    I am rebuilding a 125 Chinese engine right now. I was about done and the plastic plug that covers the timing mark broke in the case cover. When removing it, the pieces went into the cover. Had to remove it and of course the gasket tore. Now waiting on parts...again!!

      @@PraskaBoysGarage I have a 125cc Chinese pit bike engine that I’m hoping this video will help me figure out which seal is bad. Somehow the tube coming off the crank case breather got plugged so pressure built up and now even though it’s unplugged oil is leaking from the engine case 😬

      Can i get the 125 cc cylinder kit from same supplier ? I got a 125 engine thats locked up and would like to rebuild it and swap it out for my 110 . Any help would be great , and keep up the great vids , i know alot of people put down the china atv but they seem to forget the motors are honda clones and honda has been doing it right for a long time this is why the motors are used in the china buggies as well as atvs , sure the chassy parts can be crap but if you take care of the motors they can last a long time ..

    Hi! Im teaching myself how to work on engines by working on lawnmowers and i recently bought a pit bike to restore which is a big step up. This video is amazing and i love the mix of good acting and delivery of information. My one question is what was the diesel used for?

    • @PraskaBoysGarage
      @PraskaBoysGarage  2 роки тому +3

      Thanks, I'm glad you like the content! Diesel is a good cleaner/degreaser that doesn't have any negative effects on the motor. I works best if your trying to clean sludge out of a motor that's been sitting for awhile. You use diesel because you wouldn't want to fill it up with a degreaser or worse soap and water. Just fill the case up, let it sit for a day, shake the crap out of it, empty and fill with oil. Cleans all the junk out nicely!

      Hey Antonio! Those little Jeep go karts are awesome! We owned one for a few years and loved it! High Idle can be adjusted with your idle screw on the carb. Turn the idle screw counter clockwise and that should lower it. If it does not go down you might have a kink in your throttle cable line.

    At 6:18 you took the side cover you took off to replace gasket. So what's the bolt in the center of the side plate and any idea why mines leaking oil out of there when running? Do I need to tighten it? Or is it like an over flow?

    I think I saw the valve impact mark on the piston when you put it up to the camera.

    • @PraskaBoysGarage
      @PraskaBoysGarage  3 роки тому

      You are correct. Also you can see it on the valve as well. My guess is while that valve was stuck open and I was checking compression it was slapping. Now that the motor is timed properly and the new valves are seated everything is all good! Good catch!

    I’m working on a Tao Tao 110 and was wondering how do you connect the front brake lines to the actual front brake on the bars one has two little spike things sticking out and the other has two female ends but they don’t fit I think I might have ordered it wrong. And for your rear brakes do you replace them or try to fix I’m trying to fix because they r in pretty good shape, but they just not working like there not stopping wondering if u have any tips

      Have you checked the brake fluid and bled any air out of the line?

    • @PraskaBoysGarage
      @PraskaBoysGarage  3 роки тому +1

      In this build I am completely replacing the rear breaks with a complete disk brake kit that's already filled with fluid. However it is cheaper to fix the brakes you have and I agree with Max. Check your fluid, might require the brakes to be bleed again. If you can shoot me an email with pictures of the front brakes. Id be happy to take a look at it.

    Hello! I have a 125cc Tao Tao and it’s idling really high sounds like if I have the full throttle opened. I replaced the throttle cable, carb and the manifold thinking that was the issue because of an ir leak there but it still sounds like I have Throttle opened. Do you think it could be one of the head gaskets?

    I just got this used Chinese 4wheeler and when i turn jt on, let it warm up but when my son pushes the gas it looks like is not getting power and will turn off. Any advice? I was going to drain the gas tank and put non ethanol and some seafom, change the oil and the gas filter.

    Thank you for your great videos.. what carburetor size would you suggest for a atv chinese 125cc. Mine starts losing power on 3rd gear, but fine on 1st and 2nd. It came with a carb 19pz. I'm wondering if that might be the problem. (Not enough air coming in ??)

    • @PraskaBoysGarage
      @PraskaBoysGarage  3 роки тому +1

      Hey you bet, glad you've liked them! The 125cc uses the PZ22, however if you want to get full potential I would recommend buying a VM22 26mm Mikuni knock off for $32 bucks off Amazon. That's what I do because it's way cheaper then a factory Mikuni but still give you a better throttle response and power. amzn.to/3qfbZdu

    I have a 110 cc kazuma, the engine seems very similar. Wondering if you know wether the oilpump and oil pickup tube are accesible from the clutch side? I drained oil, let it sit for too long and now I lost prime on the pump.

      It's been a minutes since I've replaced a oil pump so without it being in front of me I'm not 100% sure, but I am 99% confident it's on the clutch side in front of the crankshaft gear.

    So, my Amazon rebuild kit didn’t come with any instructions and the rings weren’t clearly labeled at all, so I just took a shitty guess and installed the metallic colored one on top and the black one as the second ring. It runs, but it looks like you did it the other way around. Curious.

    • @PraskaBoysGarage
      @PraskaBoysGarage  2 роки тому

      Thanks! Might not be your engine but more likely a fuel or air flow problem. I would make sure your air filter is clean, fuels lines and filter are clean, and that you have good fuel flow to the carb.
