    Why would you have a video on a sign language interpreter and not have closed captioning available for it.

    Lindsey Rothschild Cross is amazing. Sign language is a true communication for the def and disabled I have a older brother with non verbal autism I learned a little bit of sign language from my mother. I have a child that is now a adult with autism but he is verbal and when he was little I communicated with him through sign language we dont need to use sign language now so I'm really rusty on my skills .Lindsey is amazing and passionate about her job and that puts a smile on your face keep rocking Lindsey Rothschild Cross 🤟❤😊

    Even as someone with hearing I'd love there to be an interpreter doing this kind of thing at pretty much any metal concert. It's almost doubling as crowd work, that would get anyone hyped up.

      Because they like to FEEL the music. We as people who aren't hearing impaired take things like a huge bass drop that shakes you to your toes for granted. All those vibrations and differences in those vibrations make them happy. That's why.

    Deaf people listen to music and go to concerts. Let that sink in.
    This story is the kind of stuff I'd expect from The Onion.

    • @the.magnus
      @the.magnus 5 років тому +11

      Douchy McDouche let THIS sink in, deaf people can enjoy music, they feel the vibrations from the instruments that is processed by the same part of the brain that we “listen” to music.

    • @douchymcdouche169
      @douchymcdouche169 5 років тому +1

      They still don't hear music and paying to "feel vibrations" at a concert is just stupid.

    • @the.magnus
      @the.magnus 5 років тому +6

      Douchy McDouche you are stupid if u don’t know you hear by your ear drums sensing the “VIBRATIONS”. Many deaf people are not 100% deaf, they still pick up different frequencies of sound. A lot of people at concerts stand close to the stage speakers to feel the vibrations! Have you even been to a rock concert? Cos, you sound like a child.

    • @douchymcdouche169
      @douchymcdouche169 5 років тому

      You keep talking about vibrations, but deaf people still can't hear sounds. You think a deaf person can hear a solo or vocals among all those "vibrations"? They can only feel the bass. Anyway you put it it's not a real concert experience. They can have as much fun sitting on a subwoofer at home.

    • @SmittyC-hf9zt
      @SmittyC-hf9zt 5 років тому +5

      @@douchymcdouche169 Besides that fact that they cant hear there is still a VISUAL show going on to supplement the vibrations. So, you can take your try hard douche baggery somewhere else. You're just being an ignorant troll. Fool.

  • @rossmartenak5517

    There is absolutely no need for an Interpreter for the Deaf's hands to reach further than the perimeter of their torso. Beyond that is simply overkill , unecessary, obnoxious, and distracting. There is also no reason for them to display exaggerated facial expressions.

    • @julicastillo206
      @julicastillo206 Рік тому +1

      So what you’re saying is that you feel it’s more appropriate to have them go to a concert just to watch someone stand still and only interpret the lyrics like a simple poem? Just like hearing people, they came there for the WHOLE experience, not just the closed captions that they can get at home.
      Sounds like someone’s trying to police a language and culture.
      Hearing people have it easy because we can hear the beat, the lyrics, the instruments, and the emotion in both the words and music. We can differentiate the noises we hear and feel, they can’t. Deaf people only have words to read- and vibrations if they’ve got a strong bass system. If I were deaf I probably wouldn’t go to a concert if the interpreter had to abide by your ideas of “appropriate” interpretation.
      Deaf interpreters at concerts are there to help the ENTIRE song be understood, felt, and explained by imitating the “obnoxious” and “distracting” sounds of instruments that you can easily understand with your ears.
      And “exaggerated” facial expressions are a vital part of the deaf culture when communicating, so, yes, it’s very good reason for them to display. Why shouldn’t they when even hearing people display facial expressions?
      All I can say is I hope you never go deaf because idk how you’ll survive with all that “unnecessary, obnoxious expressions.”
      And if you are deaf, then I don’t understand why you have an issue with this to begin with.

      It's actually very important when interpreting music. It's not typical ask and the body language plays a huge part in expressing the music itself and not just the lyrics.
