It was pretty stupid before they updated the game to fix the constant effect enchantments without consuming a grand soul gem glitch. So many enchantments that just so happen to fit in a petty soul while still being constant.

12:35 adding multiple enchant effects in different orders will result in different total costs. I haven't done much extensive testing on this but from what I gather each effect's cost seems to be determined by the school of magic of the preceding effect. It might even be on a per-spell basis rather than school of magic, I haven't bothered testing enough to tell. For example a test I just did shows that applying "restore health 100 pts for 1 sec" followed by "poison 100 pts for 1 sec" has an enchant point cost of 95, while applying the same effects in opposite order results in a cost of 115, so my takeaway in general is that restoration spells should go before destruction spells. It might be worth testing this in-depth if ever you revisit this topic, or maybe there is some documentation on this already but I cba to do my research lol
the spells earlier in the list have a cost multiplier applied, so cheap effects should go first. poison has a base cost of 9, restore health has a base cost of 5.
Hey JBN, your videos have been carrying me through tonight (July 4th) because fireworks stress me out. So I wanted to say thank you for uploading amazing and bingeable content. Keep up the great work!
So, I recommend doing the soul gem selling loop. What you do is buy soul gems from a merchant in tel mythral I believe its on of the telvanni settlements you can take a boat there. Then you cast a conjuration spell with a common soul which ancestral guardian works well for. Then once soul trapped to sell the soul gems to our friend Creeper in the orc house. Rince and repeat the process to get thousands of gold in a very short time.

This is how I played the game, I always like being a trader/skills person in MMO's even if it's an afterthought in the game, so it kind of felt like what an OP craftsman would be to create/use god tier enchants as a source of power.
The boots of blinding speed make me wonder - if you throw negative effects on items does it lower the overall enchamt cost? With 100% magic resist, can you push that to infinity? I have to assume no since that would probably be plastered to the front page on enchanting... Would have been pretty sweet though.
Splendid, I asked and I received, right in time for lunch too, you are easily my favorite morrowind youtuber and are overall really enjoying to watch, thank you.

Isn't there a shop in Seyda Neen where you can get a spell called Jack of All Trades that lets you fortify any attribute? You can get it even cheaper if you return Fargoth's ring.
I’m sure this story isnt true but I remember some green text talking about how OP enchanting was in Morrowind and it ended w the player getting one big hit on the big bad their juiced up mace and the damage was so high it caused the game to crash.
Im my first (my current) morrowind run, i love to get around with the jump spell. I have enchants wit 33/ 75/100 jump (i think) its great, you should try it
Paper enchants VERY WELL in this game. I try to find every scrap of it I can. A custom mod makes the paper not go away when you use it, so it is a work around for making custom rechargeable scrolls.
My headcanon this builds equipment looks like the Daedric equivalent of the stack-hats and safety gear of 80's era skaters to compensate for the speed and going around dungeons like a human pinball
I used an expesive amulet with constant effect Levitate 1 pt. and it worked for me throughout the game (mq, haven't done the expansions yet). It felt like the cheap (60%) flying mount from TBC, pretty cool. I had it hotkeyed, and swapped between that and another amulet with a constant effect of fortify speed, so that I could run when on the ground. For landing, my acrobatics got high enough that I didn't take much fall damage, so I would just hot-swap the amulet mid-air and it would work itself out somehow. Also, constant effect restore health and constant effect restore fatigue (even just a few points) are broken OP.
I _think_ a constant effect enchantment halves the chance of successfully enchanting an item, going by OpenMW's formula, that is. The formula for a CE enchantment is the same as a self-cast enchantment with a 100 second duration. So if a 1 second spell takes up 1 point of enchanting capacity, a CE enchantment of the same strength will cost 100 points. This is assuming I'm understanding UESP correctly.
As an alternative there are some very useful low level enchanted items that make life easier without breaking the game to the point it's trivial. Most of them only cost one charge no matter how low your enchant skill is and that one charge will regenerate before the effect wears off. Because of this you can make them with a Petty Soul Gem filled with a Scrib or even a Rat's soul and using the cheapest enchantable items in the game. -Summon Bound Weapon 19 seconds. Not a lot of fights last longer than 19 seconds in the game to begin with and backing off for a second to recast it isn't that challenging. (If you want something a bit longer and you have 15 Enchant skill Summon Bound weapon for 29 seconds only casts two charge and will also regenerate before the effect wears off). -Soul Trap 12 seconds on target. Even fighting tougher enemies you can just chip them down until they've low on health then cast this and finish them off. -Restore Fatigue 39 point for 1 second. So long as you're just running along and not practicing your Acrobatics by jumping the charge will regenerate before the added fatigue runs out. -Water Walking 12 Seconds. This one you have to time just right but the charge will regenerate just as the effect wears off. -Water Breathing 12 seconds. Since this fully resets you breath gauge after it wears off you don't have to cast it very often. -Levitate 1 to 1 for 12 seconds. You'll be moving at a slow walking speed with this one but if you just need to get over a mountain range in the open world or up to a ledge in a dungeon or around a Telvanni tower this will get the job done. -Telekinesis 10 to 10 feet for 3 Seconds. This lets you trigger trapped doors and chests from a safe distance you can also steal from guarded containers by hiding out of sight around a corner. A step up you can also make Almsivi and Divine Intervention items. You'll need an Expensive Ring (not really that expensive and available from some general traders and most clothiers) and can even do this with a Scrib filled soul gem so long as you have 15 Enchanting skill to lower the cast cost. You'll only get one cast with a Scrib soul but the charge will regenerate with a couple of hours of rest so that shouldn't be a huge deal unless you're moving house;).
I dont know if its been patched but you used to be able to permanently fortify your attributes and skills by creating a spell with fortify skill or attribute for 1 second and cast soul trap for 2 seconds. you would cast it on your feet and it would increase the skill or attribute permanently.
Slowfall is pretty useful too. You can put it on a cheap ring with a cheap soulgem and make it 1 point for 1 second and it will never run out of charge.

Alchemy is equally as insane if not more so. Fantastic video should definitely do an alchemy based one sometime
Dying of laughter at 13:04.
Do you think this was justified?
Who was the instigator?
hehehehe
First time I get to hear Just Background Noise within the first hour of the video releasing.
