What is the real 0-60 without the roll out
@@aaronr1926 1.88 without the drag radials and 1.61 with drag radials
One thing i would say is about the pricing kuniskis said in a separate interview that those who buy it at msrp will get priority follow by thoseget closests to msrp price and last but not least for dealer stocks get absolutely last and 3000 is the max they would build meaning customers get priority not so much the dealers
I'm not impressed. Tim Kuniskis said it was hard to make a 1025hp from factory that was reliable. Well I got news for you Tim the company LME has been doing that with the gen3 hemi for years. You can run 1200whp and daily it with one of their motors. The upgraded drive train is nice. Id love to have one so I could race it. It's priced at $96,666.00 now Tim did make it known that anyone who pays more than MSRP for this car that car won't be built as soon as those who pay MSRP.
@@americanassassin001 He was talking about Car manufacturers due to all the regulations. Plus reliability so the motor has to make it through a torcher test held at a certain rpm for a certain amount of time. To prove it's reliable and can be a every day 1000hp car.
i like the fact that original demon owners can get a vin match. although it would've been pretty cool if they released a final viper.
They did lol the acr
Yah Dodge is offering the original Demon owners a solid deal. This is a collectors wet dream.
Vipers are going to be priced like the old CSX Cobras in a few years. The early basic ones have rocketed. A few years ago you could get a nice example of one of those for $40k. Not anymore.
The demon 170 is only 110k
@@alexproctor524 yea in 2017
I already call 10 dealers 80-100k over sticker . Bullish
yah these things are going to be very expensive because some knucklehead will pay for it
Yep its bs
I seen 50k but still …
Well, you can get a used Demon. I think you can get one for somewhere in the $150k-$180k range. They stickered originally for what, $75-$85k?
Damn wtf
Anyway The 170 Demon is one of the most epic Swan Songs for a Vehicle ever and the Hemi engine too. I'm definitely getting a Hellcat Challenger sometime this year or next year, I don't care how old it is, I love Dodge ever since the 90s Viper show the NightRider copycat.
Can't go wrong with a hellcat. You're going to love it. Dodge did a great job the last 15+ years
@Rift33SRT man I will be glad to own a Hellcat and eventually convert into a Demon later on, Hellcats over here in South Florida is like buying a 5th gen Dodge Viper they cost too much compare other states like Georgia and Texas like always in which they have Very Good quality looking homes and Cars for cheap, Florida is the opposite unfortunately.
@@RTLife oh I here ya, but I can't wait to get mines and the paint job is gonna be crazy. I'm thanking about painting gloss Blood Candy Red and implementing chrome dual racing stripes.
6.1 will still be the most valuable Mopar in 30 years out all of them. 🎉🎉😅
6.1 Hemi is a legend - started all this HP madness. It's getting harder to find one is good shape though
Good sarcasm, it’s funny that some owners actually think like that, they’re bragging at Cars and Coffee, “you know they only made 6400 one day this will be worth millions” then you look at Bring A Trailer and they never meet their reserve price lol Earlier this year a guy was trying to sell his Srt8 1st edition with only 579 miles basically brand new and he couldn’t even get $32k for it, bidding stopped at 31k and the owner must’ve been so mad I bet he’s putting that car in storage for 30 years expecting his payday when he’s one foot in the grave already 😂
Well get a tracker as time goes on ladies because these cars are getting scarce and it's getting dangerous, Mine was stolen twice.
Im good its really not hard to make that power reliably on a stock hellcat
It would have been nice if we could actually see it run an 8.9. The winds were high as hell that day so I give them a pass of only advertising its “certified” time. I actually like that half wide body I wonder what it would look like on a Charger🤔
I knew they weren't going to show a time. Bet it was a low 9 (9.3 or 9.4). You need perfect conditions for that 8.9 - like the regular Demons 9.65
David Freiburger of Roadkill was in the tower (called the races for that day) saw on his Instagram it ran like a 9.26 at 145? Just looked and can't find it now, might of had to recant that per dodge?
There are so many variables that effect time. Las Vegas Speedway is at 1980 feet. Altitude effects it. Wind and temp and throw in the who's the driver? Notice they were making sure that track was well prepped! They weren't going to be embarrassed!
I would expect some people might break the 8.9's in it. Others will be slower than molasses in it! Pooping their pants down the quarter mile!
It’s a tall order to demand a specific time of any car on demand aside from a dedicated bracket racer with a delay box.
I felt like the Demon was going to make a comeback
You're feeling was on point. They did a great job with this thing
I could never afford a demon let alone a hellcat with these markups at the dealers. I purchased what I could afford a scat pack challenger (narrowbody) and I’m happy with it
Same page as you. I have a Challenger 392 & Charger R/T - I'm very very happy. Getting into these Hellcats/demons/redeyes are silly expensive.
@@RTLife exactly bro the prices are getting ridiculous for the cats
I'm with you! I got a Scat pack challenger T/A narrowbody. And it's never going away. I only clicked on this because I saw it in the same color as mine, (Gold Rush) and I was hoping that they weren't bringing that color back because that would make the gold ones really rare.
It does look very cool. Plus, I'm pretty sure that I might see one of these at my local Bermen's Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, RAM and on the streets of Oak Lawn soon.
I want to check it out in person. Once I find out a dealer that has one I'm going haha
I thought it was only for prior Demon owners
They get 1st crack so they can have matching vins to their 2018
Supposedly the dealer I get my maintenance done at is supposed to get at least one possibly two.
The viper is forgotten. I’ll never understand. This Lego block car, so many produced, so many trim levels, no changes since 2006 - I see 7 of them just checking the mail. The viper is exotic now, was always aesthetically in a class of its own.
@Nunya Beezwax helll yeah brotherr
😂
@Nunya Beezwax right on man, congrats. Not trying to knock you for owning one. Just not my preference. I helped my brother get a 2018 RT and drove it home from Kentucky. Interior was nice, sounded good, just not my thing looks wise.
I drove a Plymouth for Chrysler at 6:98 and 200. O6 mph but it did have more power and wouldn’t be reliable to drive to the office. 170 is exciting and at my age I’d still like to drive one. Good video, thanks.
There is an interview where Tim said the markup cars will be built last and the one's that are msrp will be built first.
Makes sense. We're going to see many mark ups though - this is going to sell fast.
@@RTLife that’s assuming ppl decide to buy them at the dealerships at all tho. There might be a chance that most of the DC170s will be ordered, keeping them at MSRP
You know, you called it. I wasn’t that surprised consequently. The reveal was a bit lackluster. They did make a badass demon 170 Challenger though, so that’s cool. Bye bye hemi!
Not really a fan of the entrance - that said Dodge did a great job on this one. End of a great era
Hopefully the price will start coming down on a 2018 Demon
I looked on Cars.com & those Demon prices are crazy!
Won’t happen. They’ll still command a premium. They were the first.
I think the track prep guy outshined the 170 😂😂
Unobtainable for most of us. So for the regular customer all we are getting in the end is a bunch of stickers… Dodge going out in a bang 💲💲💲 while Ford is laughing and moving on with Mustang v8 production 🤷♂️🤷♂️
I think we will see some of this technology trickle down or made available to use through direct connection. I'm def never going to be able to afford any of these types of rides - but it's great for the brand & marketing.
I kinda like the half widebody.
and I'm not a WB fan. Lol
Same here. Has that beefy muscle car stance
Dudes selling flex fuel like its a new concept lol
hahaha - solid comment
Yep, you called it.
Dodge should have came up with a different name .
Thanks man - def appreciate it
I agree RT! Your analysis was spot on about car #7! Great job!!! 😁👍🏼 With that said, Dodge is officially dead! Now, on to the EV's! 😖🤮
They will be back in 4-5 years when their sales have completely tanked
EV junk
@@RTLifeI work in a dealership as a certified automotive technician and electric cars are nothing but problems no one in the dealership where I work even likes them
Best factory production car yet ever released by Dodge, The DEMON170 🏁😈🇺🇲
Love it! Total different engine Internals, suspension , wheels, fuel system, etc than the Demon.
Grand Slam DODGE!
LOOKS like a badazz Drag car!
They really did a great job! Hopefully some of these technology makes its way down stream for us to use as upgrades. Dodge nailed this one
Thanx for ALL YOUR content. Also love the way your wife’s Jeep sounds 👍🏽
Her Jeep is awesome - I love driving that thing! Thanks man
Not gonna lie, I wanted a new name. But the logic of same name makes sense when you explain it. Well done.
I never thought they would bring back the Demon name. The more I thought about it, the more it made sense for them.
You are doing awesome 👏 sir. Your channel has gone a long way. I wish I could be a father too.
Thanks man, def appreciate it. Trying my best to get a good balance in life
They should've named it the angel are arc angel would've been bad ass
Wrong color car for the debut - underwhelming at best. I don't like the look without the front fender flares, and I don't like the look of the big side walls on the tires. I know they are drag tires, but I much prefer the look of the Super Stock. I don't like the Demon 170 name either. I LOVE the performance, but as a '21 HCREWB owner, it did not make me want to sell my car and get the Demon170. Years ago, I had a Mercedes SL500 that I loved right up to the day a SL55 flew past me. I bought an SL55 within a month after that - I HAD to have that car. I don't feel anything like that with this Demon170. I have always said that the only car I would sell my HC for is a Demon, but not this Demon. I will wait to see what their next generation of IC cars will look like and go from there; and yes, I believe there will be a next generation. Dodge lies constantly (2023 Durango HC anyone?) and they are saying it's the end of this "era", and that doesn't sound like it's the end of performance -focused IC engines.
Bet they have another performance V8 in 4-5 years. No way they will survive on EV's & inline 6's
How about if they come out with the 2025 dodge stealth. 800hp i6 awd 3200lbs. Lol
In another 5 years, 2028 they will have a dodge challenger demon hybrid with 12-1500 combined hp capable of high 7’s or really low 8’s in the quarter.
Dodge and their lies, we promise the demon (2018) is one of a kind you will never see anything like it ever again, we promise.
I’m still waiting for a dodge journey srt8 hellcat redeye Daytona wide body
I love it too bad I can't afford it
right there with you. Still good for the brand & maybe we can use some of the technology/parts on direct connection it uses.
@@RTLife that I did love that u can order the 170 part and put on ur current car
@rift33SRT no but I like u can get the same parts
@rift33SRT with this new 170 u can have warranty I have a charger hope those parts will fit
@rift33SRT the blower and what ever else help me gain 600 hp I have a 2020 Rt
Cool car, and performance. But this beast is its own thing, not a Demon. Dodge only messed up in the name, honestly. Should have added to the Hell-Family.
Maybe Hellcat Goldeye or something. That said, you're right - Dodge did a great job with this last model. I tip my cap to them on this one.
West Herr in NY is selling at MSRP there company policy does not allow them to sell over MSRP
I kinda dig the widebody rear and the regular fenders
Gives it a more muscle car look - at least in my opinion
@@RTLife I'm more of a fan of the narrow body challengers and chargers. Loses the muscle look like you said, kinda like they were trying to be exotic. I know why they did it, but they just look cheap and tacked on the way Dodge implemented them
gives it hips, like the ol cars had for that Grip.
@jacobwebb8818 I completely agree, well said.
Gotta love Dodge for going out with a bang, nothing but respect!
I’m not a fan of the mismatch narrow and widebody look, but the performance is undeniable. It’s unfortunate dealers will provide a free enema with every purchase.
I like the fact the Demons sold at sticker would be built first and over sticker and dealer stock last
I think you missed the press show. They come specd with a carbon fiber rear seat delete and a roll cage. The titanium carbon wheels I believe are an option, but it looks like they will all be in the 8s.
Awesome bro. Yeah you were right on the money on that. I love they way it looks with the half wide body. It looks more aggressive and she means Business. I'm gonna try and get one 😊
I hope you land one - looks like a monster! Thank you for the support
Your information was pretty spot on the whole way…… Thanks for keeping us updated. I am disappointed with the name though personally but Dodge is definitely going to make money on it … also the fender flares they probably should’ve just did it all the way around or not at all👍
So many people said I was talking nonsense. I had to include that part as a "hahha" - thanks you
Lol. Demon owners brag a lot but 90% don't even drive them.
RT you did and are doing a great job on your Chanel. Keep up th great videos
You are the man. Thank you very much - def appreciate it. Hope all is good on your end buddy
Great video
Keep up the hard work
Thank you, def appreciate the support
I don't think they actually screwed over anyone. Look back to the original horsepower war there's a Charger a Charger 500 and a Charger Daytona. Also when you add in the fact that they said that you can get your original car's VIN on the new car... I of course don't know the full story about what that would do to the original car's VIN, but this is the modern Challenger equivalent to owning a Charger Daytona and getting first crack at a better Charger Daytona.
I think many of these Demon owners are going to take Tim K up on this offer. Having a matching set is a collectors wet dream.
@@RTLife honestly if I owned a Demon I would have to get a 170. Also after watching I better understand the VIN thing
I like the half wide body that will def stick out dodge went out with a bang!
Drag times has said that dealers are asking anywhere between 50-200k over sticker. Imagine paying 300k for a fucking challenger smh.
Good car, ordered however will not pay over MSRP. Dealerships that keep pulling that are eventually gonna be like Tesla. No sales people order online and build as go. Think Dodge needs to do that soon or will lose audience especially if going to go all electric in near future. V8 should live on and all there fleet of vehicles should be flex fuel. Lower carbon footprint, more efficient and pass emissions no problem. My 1400 hp Hellcat passes emissions and used as a daily driver.
No way anyone is getting this Demon 170 for MSRP unless they have a Demon already or have a hook up! These dealers are going to crush people. Hang onto that beast. 1400hp is no joke esp if tuned & built right.
Great video brother, you nailed it.
Thanks man - I think they did a great job with this last model!
I’m happy with my Hellcat 2016 , I’ll probably buy a 6.2 RedEye engine for it just in case something happens down the road , because when it blows might not be able to rebuild it
solid move. I'm sure you can get a low miles redeye engine for a decent price
IF A DEALER ASK FOR A EXTRA 6 FIGURES YOU WALKED OUT I WAS SAYING EARLIER....THIS CAR IS NOT A LAMBO OR FERRARI....ITS THE ENGINE, CAUSE THE CAR IS THE SAME AS OTHER DEMONS....AND NOW YOU CAN BUY THE ENGINE AS ANOTHER OPTION.
I'm OK with calling it Demon
170. If it runs 8.9, I like to see it run against Dart/Cuda super stock.
watch the vid on utube ....it did 9.2 ....fail lmao
All I need is the harness and engine I can put this engine in any car and it's a beast try to get the engine and u good
Doesn’t sound like there is a dealer that’s going to sale MSRP
No they're going to mark these up a lot! Fastest V8 ever produced - no way they're selling them for $97k
They’re doing what Buick did in 1987. Those turned up to 20psi was in the 11s out of a turbo 3.8 v6
I personally think the specs are phenomenal. Other than that I just feel so in different because I think the Demon 170 name is kinda lazy. Not the biggest fan of the half widebody but I know why they did it. I’m just over the current body style. I checked out of them a few years back.
I think many people are ready to see a redesign. Something to spice it up a little - the performance of this last model is amazing though.
I have a 2018 and have a 2023 available to me but the markup is $125,000 OVER sticker, basically taking any future appreciation out of the car. Robbery. I'll stick with my 18.
I agree, the name is dumb. The ghoul name would have been better. They could have gone the good vs evil route (fitting for our times) and called it the Halo edition or something similar. Theologically, an angel can defeat a demon.
They should have called it the ‘Screamin’ Demon’
Even though Dodge are going electric, I hope the Dodge Charger Banshee final design doesn't look like the final design. Just change the hideous back and bring back led separated tail lights and remove the unnecessary R-wing. But if the car turns into a sedan for the final product that will definitely make room for a 4TH GEN Challenger.
They're going to make that Charger into a sedan & introduce a Challenger EV soon.
100k over in vegas it’s just a joke at this point I wanted a matching build to my demon but that’s just stupid to pay 2x the car
They should've went out witha bang all around. All their makes and models with the top dog being the Hellaphant.
I like the rear wide body only. I like it a lot!!
gives it a nice stance right? Very muscle car looking
@@RTLife ever since the wide body came out the front fenders looked too bulky….more like 4x4 pickup fender flares but those rear fenders are 🔥. I own a 2019 charger scat pack and I’ve always wanted to just add the rear wide body because the stance and narrow front fenders are on point. The rear quarter panels to the wheel well have always been a disappointment. I will be calling vicrez for rear fender and bumper options.
96k plus gas price
I am a fan of the car, and it will run the time just like the old did.it just took time for drivers to get there.
100% agreed. This thing is a badass ride
Nobody talking about the upgrades? Like the differential and axles. The weak link on the regular hellcats. Will they be available to put on our cars?
People who slam this car because it's not flashy either have forgotten what Dodge is about don't know the history. When it comes to extreme performance models Dodge has always gone the all business route in the looks department. With those models they have always put the goodies into the drivetrain where it really counts!! That was the case with the Demon, as well as their extreme performance models during the 60's. Some seem to be big mad at Dodge for being true to their heritage. Although for those who want cosmic flair Dodge has them covered with the lower models. The Demon 170 wasn't built so the owner can look good on date night, or to look good on a music video. It's meant to handle business. The Domon 170 wasn't supposed to be for everyone's tastes. Only for the hardcore Mopar enthusiast. Personally I myself really like it! There no denying that this car is badass!!
Do they really come with parachutes. 🤔🤔🤔🤔
its an option
My hypothesis on why it wasn't named something different or looked very different is because there trying to cut down on costs and production time. Since dodge annoced the end of the V8s I'd imagine stellantis has been on there azz to clean things up quick so there just making due with the parts left in the factory
I would love to own one of these, but I just can’t afford it, but one of my friends scored one he had to go all the way down to Louisiana to order it but he got it and now he just has to wait for it to come in I don’t know if they’re gonna deliver it down there or up here but it was about $125,000 and there was no markup. That was the base price for whatever options it had. I don’t know.
Every one should be impressed! There is nothing like this from any car manufacturer other than Dodge. Having said that the future is bleak at best
I think many are sour because of Dodges future - that said, this thing is amazing. Dodge really did a great job building this.
I like it. I like it! I like the name too. Great name. They kept their promise. They are giving the Demon owners the first choice. Why should Dodge go out with 840hp their max. 4 or 5 years ago 840hp would have been fine for an exit. But not now.
I love this car but can the whole rims and tyres be replace with that of 2018 demon and i would prefer full widebody
They are definitely going to get marked up, probably over double. Can't trust a stealership. The only way they will run a 8.9 is the same way I am going to run a 9.99. You have to have the perfect situation of air and track prep to make it happen. The reason the didn't show the time at Las Vegas is the air there is terrible. If I were a betting man, I'd say it ran around a 9.3-9.4 at 147ish. Anyway. It's going to be way out of reach for the average Joe and probably most of the current Demon owners are going to suck up most of them, leaving even less for non-demon owners. Love the car but it's just going to be way out of price range and just sheer numbers for an average person to get one.
100% agree with you. There are people already coming forward saying the dealership wants 50+k on top of the sticker! yah that was my guess - probably ran a 9.3 range
It definitely won’t fail my dealership is blowing up with calls about people wanting to trade this or that for it
I KNOW OF 2 GUYS FROM SOCIAL MEDIA WHO GOT THEIR DODGE 170 FOR MRSP OF $96,666.....(THE UA-camR RACER X AND THE SOLDIER WHO GOT HIS DEMON SOLD FROM UNDER HIS NOSE) SO IT CAN BE DONE....YOU CONTROL THE NARRATIVE WHEN YOU WALK IN THAT DEALERSHIP, YOU DONT PAY 6 FIGURES OVER STICK....THATS JUST GREED.
The fail is in the greed of these A-hole dealers
I'd buy but not with markups it's unethical number 1 and guess my next new vehicle will be gm or Ford. Not playing the games
I hear many dealers are trying to mark it up $80k - that's silly!
I don’t think it was a fail. It’s a epic car
half widebody looks fine....
Has a very muscle car stance - I like it
It’s a bad azz power plant 👍🏽
100% agreed! They did a great job piecing this together
Not to be negative but come on! We waited for a very small refreshed demon? Really? Absolutely nothing for the average buyer! No scat pack or hellcat refreshed car? Basically slight cosmetics and more horsepower with the same look? Failure for me all the way
I love that it’s a TRUE WIDEBODY
Looks like a beast!
Half wide body 🤣
I really do not want to see scat pack and hellcat owners copy the look of the Demon 170..
It always happens. I've read a few people that already have this look on their ride.
@@RTLife well, I guess it's inevitable. Granted, it's a great look. Personally, I really like the partial satin hood
They ditched the wide body front end because the narrow body front end is aerodynamically superior to the wide body. Also you're dead on with them naming it a Demon again. They kept their promise.
Imagine the guy who gets vin number 170
#1 & #170 are probably going to be worth the most.
@@RTLife can't forget about the very last one but most definitely
It’s cool but doesn’t really excite because msrp is out of my range and I know dealers will be stupid with mark ups.
There are reports of $225K over MSRP already.
THAT'S INSANE!!! I've heard some people have already contacted dealers & the mark ups are crazy.
I am saddened to see the HEMI engine that has lived from the early 50’s. I wish that they would continue through years to come.
agreed. Not going to be the same in 2024+
Dodge owner said. Dealers selling at msrp will be getting them first. So that mark up you seen will not hold strong
Dodge delivers on something vast majority of us can't afford and the dealerships gonna mark them up even further out of reach!! Fk dodge sorry bruh
I def understand. Theres no chance of me owning one, but it's still cool as hell for marketing & branding. Hopefully we see some of this technology/parts in direct connection so our rides can be upgraded the old fashion way.
@R/T Life I don't hate the car the car is fine, it's dodge and stellantis as a company that I can't stand.
Yep slight refreshed demon. Lol nothing special
WTH, not a fail at all!! The price is $96,666, priced that way for a reason "666". Dodge has a plan to prevent markups, customer cars will be built first, then dealer orders. Parachute is not factory but can be ordered through Mopar.
I haven’t watched you in awhile. Life has been crazy. It looks like you moved? Doesn’t look like you’re still on the island? Were did you go? You don’t seem like the type to leave the island.
I didn't want to leave but had to leave LI. Ended up in FL a little over a year ago now.
@@RTLife Good for you man! I moved from NY to Florida 20 years ago. I miss the food and some friends/family but can go visit plus everyone comes down every year or every other year. Now you really get to enjoy your car all year. So in the last year Racerx and RT life move to Florida.
Dodge said nothing would be made as fast as the demon from the dodge company, Not a dodge person, but this is cool if you can afford it, plus if you have the original and the 170 with matching vin numbers you just might have 2 cars worth a million.
I think they should have restyled and opened up the front end more and called it the Dodge devil or Lucifer
They're restyling for the 2024 year. This is the last of the current line up we all know
the OG Demon guys got nothing to worry about here. Give me the original Demon,.. ALL DAY LONG!!
It’s false advertising. They never showed the 8.9 when it passed the clock, and another clip showed the time prior to the burnout.
I think everyone knew they weren't going to run an 8.9 at that track. Bet it was around 9.2/9.3 - 8.9 is under ideal conditions
The obnoxious price that is being milked from the factory they make the cars for way way cheaper than that
Your right it just isn't for anyone. 200k + it's not for 90% .
100k over msrp in Texas
Fastest production Car in the world 🔥
For the name, most people don’t realize of what dodge was trying to do. They’re weren’t gonna bring a new name to the dodge family and start slapping mythical creature names on every new car. They wanted to recognize the past generations and legendary cars such as the black ghost and king Daytona. I can see the upset with the original dodge owners but I have yet to see an og demon owner get upset about this new demon reveal. What I do wish is that they did something for the charger as well. The challenger gets the most hype for they’re only sports car but the charger is just the same as the challenger. A demon variant for the charger would’ve been nice with that same horsepower
I would've like to see a Charger Demon reveal - that would've been wild! They had so much success with the Challenger Demon that they probably thought it was a no brainer to repeat it.
Can you just imagine how many will be destroyed by crashing underexperienced with the power and respons times kinda like mustang and other hellcat owners
They still should have gone with a twin turbo 426.
That would've been wild!
💯💯
Should of been named the hellephant. And made it a charger. Or made the last cars be a charger 2 door and name it different. But left the demon nameplate alone.
Hellcat Gold Eye - the logo has a golden eye. I think they just wanted to make sure only a Demon could beat a Demon though.
