into getting the spells mark and recall since it allows you place a mark anywhere and you can recall to it pretty useful when you have to go back to a quest giver.
you overlooked the best heavy gloves in the game in the shrine area, they are placed BEHIND one of the open chests you were looking into The 'effects' of corpus worsening is an increase in str and end and a decrease in personality and some other stats. After getting the cure, the debuffs get removed but you keep the buffs, allowing you to wait it out to get to extreme levels of strength. In Fyrs Tower, there are 2 artifacts you can grab, 1 being the saviors hide, possible the best light armor in game and has a way stronger effect than in later games.
@@MrBrimbles he already went past that part and there's nothing in the future to ever lead him back there. Maybe the hortator thing. Also he even mentioned some research in the first video. For stuff that is yet to come all i say is that looking closely can pay off big time, there are no random generated artifacts like in oblivion. A different tip for mobility maybe: you can make a spell combining jump and fortify acrobatics to get around faster without instantly dying from fall damage.
There is a dwemer ruin with one of best chest armors in the game (the only dragonbone armor outside of Skyrim as far as I know) that has a note from Peke Utchoo. The Pokemon references are not accidental
Unlike the later games, you can wear both clothing and armor. I almost always enchant an exquisite belt with light(or nighteye) and water breathing as constant effects. The pants I enchant with slowfall and restore fatigue, the shirt with restore health. That greatly helps with the need to constantly rest. Or you could start carrying potions from the guildhalls, that also helps. You can get grand souls for enchanting constant effects from either golden saints or from the ascended sleepers in the Dagoth cult shrines. You can wear a full set of armor with shirt/belt/pants/skirt/robe and with certain gauntlets you can also stack them with gloves. The stacking enchantments on all that gear can get a bit ridiculous. The Mages guild chest also has both forms of intervention spell scrolls. Or you can learn the spells from either a Tribunal temple or one of the Imperial Shrine teachers respectively.
If you want the Silt Strider caravaner to get back up onto the platform (to fix his position), you can do “ra” console command (it stands for “reset actors” and puts all NPCs back into their places). And a small tip about jump height - encumbrance plays a huge role. Percentage of encumbrance to be precise, so if your carry weight is almost full - your jumps are small. If it’s almost empty - jumps are really tall. It affects the height even if using Icarian Flight, or Jump spell.
Had a recommendation for you to make combat a bit easier. If you look in the settings menu, you can find an option to enable "always use best attack." this will make you always use the most damaging attack for whatever weapon your using. Also, remember to fully charge your attacks before letting loose, rapid clicking is much less powerful than fully charged attacks, I only learned this on my second playthrough. Makes melee combat so much more bearable. I look forward to the future of your channel good sir, some of the best storytelling I've seen in a long time!
If you had talked to Uupse Fyr, who was standing near Yagrum, she gives you a minor side quest to find a drum. She uses the drum to calm the corprus creatures and they won't attack you. Might be useful if you go back to raid the chests later. House Telvanni is my favorite faction. You can get a lot of useful gear as a mage if you join them and complete their duties.
Just a little tip. If you get a ring and enchant it with 1 single point of levitation, it's the same exact as if you enchanted it with high points. You can literally levitate everywhere for essentially unlimited time
corpus, despite being labeled as a disease, is actually helpful, if you let it progress it increases your strength but decreases other stats, but when you get it cured you keep the strength buffs but the other debuffs are removed also you missed the best heavy gloves in the game in that shrine area, they were behind one of those open chests you were looking in
omw doesn't fix the corpus bug unless you add that mod, Lynn's True-Faith was it?, to the omw roster and lets you keep the strength buffs. Best use of the buffs is waiting 35 - 61 days to not get THAT op but enough to satisfy loot hording and within challenge mode. base morrowind with corpus is difficult on the waiting time as more days pass, usually 40, the weirder and performance-tasty it will have even on your GOAT pc. Cliff Racers CLIPPING through the mountains to bite my butt!?!
@@ABardsBalladby joining mages guild from the guild chests, each guild hall has a chest with 10 standard magicka potions free for taking. Finding potions otherwise is hard as most traders have only 1 or 2 potions each. I recommend making them yourself.
I vaguely remember a mod that allows you to join the Sixth House, starting with you-know-what happening at Ilunibi. It was over a decade ago when I played it, but basically you accept Dagoth Ur's offer of friendship and take over Vvardenfell with him. Not sure about the mod's quality since I played it so long ago, but the concept is great. Multiple endings are always a plus in RPGs.
That’s really cool actually! Tbh it’s almost surprising with the amount of constant available within the game that they didn’t make that as a choice in vanilla!
Damn that should have been canon. Dagoth Ur was and probably still is less evil than the tribunal. Also his views were right, cast out the corrupt imperial legion. He was and always will be loyal to the Nerevarine, who was betrayed by the other false gods. Wish you could join him in liberation
Did you dispose of the ash slave bodies? Doing that will cause them to respawn, keep the bodies around if you want to stop that from happening. This goes for any respawning enemy

The game has quite a limited stock on restore magicka potions, some merchants sell them but none of the restock them i think. So joining mages guild and getting some out of their supply chests help for a while, but eventually you have to start brewing your own with alchemy. The incridients that have restore magicka effect are: Comberry, Frost salt, Void salt and Daedra hearts.(i think the expansions added more but i cant remember them) Quick explonation on restocking i mentioned there, some merchants have some items they restock, meaning as soon as you close the coverstion with them they have a new stock of that item instantly. For example the Orc at Balmora mage's guild that was part of the 2nd main quest restocks stantard restore health potions.
I appreciate the information on magicka potions and the ingredients needed! That really helps actually! Also appreciate the tidbit about item restocking, I didn’t know about that either!
To think about it, there was such controversial passes in Morrowind, with slave brides, "daughters" of Divite Fyr, getting through the Hlaalu house etc😅 and they were worried about adding children to Skyrim. Oh tempora oh mores

At 11:35 you mention a respawn timer, but this is normally three in-game days. If you reload the zone after disposing of bodies the enemy will have respawned without the timer kicking in, however, so you should only dispose of corpses in the overworld to prevent lagging
Very interesting on the dispose mechanic, I didn’t know that! I didn’t show it, but I’m fairly certain that I rested until healed for more than 3 in game days quite a few times in there 😂
