Trans activists insane reactions does more to hurt the "trans community" than anyone "misgendering" the unaliver in nashville.
Most transactivists don't seem to be genuinely trans.
Most of these people seen to be narcissists who are using being trans to claim oppression or victim points.
They are doing truly dysphoric people a huge disservice

Nor should she. I don’t understand why they can’t comprehend that she did more harm to their movement than the people misgendering her. If their community as a whole spoke out against her I bet there would’ve been less backlash. They basically caused the backlash for clearly having zero perspective. It shows that they think pronouns not only define people but that pronouns are more important than life in general.

The people who do this are loaded with narcissism and lack self awareness and respect for others. They’re using the trauma of innocent people being killed 3 of them being children as an excuse to make the situation about themselves. People who are using this horrific situation as a justification for making themselves feel better is so offensive to the families who lost those 6 people, especially the families of the 3 innocent children

Exactly! When I had my last son at 34 by c-section I asked for a hysterectomy because I knew I was done and have family history of ovarian and uterine cancers. Despite already having me open for the surgery my doctor refused saying I might change my mind. 5 years later I ended up with ovarian cancer and having to go through that surgery AGAIN for absolutely no reason. It's infuriating seeing them now perform this life altering surgery on children without regard to future regrets.

What people don’t understand nowadays is that respect needs to be earned and it can be lost by not being respectful to others.
This is not a "nowadays issues" To earn respect. If that's how you think fully that everyone has to earn respect and your respect to get it back? That's not really how it all works.

Where as the drugs used to transition children can cause permanent effects like chemical castration, vocal changes, and damage to growing reproductive systems, all irreversible.

I have been misgendered since I was a child. When I had a short haircut before puberty people always thought I was a boy because I was such a tomboy. As a woman, I have a deep voice, esp. as I get older. I'm also very direct and have a Brooklyn accent, which I guess makes me sound more masculine. So just about every phone call to the bank or utility company or drive-thru window results in me getting "misgendered." I just got called "sir" about 3 times getting coffee last week lol.
Fact is, I don't care. I don't even try to correct people. I'm secure in who I am. If someone is so insecure about who they are that the pronouns I use for them bother them, then that's not my problem. Maybe they need to work on why they feel so insecure and need my validation. Most of us use pronouns on autopilot, based on what the person looks like to us. It's not meant to offend in the vast majority of cases; to have to stop and think and remember every person's individual preferred pronouns kind of defeats the purpose of why we use them-- they are supposed to make speech more easy and fluid and not bog it down.

I’ve seen people blame the school for the shooting (since the shooter was a former student there and had something against the school) because it was a Christian school. This was definitely an underlying hate crime since she hated the school so much. I also saw a comment from someone who saw another comment that said that they hope the families were Republican and if so that they deserved it. It was so disgusting

I think once someone commits a crime of this magnitude, they loose their 'pronouns right' especially if they aren't even passing as that gender. Like using the right prononous so as to not misgender a monster is f*cking ridiculous.
I know this is YT rules... but calling a murderer an "unaliver" is actually really bothering me as its really watering down the severity of what they did. If my murdered child was just defined as being "unalived", I would be beyond angry that their death was being spoken about like it's just a condition that they are now suffering from.
I feel like we are going back to the dark ages and it's scary what people are going to do or say next. People are so emotionally fragile they can't face reality much less take scary dangerous things seriously because they prefer to aggressively defend their deluded ideal for what they want reality to be. In the future, if you don't hide your head in the sand, you will be viciously attacked.

They never do, and that was their first mistake. The trans movement happened so quickly that they didn't care about who was coming into their "community" as long as it was gaining traction. And now the "community" is looked down upon more than ever because of the people they have in it and for not condoning behaviours and yet they still blame everyone else.

Most of the "misgendering" wasn't on purpose, most of us and the media, really didn't know. The police chief was using she/her and identified them as trans. Then you see a screenshot of a Facebook or IG page stating he/him. Females have not shot up a school, males have, so again, this was confusing to us and the media. That person lost RESPECT when they have k!lled others. Period.

I came from Brett Cooper’s vid on this issue to this one, I love seeing the unity against the woke people who care more about pronouns than the 6 people who were shot. My heart goes out to those affected by this tragedy.
I feel sorry for genuine transpeople such as Marcus who have to see the violence and aggression coming from people claiming to be trans. The shooting was horrific and to set a statement out making it all about trans and oh yeah, remember pronouns. I only use pronouns if they respect me too and don't call me Cis
I agree with you 100%. I will respect someone and call them by what they prefer once they show me equal respect and are genuine with me. Respect is earned, not given and just “handed over” to. No one is entitled to get respect handed over to them right away just because they’re a certain person, they have to earn it and show that they’re a genuine good human being.

We understand that it is a difficult thing to talk about, when I heard, after the shock wore off I couldn’t help but sob for those poor children and their families, i have a little boy and this kind of stuff scares me about sending him out into the world. The adult individual who caused this tragedy in Nashville was referred to by the police using a female name and did not look masculine. Personally, it took me a while to figure out whether the person was a M2F trans or a F2M trans because there was so much vitriol flying around. It wasn't until a day or so later that I actually saw or heard the male name associated with this person and by that time, I was sick of hearing how transphobic everyone was for using the "wrong" pronouns.
I’m leaving this comment a full year later, and sadly, very few people have acknowledged this tragedy STILL! Those poor children and their families, and those poor brave adults and their families. Thank you for making this video.
The advocates for a cause usually are the first ones who do not really want to solve the problem they fight against, simply because they would lose their meaning in life, visibility, power, status, etc

It’s sick that any discussion except “how do we stop this from happening” is even coming out if anyone’s mouth. AND that human deserves to be disrespected. Period!! I was gonna comment the same thing. I hate how the media takes to sensationalizing these tragedies and we know more about the perpetrator than the victims. Aside from a criminal investigation into their motive, they should be virtually erased from history. They are not deserving of any attention or respect. It’s a vicious cycle whenever a tragedy occurs.

I know this was a hard video to make and I really appreciate you making it dude. Like really. You are the first transgender person I have seen who actually talked about what happened and did not try to humanize the school shooter. I’m in East TN and I was recently kicked from my graduate program because my Buddhist practice (the central doctrine of Buddhism is the meditation of the non-self) was seen as harmful to trans and other race identities. As a single mom who was in school to build a post abusive relationship divorce career, this has sent my life into a complete tailspin. For the record I’ve also marched in the local pride parade. It feels like the world has gone crazy. I’m just super grateful that you are speaking out in a way I can’t because I will be dismissed as transphobic. Please keep going. The world needs your voice. While I have filed a complaint with the university, what I discovered from a lawyer is that being a state funded uni, it’s written in the charter that they _can not_ pay out to individuals because that would be considered spending taxpayer dollars. This is also reiterated in the state constitution, so basically there is no way I can get the tuition I spent back. The best that I could expect from the complaint that I filed would be being reinstated back in my masters program. This is not workable because 1) Due to divorce money, I had a limited window where I could afford to go to school and still pay my bills (the faculty knew this when they kicked me) 2) There’s no way in hell I’d be willing to go back into a program that ran me out. I had 3 A’s and a Bs, for Christ’s sake. That environment is toxic. I’m super salty and I can’t do anything but complain and pay off the stupid loan. I do want people to know though. It could happen to others, and you end up in debt and career screwed.

That's religious discrimination... Did they put it in writing? If not, get it in writing why they kicked you out and then look into "Title IV of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which prohibits discrimination based on religion in public primary and secondary schools, as well as public colleges and universities." There's an email and phone number that should help you with it.

That person in Tennessee changed a name and pronoun on Linkedin. The junior high school friend that they'd texted that day (thereby traumatizing) didn't know them as a male. The people they went to art school with didn't know them as male. Did anyone, besides a website?
It’s kinda similar to the Chris-Chan situation where he molested his own dementia mother. A lot of trans activists were telling people to respect his pronouns (he’s supposedly a trans women) when he even admitted that he’s only trans to get with women!

Marcus you have truly helped me understand what it means for someone to be trans. My heart absolutely broke and bled when I read of the shooting. I am a mother of 2 grown sons and I cannot imagine the absolute agony the parents of the children are feeling and the heartbreak of the families of the adults taken are feeling. That person, the shooter, was described as someone who went by the pronouns he/him after a romantic interest died. They were also described as someone in therapy for emotional problems. That doesn't make them trans. SHE was a sick person that planned to take as many lives as SHE could. SHE gets no respect from me. It is such a shame that the outspoken trans community think more of themselves then the lives taken. Please keep getting the word out there.

I think the issue is trying to have a rational and open discussion on tiktok. As far as I can tell, talking common sense on that app makes you an outlier. Anyway great video as usual :)
Common sense and rational are not equal to one another. Be mindful of the difference. Common sense is fallible and subjective, whereas rationality is a mental skillset that can be taught and mastered and can even be used under severe duress. Common sense cannot.
TikTok is entirely antithetical to rational discourse, in every facet of its design. There’s no taming it, it just needs to be gone.

I've lived in Tennessee my whole life. A small town with a Christian college smack in the center of it. Only 3 traffic lights type small. This town is full of conservatives and good ol boys. That being said my ex husband decided about 3 years ago that's he's a woman and started dressing fem, wearing makeup, and grew his hair out really long. He enjoys making a speactale of himself whistling loudly as he's entering a business so everyone looks his way. No one's done anything to him. I'd ha e half expected it myself but people just seem to regard him with a mix of mild amusement and confusion as to what they are lookin at when they see him.

He was in a play in high-school that he did really well in and got praise like he'd never had before in his life and so theater and theatrics anything that might gain him attention he's been willing to do since then. He's done cam work mostly for other men before he decided he was trans. When I found out I told him he wasn't strong enough to be a woman.
