      I actually do agree that the idea of gender is oppressive. At least if you don't use it as a synonym for s_x. Gender ideology is what these radical left trans activists use to justify identifying differently. Gender in todays meaning is basically just the ratio of masculinity and femininity, which are stereotypes of both s_xes and these stereotypes are oppressive. These fake trans men are saying they're women, because they're a woman in their brain. I personally think this is s_xist, because you're claiming women have the same psychology and like the same things, which are stereotypically feminine things. You can not be mentally a woman or man, because being a woman or man are not mental conditions, they're biological traits. If gender was a thing, then there'd be no reason for trans people to physically transition. The issue with this "nb" person is just that he does not practice what he preaches, as saying you're not a man because you don't adhere to masculinity is still making use of gender ideology and enforcing the stereotypes. Gender basically implies that a masculine woman isn't a real woman and a feminine man isn't a real man. Gender is a useless s_xist term when not used as a synonym for s_x.

      I think the point is that if a man wears something that is traditionally feminine, like makeup or a skirt, then he's not a man anymore, but since he has a beard, which is masculine, then he's in fact a "they", something entirely out of the spectrum of biological sex. And then these are the people that say they want to get away from the idea of gender because it's opressive; the same people that act like wearing a skirt makes you less of a man, because as we all know women wear skirts, right? I mean, everyone knows that. Call me crazy but I think they're in fact reinforcing gender roles. "A boy who likes to wear makeup? No sis, not a boy anymore, sorry, you can't be a boy and wear makeup don't be ridiculous!"

    • @Redrosewitch
      @Redrosewitch Рік тому +36

      He's an androgynous man. I don't see why that can't be enough. Androgyny has worked for people for longer than I've been alive, and probably way, way longer again. And it's only in the last few years that we've had these demands to call people by a pronoun that isn't used except from when we don't know if a person is male or female.
      Yes. When someone is transgender/sexual because of Gender Dysphoria, then it's perfectly understandable and objective, as to why I'm being asked to interact with a male person as 'she' or a female person as 'he'. But this 'they/them' malarkey is all subjective and makes no sense.

    @saskia9720 Рік тому +71

    There have been a couple people I've seen online who were, in my eyes, so androgynous that I genuinely didnt know if they were male or female. For these people, it was incredibly easy to use the pronoun "they" as I didn't have any clue what to default to. But with people like Jeffrey, my mind defaults to "male" because of the secondary sex characteristics and name etc. Jeffrey isnt presenting in a way that is completely androgynous, he presents as a man wearing makeup/women's clothes. So my brain defaults to "this is a man wearing a dress". and i'm sure thats why other people "can't" use they/them pronouns for him, because their brain sees a man, so defaults to he/him. And Jeffreys asking people to override those defaults, which is an uncomfortable and unnatural thing to do.
    When you havent seen the person, you dont know what to default to, so "they/them" is natural and normal.
    When you have seen Jeffrey, (or someone similar to him) you know what to default to, and you have to somehow try to fight that because you know the default is "incorrect" in Jeffrey's eyes. Using "they/them" in this instance is unnatural and abnormal.
    It probably sounds harsh, but Jeffrey simply doesnt pass as non-binary, which is why its so unnautrual and difficult for people to use they/them pronouns.

What’s wrong with having more masculine or more feminine traits? What’s wrong with being a gender bender? I mean guys in the past have done it and they were still clearly men. Boy George, Bowie, all the hair bands and in the 80s and they were men.

    QUESTION: I am a straight female and never had any type of gender dysphoria. I don't understand what it's like to feel or not to feel like a woman. I know I'm a woman and glad I am even had 4 kids. How do I know what I feel like is a woman? How does a woman feel? How does a man feel different than me? I've never been masculine although I do a lot of "typical male" things like fix my own car and appliances. I also sew and do crafts too. I know I'm feminine and like it. Is that it? Anyway I am being serious. What does being a man or a woman feel like?

      well it can feel different for some people, but for me, I was raised as a girl, and I kinda knew I wasn't quite a girl was because of how I viewed myself, especially with my body, in particular my chest. what I mean is that anytime I looked at myself I felt immense disgust with my chest, and I simply just wanted to be in a boys body, and I hated the feeling of knowing I was a girl at all, it all just felt wrong, and I would spent hours trying to make myself look like a boy, and I always felt anxious if I looked too much like a girl. i also didnt feel like i belonged when i hung out with other girls, i felt alienated, and tried to hang out with and be like guys. as I got older I realized what it all meant, and realized I'm trans. the way real trans people realize they're trans can be diffrent from person to person, but this is how I found myself, anyways hope this helped and kinda answered your question:)

      @@Sam.D07 You did answer my question. I see it's way deeper than just feeling like a man or a woman, whatever that is. Thank you!

    Really appreciate the level headed content, as always. This particular gentleman you responded to is in my opinion a huge reason why the general public is getting super annoyed at the "trans" movement, because this gentleman is not trans, he is a man playing dress up. Which is obviously totally fine. It just irks me that the messages are getting mixed up and infuriating most people. Keep it up you're a great content creator. Hope you get back to 100% ASAP.

    Thanks for your calmness and down to earth attitude. This world needs that kind of stuff these days. That guy Jeffrey upsets my estrogen for some reason. He disturbs me. I try listening to what he's talking about but, I still end up feeling kind of sick.
