    • @NeilRedfern
      @NeilRedfern  7 місяців тому +1

      Thank you very much Paul! Yes, I do, but only really so that I can shoot long exposures in bright ambient light. A filter would have helped a little here but I don't tend to bother to be honest as they are quite faffy to use when you want to work fast

    I love the silhouette concept. Is it essential that the photographer 1. Shoot UP, at an extreme angle, or is that simply because shooting that high up means the sun is high in the sky and therefore harsh; 2. Shoot UP because the sun is smaller at that position than at sunset?
    Also, my experience is that unless the subject blocks the sun entirely, unsightly flare creeps into the image; did that happen here, but it was cleaned on the computer?

      Thank you very much David! You will love the A9 :) I also use electronic shutter almost all the time too but when I am working with a model as I am in this video I will usually shoot in mechanical shutter so that they know when I have taken a shot. It is basically to help the model

    Thank you Neil for this video. I have been fortunate not to have had many weddings in harsh sunlight until recently for weddings and has been somewhat of a challenge for myself. I have learnt from my mistakes and adapted what I know going forwards. Can I ask what is the attachement on the camera for your recording camera please? I really would like to vlog and just want to know the kit you have. I have to say as another wedding photographer, I love your content, really have learnt alot from your videos (shame I cannot do your workshops as they always clash with a wedding I have booked in) and I do really appreciate the time and effort you put in towards helping others. You also make myself reflect on my own work, what I need to improve, critique my own work and how I can adapt going forwards for my clients. Again thanks Neil, keep up the content. Oh btw I recently did a wedding near the spots in Manchester Cathedral and Glass art gallery and took your video you did last year as a guide to help for ideas for my clients, so again thank you for that.
