A tripod is definitely best but it's possible, using the align feature in Photoshop, to do it handheld as long as you stay very still. But yes, a tripod is always better! Thank you very much
I really enjoyed the video Neil, thank you. It was even better being there in person! The 3 day Shine workshop was fantastic. I learned a ton of new skills and met lots of lovely photographers. It was a top experience. Thanks again.
Thank you so much Chris! That means a lot. It was so great to meet you at the workshop and I am really pleased you enjoyed it. Workshops work when the whole group works together and you were a massive part of that. Thank you 😊
A stunning shot - no doubt about that. Creating this at a real wedding would require rain (obviously), and a couple willing to partake in such creative endeavours. Oh, and I've never though of an AD200 as a speedlight, for me it's a portable strobe.
I do this regularly at real weddings - my couples actually hope they get rain. If you show these shots you will attract couples that want these shots 😊
I saw this picture on a Facebook page earlier this week and I thought, how amazing. I’m based in Cardiff and would absolutely love to attend one of your workshops! When’s the next one? Great video, by the way
I really appreciate this comment as I understand what you mean. I find those who are just starting out are often much more likely to change how they shoot and try what we cover as opposed to those who have been shooting for years. It would be a pleasure to have you attend

Amazing images as ever 😍
making this shot needs a tripod... it is impressive that you were able to maintain the perspective and align it in post. so inspiring, thanks Neil.

Thank you so much! Next workshop will be early next year but I only now release details to members of my Patreon. Thank you again
I probably should Try and attend one of your workshops to 'Unlearn' to 'learn' a few new things within wedding photography.

The group photo at 1:51 how did u equally light everyone?
Great workshop, photos came out amazing. Would love to know how you shot the group photo with everyone in there along with the lighting setup.
Thank you very much! The group shot was actually taken by my very talented friend Dru Dodd 😊 it is a composite of many different images
@@NeilRedfern awesome thank you, great photos.
Can this be achieved without the mag box? A snoot or bare flash? I love your videos thank you🔥🔥
It definitely can be, the light quality will just be slightly different
@@NeilRedfernthank you 👍
Is it possible to use a gel on the light behind the couple, or will that bleed on to the people?
Think Helen's biceps are going to be like Arnold Swarchenger's after all these shoots with you
That's so cool. can you do this with two speed lights
Thank you! Yes you could
Thank you for the video, what type of video recorder do you have on top of your camera?
My pleasure! It is a DJI Osmo Action 😊
2:28. I can't find that video where you put together 2 pictures in order to vanish the flash when it's super close.
Do you have to use a grid?
otimo conteúdo , me tire uma duvida como tirar a assistente da cena ?
Never thought to use full power for this shot, especially at 200WS...
👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
I hope you didnt magmod XL it like everyone else who kept hyping about it.
Strange comment - you can see what I used in the video?
