Actually. I was curious so I went onto the genshin interactive map and there is legitimately nothing aside from three chests. So disappointed, especially considering just how big of an area they gave us.
Worth noting that there used to be a bunch of stuff in that body of water that is now submerged (according to Lynette). You would typically not set up shop in an area that was steadily getting flooded. Perhaps that was the thought process, seeing as it's unprecedented for land to be empty like this.
I just want that damn sliver of unidentified area in between Stormterror's Lair and Qingce Village to be explorable. It's been driving me crazy since 1.0! (┛◉Д◉)┛彡┻━┻
1:35 the sea between Lumidouce port and Yilong wharf is of a significantly higher elevation than the sea surrounding Mondstadt. This should be obvious considering that you can follow three sets of big waterfalls cascading down Chenyu Vale to Dihua Marsh. Dornman Port would not be accessible to Lumidouce Harbour.
Interesting note, this implies that Dornman is at sea level (for Beidou's ship to reach), and not at Lumidouce harbor's elevated level. This would mean it either isn't on the Western border of any new Mondstadt extension or it's at the waterfall transition similar to Yilong or the Fontaine harbors.
When Caravan Ribat was released in Version 3.0 noting much was done there until the Archon quests and desert expansion in Version 3.1. I expect something similar in the future for Bayda Harbor. Perhaps the empty space to the west may see an "archon quest" expansion there.
What an awesome and informative video. Love the idea that a mondstadt expansion would include the site where the inverted statue of the seven was stolen from. I have one slight disagreement at 9:30; I feel like what will connect us to Natlan will be the Mare Jivari, as it's referenced to be on the opposite end of sumeru's desert. I think crossing this lake of fire will lead us into Natlan and also be a good explanation as to why we've never met a Natlan NPC (they have to cross it). May also be an opportune time to have Venti's second story quest, but who knows!
Mondstadt as it stands now needs more than just an expansion; it needs to be completely refurbished. It was very clearly the first continent developed for the game and many parts were left unfinished in so many places (the area around Stormterror's Lair being the most egregious example), and it's the first continent new players get to see, and it doesn't give the best first impression. Much of the environment is very same-y and there aren't enough eye-catching landmarks. The early game quests also need some redoing and new voicework (Razor's quest is so bad, why was it left in the game in that state for so long someone please save him). The long-standing VA's have gotten well accustomed to their roles and can provide a stronger performance the second time around.
The Teyvat map is fascinating; Hoyo can add any number of expansions via new minimaps (Chasm, Enkanomiya) but the actual Teyvat overworld has some limitations. They really made a weird decision with the split water level outside of the Fontaine plateau at Lumidouce/Yilong that will make it impossible to connect up some sea routes. If they want to reserve Liyue expansion space for the future after Blackcliff, it'll have to be above Chenyu. Inazuma has the bottom-right corner for a whole island but not a lot more.
good genshin theory/speculation video. I'm sure their is another unnamed area of mondstadt were the descendant people of murata stay and possible origin place of venti(we glad to see if their is a statue of god of time). I wish we can see a paimon like creature in mondstadt expansion area it will be a huge lore of paimon origin. Dandelion sea expansion area is possible place of talking foxes i'm sure this area have a huge lore of kitsune in inazuma(because kitsune is not really from inazuma)
Minor error throughout this video is that you seem to think the body of water, where Lumiduce Harbour is, is the ocean. It's actually not part of the sea at all but rather a large freshwater lake and way above sea level, which means it would likely be impossible to get to Lumiduce Harbour from ports located at the ocean. This means Dornman Port is either at sea level, the same level as Lumiduce or somewhere in between. It looks like it would be at sea level since iirc it has been mentioned that it recieves shipments from Liyue. Although that doesn't neccessarily have to mean Liyue Harbour as they could've also been delivered through Yilong Warf in Chenyuu Vale. So it could be possible that Dornman Port borders the lake. Also regarding an Inazuma expansion, what I really want to see is some context regarding the Electro Dragon Sovereign since they have iirc never even been mentioned before. With Enkanomiya focusing on the Hydro/Bathysmal Vishaps it would be interesting where the Electro Vishaps went. The absolute lack of any mention of the Electro Sovereign and anything related to them in Inazuma makes me think they might have fled into the Dark Sea. Maybe at some point we need to seek out all the Sovereigns and that's our story reason to explore the Dark Sea.
@@athomeagain ah😂, I compared that place, it's smaller than Dori's place, they saved the budget for remuria I guess, can't complain, remuria is beautiful
I've known about all of these expansions, except the dark sea! Thank you so much for telling me this it's made me very excited since it could be closer (time wise) than you think.
1:32 That was my exactly thought since Chenyu Valley was released, there's need to be some kind of channel through Mondstadt and Snezhnaya to connect with the other portion of water, either is at the same level or not. Maybe this like-river channel goes up from the East to the Northwest and then went down from that point to the Southwest. Also, it's make sense that the three nations frontiers are placed in water, so the developers won't lose their minds trying to make it right.
For Fontaine we need a Ocianid place, since Fontaine came out de still havent have a Ocianid place, I have commented in one for your videos a possible way Ocianids can be in a spécial place for them since day one we know the Fontainians créatures are in every nations so making them come back seems pretty much logical
In inazuma we still have not seen the celestial nail. We know it around the area of Tsurumi island and maybe like with the chasm we can join an expedition team and go under the island to find it
I don't want to be mad at hoyo if they really just didn't have time for a better bayda harbor but they could have atleast put more than 3 chests 😢 its sad knowing that the area will never be revisited and updated (most likely)
the devs said that they aren't focusing on making the regions larger, after what happened with sumeru. instead, they're now focusing on making the game more enjoyable.
@@1Awaap1 i don't think they'll do it now, but maybe later. they said their current focus is natlan, and that might mean the release of dormann port and blackcliff getting delayed even further.

I think it would be cool if we could see the Purple Sea, which connects Sumeru and Inazuma. Apparently, it has been corrupted, and maybe we could find the Electro dragon here
great video! most times I watch videos like these I feel lost and confused but you really covered tit bits that people might not remember like remuria etc., thanks!
So I was recommended this vid when 4.6 dropped which dealt with the prediction at 7:57 Since at the time of sending this comment, 4.6 is out, I believe it is safe for me to say this. The prediction for Bayda Harbour and Petrichor are on spot, though Petrichor’s actual spot is a bit south. I’m just glad they got rid of the empty space in between… though the lands around Bayda might need a lil bit more stuff but otherwise is cool. However, the new Bayda Harbour is around Green Lush Lands and, at the current, there are no references to Khaenri’ah. Also, in the 4.6 update, another region is located under Petrichor, but I’ll let the people see it for themselves (it is worth it) Hoping to climb Mont Esus soon, though!
if you analyse the map borders and add the coast in the desert (and especially now when natlan was released) you'd see that there's just water around the desert, below sumeru and below liyue. With rough analysis it's one big seaside that we're not allowed to explore. Samudra coast could've been reworked into a port of some sort if we were allowed to explore the whole border between natlan and sumeru desert. East of fontaine is also a big seaside when we take a look down from a mountainpeak, but the whole region is elevated and provided you climbed a mountain and took a look around, you can see waterfalls around the north of the fontaine region. The water flowing south doesn't change that the waterfalls in the north have water flowing from fontaine (I guess that's why there's a paimon barrier in there). We don't know what's around the mountain on the west of the region. When it comes to monstadt - it's not finished. I guess Hoyo never thought how famous genshin would be and never expanded the region to the north but we can see that there's one of the rock formations behind paimon barrier on the map. Connecting the hole below stormterror's lair to liyue would be good too as much as connecting the lair to fontaine to the west. Natlan's the next inazuma - not connected to anything but the desert (even though inazuma isn't connected to anything at all) and that's bad. It's so far out there and the way through the empty desert is so boring it would be better if they just made some villages in the desert or some other way from fontaine to the pyro region. At this point I believe they only need to finish fontaine and sumeru, fill the gap in one place and evolve monstadt
I dont think we will see more about the dark sea until we are ready to fight against Celestia. So it would be like the second to last expansion region or the first sub part of a final region leading to a fight against Celestia.
we also didnt got dainsleifs quest in inazuma weve got mondstadt liyues chasm and sumeru but there isnt anything with inazuma despite people of khaenriah being in enkanomiya in the past and abyss order being there
NOTE: This comment doesn't have much to do with the actual video, it's just a related topic. I'm honestly a little tired of people who complain about additions to existing nations. Y'all do realize that Hoyoverse already has the entire map planned out in some sense, right? These additions were going to happen whether you like it or not... and it's not like the game hasn't been alluding to these unreleased regions the whole time. In short, complaining about an addition that has been planned since the conception of its nation is a little strange and honestly doesn't take into account how long it takes to develop these additions. Not saying every addition has been good, just that this is what Hoyoverse has planned for us and it's not our place to complain about additions to, say, the desert when that's what the developers have been planning for since the start. Critiquing the quality of existing additions is valid, but complaining that they exist is not. Sorry for the rant. I'm just tired of Genshin fans treating the people working hard at Hoyoverse like they aren't people. That's what this is. Also, GOD I really want Sucrose to play a big role in the Dandelion Sea questline if it ends up being a thing. After all, it is said that foxes can enter the Dandelion Sea, and Sucrose is oddly fox-like. I'm probably just coping hard though lol
Completely agree. Honestly my favorite part about map expansions is adding to already existing regions, especially if it's filling in holes or finally giving us coastlines! One of the reasons I love Chenyu Vale is cuz it helped fill in a gap and one of the reasons I love the third desert area is cuz it gave us coastline! The fact that we can see Sumeru's southern coastline but can't walk or sail along side it is very annoying to me.
@@noox13 YES. What's the point of a port you can't even use? They'll definitely be adding more onto Sumeru eventually though, judging by that gap between Fontaine, Liyue, and Sumeru. I've heard it's a port of sorts and I'm actually pretty excited for it because new islands are a possibility! Also, sailing from Inazuma or Fontaine to Sumeru would be SO COOL but it probably won't happen for a while. Also, we'll probably have to deal with sea monsters if they add on to Port Ormos, judging by what the lighthouse guard there says about the ocean. Maybe there will even be a questline related to hunting down that missing boat he mentioned? Someone needs to talk about this, lol. Also ALSO, when Dornman Port releases, there's a high chance we'll be meeting Eula or Beidou there based on the new event. Maybe we'll even get a second Eula story quest or another Beidou hangout. That would be awesome!
@@catdownthestreet Yeah! Everytime I see Liyue Harbor and Ritou I get sad thinking about how I can't sail to Port Ormos or vice versa! It's been interesting learning about the sea monsters in the ocean. Hopefully in future coastline/ocean expansion when Port Ormos gets linerated we'll encounter some. I'm very interested to see what Dornman Port turns out to be but we probably won't see that for a very long time. Would great to see more of Eula there and learn more about the stolen statue!
I love expansions (except Dragonspine as that freezing mechanic is annoying af and as a Canadian I find it mind boggling how we don’t get to go buy winter clothing to solve the problem but I’m not complaining about the addition, I just still have grievances over how damn difficult and annoying that region is when winter clothing should be able to solve that). World building is something I love and just seeing more and learning more about Teyvat is a lot of fun. The satisfaction when a hole in the map is filled either from an update or unlocking a statue of the seven is great and I cannot wait to see all of Teyvat in some years. The journey is so fun and as long as the game isn’t too big and laggy, they can add as much world as they want and I’m here for it. I cannot wait for that hole in the middle of the map to be filled as that’s probably the weirdest of all the holes in the map.
@@crammothy I completely understand your frustration with Dragonspine! I honestly love it there but I still don't like the Sheer Cold mechanic. I just hope Snezhnaya isn't that bad... Anyways. Here's my theory: in we will be reunited, we saw the defiled statue. Perhaps this is from the Mare Jivari, and it being taken is why it is described as a "sea of ashes where the wind does not blow" as well as a "completely empty" place "without anything at all,".
I have used a glitch to explore out of bounds a while ago, and I would love for it to become an official feature of the game, maybe one day. There is not much to be hidden besides empty landscapes, I hope they just remove the paimon barrier entirely, although I doubt they ever will. I can only hope there will be a lore reason or something.
I dont think we will go to Natlan via a Ship, the NPC Augustus Lovelace says you can cross the Desert to get into Natlan, so we might get a quest before it releases on 28 August to find a Guide who navigates us through the desert until we reach the border with Natlan 🤔

a dark continent type expansion that surrounds all land around the 7's territories would be so sick
I absolutely loved Chenyu Vale. One of my favourite areas to explore. 💚
Now I just cant wait for more Mondstadt to explore. It'll be like going home!
The new Event for 4.5 also mentions Dornman Port - Eula met Beidou there.
I think it's a pretty big port , it have tavern, houses ,so probably around Inazuma Port size
@@molybdnum it's already known that it's on the eastern side of Mondstadt north of Stormbearer Mountains following that coast line up. 😀
Dornman port waiting gang here 💪
Funny, how he got petrichor right at frist and than put it to the left 😂
A week ago with 4.6, Bayda Harbor came out. Absolute nothingburger, not even a single chest in the region.
When Caravan Ribat was released in Version 3.0 noting much was done there until the Archon quests and desert expansion in Version 3.1. I expect something similar in the future for Bayda Harbor. Perhaps the empty space to the west may see an "archon quest" expansion there.
There's actually a few chests in the region, one being at the top of the mountain next to the harbor, but yeah, not a lot
oh god please don’t make sumeru bigger than it already is
What an awesome and informative video.
Nah, Venti’s story quest should come along with either Durin’s revival or the defiled statue.
So many good ideas for Bayda Harbor, and none of them made it into 4.6. Disappointing map expansion
Bayda harbor did get added but theres litterly one chest and thats it bro they did it dirty
Talking about Remus as I was doing the quest
Something about Chenyu vale is we still lack Mt. Yaojun, possible its gone now cuz it was ancient but yea.
Finally someone else who remembers Layla's comments about her village and Petrichor
Dandelion sea expansion area is possible place of talking foxes i'm sure this area have a huge lore of kitsune in inazuma(because kitsune is not really from inazuma)
maybe the dandelion sea is between inazuma and mondstadt
Returning to this video after Bayda Harbour being released, I'm just disappointed cause of what could have been.

Bayda harbor got the treatment of all time
As in a good way or bad way?
I have seen the map
@@DinurAs bad way
.
Way too small for a harbor
@@DinurAsWell
It's literally smaller than the average Hilichurl camp
@@athomeagain ah😂, I compared that place, it's smaller than Dori's place, they saved the budget for remuria I guess, can't complain, remuria is beautiful
8:06 More like Completely Ocean except one island 🤣🤣🤣
I've known about all of these expansions, except the dark sea! Thank you so much for telling me this it's made me very excited since it could be closer (time wise) than you think.
I was really impressed when I got the new update the other day bayda harbour was exactly where you predicted.
Caught me off guard not gonna lie haha
1:32 That was my exactly thought since Chenyu Valley was released, there's need to be some kind of channel through Mondstadt and Snezhnaya to connect with the other portion of water, either is at the same level or not. Maybe this like-river channel goes up from the East to the Northwest and then went down from that point to the Southwest. Also, it's make sense that the three nations frontiers are placed in water, so the developers won't lose their minds trying to make it right.
8:30 4.6: No
I can't wait for all the new areas to be uploaded 😭
We need everything in the expansions.
We know it around the area of Tsurumi island and maybe like with the chasm we can join an expedition team and go under the island to find it
Seeing this after the Bayda harbour leaks is just..
Bro was trolling hard during the fontaine section 😭
The BGMs you chose are my favorite songs in the game, great choice!
I don't want to be mad at hoyo if they really just didn't have time for a better bayda harbor but they could have atleast put more than 3 chests 😢 its sad knowing that the area will never be revisited and updated (most likely)
and the fact that celestia is not even over fontaine, it's hovering over a F@%KING liyue region border.
The new natlan map is big as the whole green mondstat😂
the devs said that they aren't focusing on making the regions larger, after what happened with sumeru. instead, they're now focusing on making the game more enjoyable.
@@farhanrejwan so they have to fill the filler Sumeru place with something in the next update
@@1Awaap1 i don't think they'll do it now, but maybe later. they said their current focus is natlan, and that might mean the release of dormann port and blackcliff getting delayed even further.
@@farhanrejwan I hope that so but I think dormanport is verifyied by the leaks
@@1Awaap1 lol, leaks are just speculation, not verification. things are indeed changing too much recently, compared to before. the dev talks are verifications. but lets wait and see what actually happens.
you have such a lovely genshin lire channel. i love it so much.
This is just the "teyvat chapter" it's possible that we could leave teyvat via the dark sea.
I think it would be cool if we could see the Purple Sea, which connects Sumeru and Inazuma. Apparently, it has been corrupted, and maybe we could find the Electro dragon here
I dunno why but I'm having chills thinking the void century of One Piece is somewhat similar to the Khaenri'ah.
The ditto hole (hole between fontaine and sumeru, next to liyue) is so funny and yet it’s nothing what people actually thought it was going to be 😭😭
Spoilers:
Petrichor and the main capitol of Remuria right?
Same I expected those to be a lot further north lmao
great video! most times I watch videos like these I feel lost and confused but you really covered tit bits that people might not remember like remuria etc., thanks!
Mt Yaojun (baizhu snake mountain) is not in the game yet, so a north expansion of liyue is possible
The dark sea and dandelion sea are on my top waiting list
I need to see Rosaria's village that was razed by bandits.
IM SOOOOOO CURIOUS ABOUT THE DARK SEA
i think inazuma is the bridge to new dark continent
Thanks for making this!! super informative!
I NEED a new Island in Inazuma! ⚡️
Petrichor is disgustingly small along with Bayda harbor
I mean, if u count the underground castle it isn’t that small
@@M4L1KPOP it still is, compared to the body of water of surrounding it. It’s a waste of space
So I was recommended this vid when 4.6 dropped which dealt with the prediction at 7:57
Since at the time of sending this comment, 4.6 is out, I believe it is safe for me to say this.
Also, in the 4.6 update, another region is located under Petrichor, but I’ll let the people see it for themselves (it is worth it)
Hoping to climb Mont Esus soon, though!
if you analyse the map borders and add the coast in the desert (and especially now when natlan was released) you'd see that there's just water around the desert, below sumeru and below liyue.
I think we will get Petrichor, to the south of Fontaine, as well as Remuria ruins very soon.
07:50 that music has broken me, I cant escape the pain even in a video like this 😭
I dont think we will see more about the dark sea until we are ready to fight against Celestia. So it would be like the second to last expansion region or the first sub part of a final region leading to a fight against Celestia.
Inazuma needs an expansion. Maybe give it a few new islands. We need eleven islands, so we can call it "Inazuma Eleven".
What I am hoping to see for Mondstadt, is to see where the Lorance clan resides.
we also didnt got dainsleifs quest in inazuma weve got mondstadt liyues chasm and sumeru but there isnt anything with inazuma despite people of khaenriah being in enkanomiya in the past and abyss order being there
NOTE: This comment doesn't have much to do with the actual video, it's just a related topic.
@@catdownthestreet
Yeah!
Anyways. It's so exciting to be able to see everywhere you can go on the map. That's an aspect of exploration I didn't mention in my comment that truly makes traveling worth it.
One area i think a lot of people forget to bring up is the Mare Jivari. I think the lore of the area could be really interesting, although it may be hard to design actual gameplay for
I didn't forget it, it's located in Natlan, and this video is about the five nations we've been to.
@@SiliconOneFour oh really? Ngl i thought it was in Mondatadt bc I’ve only seen it mentioned by characters from Mondstadt, i guess i just didn’t read the lore good enough
@@am_a_tem6597 That's alright! I'd recommend reading the lore of the Talking Stick then! It gives lore on Natlan's history and the formation of the Mare Jivari!
i think there is dandelion sea cus it couldve be written in fairytale format to protect the info from the irminsul wiping also i once saw fanmade map of teyvat and in that map there was place called sonnets landing basicly where moon fell grew paradise among smoldering cliffs id like for dandelion sea to be like this(or it couldve be connected to hexenzirkel)
WE NEED INAZUMA EXPANSION
How much lokapala jungle does one need
4.6: yes
So. Many expansion I don't have enough memory 😂
Good video, as always~
Here's my theory:
in we will be reunited, we saw the defiled statue. Perhaps this is from the Mare Jivari, and it being taken is why it is described as a "sea of ashes where the wind does not blow" as well as a "completely empty" place "without anything at all,".
umm, i thought mare jivari is a natlan area, not mondstadt, no?
Well... at least this was made with love and not leaks
I just want a permanent Golden Apple Archipelago...
I am 100% sure that one area of mondstadt will be locked behing the nameless island.
I dont think we will go to Natlan via a Ship, the NPC Augustus Lovelace says you can cross the Desert to get into Natlan, so we might get a quest before it releases on 28 August to find a Guide who navigates us through the desert until we reach the border with Natlan 🤔
i hope that bayda harbor will have this beach resort vibe and that place to the east of chemin oublies entrance to fontaine
😢
Ummmm
No more desert I beg you no more sand
I love deserts
I don't like sand...
If more desert means more king deshret aka Amun Al-Ahmar lore I willing to get more of those 😅
Yes to more sand
Cry a river to bring life to the desert.
Sorry to say this but the hole in the middle of the map consists of… [small spoiler ahead so don’t click read more if you don’t wanna know]
