I feel like I'm the female version of You.....OMG you simplify photography like a dream or a lottery winner. Where the heck have you been.....YOU HAVE A STANDING OVATION FROM ME, i am inspired again. OMG where have you been sir, you speak my language and I need to meet you one day very soon. I am very interested in continuing to learn from you.....

Dear Mr Neil. I thank you from bottom of my heart to host such a informative and wonderful program on Photography and off camera flash. After going through you vdos i have become an addict to it. Certainly it has so much in depth information on the relevant subject.
Hello Mr. Neil, your the best photographer, by the way I'm a filipino photographer here in Saudia Arabia, your follower in UA-cam and i learned a lot from all your uploaded videos. That is why i was convinced to buy a magmod products.(happy for discount code🤗👍) My co-worker told me why i should buy a expensive products? I told them it's worth it. 👍 Thank you for sharing your knowledge in taking professional photos. God bless you more 🙏❤️
Like you said, using light modifiers are essential, this video is essential if you want to step your game up while doing OCF. You did an amazing job Niel.
thank you for explaining this so well. I used to pride myself on being a 'natural light' photographer but realized how much more potential there is in learning flash too. :)
Thank you very much. I learn a lot from this video to expose the brightest area. How far do you put the off camera flash from subject (8 feet)? I am watching all of your video again and again now. Thanks again.
@@NeilRedfern you have given me so much inspiration throughout the pandemic and i am looking forward to joining the patreon when business/income is more predictable! 👍
nice tuto. personnally I am fan of tcm button on godox. i try ttl and switch to M with tcm. good start sometimes. When you use flash, do you set zoom to 24mm or 105mm ? A pity you never use lightmeter to better understand relative powers. when you use flash 1meter on rear of couple, and you are at F/4, how do you setup the power of the flash ? would we measure F/5.6 1 stop with a lightmeter on back of couple ???
hi Neil, i'd so love to do your course but you are so far away from me. Any chance you may do a workshop near the Cotswolds? I have a huge network of wedding photographers down here and I guarantee you'd be fully booked. Maybe in the Winter you might consider one? Please..please:)
Excellent helpful video thank you. Can I just ask, in your experience, if a couple are in the dark and your camera is struggling to get focus on them, what would be your way of lighting them up enough to get them in focus? I've tried them holding torches and such till I get a lock on them, but I was wondering if there is a better way. Thanks.
Thank you Darryl, and that's a great question. I must admit that this is rarely ever an issue now that I shoot with Sony because firstly, I rarely shoot in environments which are very very dark, but also because the Sony is so good at low light focusing. However when I was shooting Nikon DSLRs I would have this problem sometimes when I was shooting at night outside and in those situations I would turn on the torch on my phone and give that to the couple. I would then ask them to light themselves so I could focus, then ask them to hide the phone out of shot. That way always worked really well - until one time I left a wedding and thought I had lost my phone ...I had a massive panic until I realised it was still in the groom's pocket!
Just found this video, Neil, and really appreciate the way that you present. I just subscribed. Now, I will appreciate an honest answer about Magmod. I've wanted to try them for years, but I have a pacemaker. Are these magnets so powerful that they would endanger my pacemaker? Thanks for your help!
Thank you so much for the kind words, I really appreciate that. That's a good question, personally I wouldn't have thought it would be a problem but please don't take my word for that - it would definitely be worth checking with a professional first.
Thank you Neil, great video. I also use V860's and I have one AD200. I was just wondering if you have ever used the little goddox filter kit with the grid and the barn doors? It came in the package when I purchased my AD 200 but I have yet to use it.
Hi Luis, I am afraid there are no subtitles as yet in the Patreon. This is something I will add in the future but I am afraid the option of subtitles is not there at the moment
Great video Neil. I'm a wedding photographer looking to learn further off camera Speedlight imagery that you have shown in order to add to my photos. Do you offer advance info and knowledge on your paid training courses (121) Thanks Rob
Thank you very much Robert! I am really pleased you enjoyed the video :-) Yes, I do. I run regular off camera flash workshops (although the next ones won't be until October now) but in the meantime I would highly recommend you consider joining my Patreon (you can join for a month to see what you think) because that way you can join my Facebook group to ask questions, join in on live streams to ask questions rewatch all the past streams (a number of which are with MagMod ambassadors). I hope this helps - please just let me know if you have any other questions

Your transition from 8:17 to 8:18 was super effective for viewers to appreciate what you are able to do through exposure choices and OCF!
