And for your rear brakes do you replace them or try to fix I’m trying to fix because they r in pretty good shape, but they just not working like there not stopping wondering if u have any tips
In this build I am completely replacing the rear breaks with a complete disk brake kit that's already filled with fluid. However it is cheaper to fix the brakes you have and I agree with Max. Check your fluid, might require the brakes to be bleed again. If you can shoot me an email with pictures of the front brakes. Id be happy to take a look at it.
God bless bro! There is not alot of videos and manuals on these engines. I attempted to open one up and figure out why it would pop out of gear. A r-n-d 125cc which I believe is very similar? Well the engines were cheaper back in 2015 so after a month of the engine just in parts on my work bench, I opted to buy a new engine instead since the rebuild kit/ gaskets were half the price of the new engine. I went to a 3 speed semiautomatic with reverse. Now years later I have 6 atvs. For the family to ride around our property. On the 3 speed, I have 2 atvs that will pop out of 2nd gear randomly. Do you have a clue what this might be? Any info would be greatly appreciated..

Thanks for the great video I have gained quite a knowledge in order to rebuild a atv for my kids I’m stuck at starting the unit it seems to take a while to start haven’t done a compression test yet I will get a new plug and perform a comp test. I just discovered one of the exhaust manifold bolts broken would that cause a compression issue to turn it over It’s a 110 cc Tao Tao engine any info would be helpful. Thanks
Hey i’m replacing the same side of my crank case at 6:57. What torque did you use when tightening the bolts? And was that red paste silicon? Thank you!!
I picked up a Tao Tao kids quad with the 110cc engine. It was not running, the guy I bought it from changed the wiring harness. But now I'm not sure if it was supposed to be 2 pole or 6 pole stator. Is there a marking or something on the flywheel showing if the stator should be 2 or 6 to match it?
I bought a new wiring harness and did everything you did and the starter is working but I’m not getting any spark. Do you know what the problem could be?
hey just curious the engine stator cover cap is missing and you werent to worried about apraying paint into it. i have the same four wheeler it is missing that same cap an i havent let the kid ride because i was worried it would break the stator if anything got in there. is this just a part you ont really need
Did you hone the cylinder? and is there a specific way the rings should fit on the piston? Does it matter? I followed this video while doing mine and for some reason my compression afterwards is like 50, it was 40 =/. Put new piston, and rings in the old cylinder, cleaned and reused the head, pulled it apart cleaned and re lapped values, set clearances to .005 and .007, timing on TDC and in line with the notch. Honestly im wondering if my compression checker is bad even its brand new... the bike feels way better than it did before the rebuild and stays running and idles great, it does smoke a bit when i first start it up however and it kinda smells like oil which is why i think the piston may have been done incorrectly. Thanks for sharing this awesome content. Was very helpful
To be honest most of the time I talk to people about this issue after they rebuild is a bad compression tester from harbor freight! Try looking up the ring order for a good picture but here is what you put in starting top to bottom: Compression Ring, Wiper Ring (this ring will have an angled edge that needs to be facing towards the bottom end), oil rings.
I just got this used Chinese 4wheeler and when i turn jt on, let it warm up but when my son pushes the gas it looks like is not getting power and will turn off. Any advice? I was going to drain the gas tank and put non ethanol and some seafom, change the oil and the gas filter.

Can you put a 90 or 110 cylinder & piston on a 50cc engine? Is everything the same between these 50, 70, 90 and 110's besides the cylinder/piston bore size?
Hi, is it possible to stand these engines up, sprocket at the bottom, head pointing up, If the carb was also rotated so it stayed in its original flat position? Would it still run
Hello! I have a 125cc Tao Tao and it’s idling really high sounds like if I have the full throttle opened. I replaced the throttle cable, carb and the manifold thinking that was the issue because of an ir leak there but it still sounds like I have Throttle opened. Do you think it could be one of the head gaskets?
Thanks! I actually had a CNC company laser cut out all the metal to start making and selling my own. I will be selling the kits on my website either as a DIY kit or a completely assembled and power coated. I will post updates on the channel when they are ready!
Would you please share more of your wisdom...I went with Valvoline 10W-40 Full Synthetic. Got it running Tao Tao 125 cc Jeep go kart Automatic with reverse now experiencing high idle in neutral and I would say regular idle in gear. All parts are new. My. prayers 🙏 are keeping my sanity.🇨🇱🇨🇱😃 THANK YOU.
Hey Antonio! Those little Jeep go karts are awesome! We owned one for a few years and loved it! High Idle can be adjusted with your idle screw on the carb. Turn the idle screw counter clockwise and that should lower it. If it does not go down you might have a kink in your throttle cable line.
I recently got a atv with a motor just like this one but it didn’t start or run. I’ve determined that there is no compression but it actually sucks my finger into where the spark plug goes. What would you think is happening here with suction not compression???
Suction is apart of it. Just like if you put your hand over the carb like a choke. It's pulling the fuel into the chamber. You should perform a leak down test to see exactly where you are leaking from.
When you test for spark, did u see a lot of spark or just alittle white spark? I rebuilt the top end tried to start it. Did a spark test and got alittle white spark. Kinda seemed weak.
Seemed to be what I would consider normal. It's not as strong as a 212cc predator motor but the plug is half the size. I'd say if you throw some fuel at it and it runs then leave well enough alone!
Does all the Chinese engines like the one you just rebuilt take the same size oil seals for the crank seal behind the stator I have one on my son's go-kart and it's dripping oil when he's riding it coming out of the cover where the stator is I assume it's the oil seal on the crank behind the stator but I'm not positive I haven't tore it apart yet
hey man i know this is an old video but was wondering if you could point me in the direction of some new head studs for my 125cc Chinese quad? i found on vmc but not sure if they are correct
A little diagnostic tip that I noticed is at 4:06 in the video on the end of the clutch, you can see the radial streaking in the oil on the face of that plate, indicating it was run with that worn out oil, and it didn't just sit there and darken.
You are correct. Also you can see it on the valve as well. My guess is while that valve was stuck open and I was checking compression it was slapping. Now that the motor is timed properly and the new valves are seated everything is all good! Good catch!
At 6:18 you took the side cover you took off to replace gasket. So what's the bolt in the center of the side plate and any idea why mines leaking oil out of there when running? Do I need to tighten it? Or is it like an over flow?
My engine stand is probably the most popular tool I have. I got it off eBay back in 2018, but the seller is hit and miss when he lists them. I am currently working with a guy who owns a CNC machine to start making them myself!
Do these come with the valves adjusted already or no, if no could that be considered a vacuum leak which may explain high idle. What video would be best. Thank you.
I recommend checking the valves as routine maintained but it's not likely that's your issue. High idle is probably a Fuel or Air flow issue. Did you try adjusting the idle screw?
i dont know if youll see this comment 4 years later, but i have a 110cc motor, i think the same, but i life in europe. so do you know any shop that sells to europe those parts? i love your videos!

I know this is a old video.i have a 125cc fully automatic atv with DNR what kind of clutch do i have is it adjustable
I think I saw the valve impact mark on the piston when you put it up to the camera.
You are correct. Also you can see it on the valve as well. My guess is while that valve was stuck open and I was checking compression it was slapping. Now that the motor is timed properly and the new valves are seated everything is all good! Good catch!
Your work, we add, keep it up
At 6:18 you took the side cover you took off to replace gasket. So what's the bolt in the center of the side plate and any idea why mines leaking oil out of there when running? Do I need to tighten it? Or is it like an over flow?
I need one of those engine stands!
My engine stand is probably the most popular tool I have. I got it off eBay back in 2018, but the seller is hit and miss when he lists them. I am currently working with a guy who owns a CNC machine to start making them myself!
Were do i get the wire harness......
@@PraskaBoysGarage I'll be doing that here in a bit. Thank you.
Can you please show us how to put on gaskets and the carburetor?
man that was so cool have one and it can be done thank you so much

I need the crank case I believe for the engine. Where can I get one?
