I’ve found that when people say “I’m just being my true self” it’s used as an excuse for their poor behaviour and to make you feel bad for being upset/angry/annoyed with the behaviour, taking away any responsibility for how their actions affect others.
You can be "true to yourself" and still have manners. I like video games, history, and kpop, but I don't go around demanding people do kpop dances in public.

Had a gf who did the whole "this is who I am, take it or leave it". And then complained when people were leaving it. I grew up Catholic and went to a Catholic primary and secondary school. I was taught the golden rule, to treat others as I wish to be treated. Therefore, the content of someone's character mattered more then their race, religion, culture, sexuality, etc. Jesus Himself was a man who spoke up for those who Hebrew society shunned and treated poorly. I never liked when extremist religious fanatics tried to twist the words of Jesus to fit their own benefit, and I don't like it when woke people do it either.

Jesus made very clear what appropriate behavior is... but he did sit with the sinners and told people that God will judge, and not them. So, not everything is good or _equally_ right.
But as the activists mock people and try to cancel others, the argument is still valid. They judge others... and that _same margin_ will be used for them one day.

Amen Sister. As a Catholic I have the same experience. They hate it when we say “love the sinner not the sin” but that simply means that anyone’s sins are their own and none of our business. God is the judge not any of us imperfect sinners ☺️

Yep usually looking for the people who aren’t into what they are and are trying to force the person they’re into; to be with them because they’re transphobic if they don’t.
Finding a partner (or even a plausible one), can be hard though. For anyone. Some find one early, some find later, some stay single. But the level of difficulty is individual, and doesn't necessarily correlate to a group you seem to belong to.
"I am just being my authentic self" is what my friend from high school told me after I met him years later at a party. Only he was wearing glitter on his face and now spoke with a lisp. So he was hiding his speech impediment for years?
What they meant is they’ve always been a person starved for attention and they can finally be who they are since society won’t call out insane narcissistic behaviors.

I will not tolerate self diagnosing autism. I grew up not knowing I had autism until my mid twenties. Until my diagnosis, my life was miserable. These wokesters will not make a mockery out of my mental disorder. And yes, I do call autism a mental disorder.

I’m a Christian but most people who left Christianity had bad experiences with churches. But it even says in the Bible don’t put your faith in man but in me. There are a lot of hypocrites in Christianity but those people give the rest of us a bad name. This person is very insecure but I pray they find God on their own and not be forced into it. I remember getting into an argument with a stranger when they say God is trans because he goes by “They”. Let me give you context on what they thought “they” was
I brought up the beginning of the Lord’s Prayer “Our Father, who art in heaven…”
And she responded“hallowed be THY name; THY kingdom come…”.
Thy means “your”…she really wanted to find proof that Christianity is LGBT so hard, that she didn’t even bother to search up what “thy” meant.

The “they,” that is referred to in the Bible is the holy trinity of the father, son and Holy Spirit, all who are gendered as male.
I was raised in a rather strict church and church school and while I have since changed my views on some things I was taught, through prayer and meditation, I still have my faith and attend a wonderful church where everyone is welcome to attend, no matter what they believe and I have never seen any of them be anything but kind and welcoming of anyone who has come to church. They still have a few things I would like to see them change their views on but I just continue to pray about it. I believe God made everyone, loves everyone and wants everyone to come to him. Jesus never used the word BUT when it came to who could join him in heaven. It was simple. Believe on Him and that he was raised from the dead and follow his example.
Once again, Marcus, I am very thankful you have taken on this burden of speaking out and trying to get people to stop and think. You are standing up for all of us.

The idea that a soul (firstly, that it even exists, but that it) can be born in the "wrong" body is a matter of religion and not scientific fact.
My question is why do people such as the people that Marcus is reacting to pretend to be loving and tolerant but yet they constantly show us that they’re not?

They are so stuck in an echo chamber, and that is all they see, affirmation of their current beliefs. This enforces and solidifies their beliefs, even if they have contrary evidence. As such, they deem anyone problematic who is not a part of that echo chamber already.

What i don’t understand is trans women’s facsination with lactating and breasts. it’s gross. all these trans women are OBSESSED with pregnancy and lactating, when it’s not designed for their bodies. it’s offensive and weird as a women, seeing these men want to lactate so bad without having children… or just so focused on their breasts. seems OVERLY sexual.

Our ‘community’ is the work we do , and the availability we give to each other- independent of whether we like or dislike everything each of us does or if we hurt each other’s feelings at times. And we have differing political and religious opinions. We are THERE. That is a community. A community is a commitment to serve. When one of their own (imagined) community says the supposedly wrong pronoun to another, all turn them out. This is not a community. They will turn on each other like rabid dogs at the drop of a hat - this is not the characteristic of a ‘community’- it is a the characteristic of a witch’s coven

God being male makes literally no sense because females are the original sex. There are species where the female can reproduce without a male but no species where a male can reproduce without a female. If God isn’t “nonbinary”/genderless then it makes the most sense for God to be female
God the Father is Male. The Holy Spirit is feminine (referred to by a feminine name in the Old Testament). Jesus was male.

I'm not Christian and afaik in the faith I was raised in God is believed to be genderless. He transcends the human understanding of gender, as he doesn't need it (though in the original scripture he's still referred to as a he because the language it's written in is gendered). And I'm pretty sure he still wouldn't be trans for this exact reason, an all-powerful, perfect being wouldn't have gender dysphoria or other human struggles 😂🤷♀️
The difference between Christianity and wokeness is that Christianity forgives while wokeness hold everything not only against you but against your friends, family, anyone who is good to you.
The politics surrounding trans acceptance are based on the idea that their nuance must be ignored, and if you're not willing to do that, you're not compassionate enough and are beneath those people.
That is quite religious.
Wokeness is a not a religion, but a cult. Religion implies existence and worship of a higher power. Cults worship individual(in case of wokeness, themselves and others like them, viewing those outside of the cult as inferior, lesser).

The ammount of things I have heard lately that boil down to "you aren't allowed to refuse me." Is insane. Then the community wonders why some of us fled and now rage against them.
I was violated before and I won't let others victim blame me into it again. A community that expects such things is no better than the past they claim to be changing.
My hypothesis: You cannot get out of a strong religious mindset easily, it is easier to switch from one to another. Funny, I remember a case from last year here in Germany about some non-binary person with "their" wife and the two raising their child "agender" and in an interview, the grandfather of said child said that the "non-binary" was once a fundamentalist religious christian man, before he switched and became "trans", this is nothing new. Sadly, historically speaking seeking "sex-change" to avoid same sex attraction is nothing new either. The oldest story I know is from Ovid's metamorophoses, where a woman so agonizes about being attracted to other women (she even claims to be worse than those being attracted to animals) that in the end the gods transform her into a man.
Also from Germany, saw the same thing. Also read the newspaper article claiming they were kicked out of kindergarten for being trans when in reality the parent brought sex ed books with them to the kindergarten and sat down with other people's children to teach them about transgender and intersex. They were kicked out not for their ideology but for crossing a line. I thought it was an interesting case since I am also working in kindergarten and was wondering how I'd handle such parents and overall if there are trans kids with parents who have such strong ideologies. It seems to be more common though in places with wealthier people.

I can understand what this person can reproach to the Christian community but… it’s more the people and not the religion because one of the concepts is that God loves the sinners just not the sins. The experience that this person had is more about a toxic environment than a problem with the religion itself.
my family is interfaith and we get on comfortably. i'm Jewish, my brother is agnostic, and my parents are Irish Catholics. no one has a problem with me being gay or having a girlfriend. we seamlessly celebrate each other's holidays together, etc. the fact of the matter is truly religious people understand the power of compassion and peacefulness both in oneself and others. that's something a lot of these people online are lacking - the compassion and peacefulness. they don't have to be religious but, if they truly care about other people, then they should be willing to listen to and have meaningful and respectful conversations with people who not extreme leftists.
One common cult mentality is, being self righteous, feeling superior to others, and believing that they are a member of a group of "the chosen ones"

I plan to watch this more later but I have to say, these people always role play conversations with us Christian’s and they act the same way as in the first clip here. Meanwhile REAL conversations with us play out oppositely. We are the ones chill and the activists are screaming and losing their minds.

It all comes down to accepting and loving yourself. I consider myself an independent politically. God loves you for exactly who you are. If you attended a church that told you would burn in Hell, find another church. I am the product of an affair. One of my teenage friends told me that God wouldn't allow me into Heaven because I was a "bastard." I told them the God I knew would let me into Heaven. My being born out of wedlock wasn't my fault. I had no control over it. If you are a kind, loving, and fun person, I'll want to hang out with you. I accept everyone!

Trans ideology makes me have a greater appreciation for gays and lesbians. I swear this ideology isn't only harming women in our spaces, but it's erasing gay men.
The claim it's 'preference' to refuse to date trans people making one phobic that makes me angry. With some transwomen it's back to using the same tactics 70's men did on lesbians. How dare they try to claim sexuality isn't inate when it took so long for it to be accepted? What selfish people. I find that's the root of all woke ideology. When you look deeper it's 'give me what I demand' using any trait other than straight white man as a shield to make such demands and playing on the guilt of the do gooder types who were also responsible for many millenials on being raised to be entitled selfish brats.

I am straight but have been attracted to women and I never thought I would get married 😂 you are not special you are just basic. I'm straight since always but due to early exposure to sexualized women in the past I've developed a minor attraction to women during my teenage years. To you, I'd be considered bisexual, but since I can clearly see it's not something that came naturally to me I call myself straight (and I'm 99% of times attracted to men as well). I'm lucky enough to remember the reasons and occasions that made me "bi" and recognize it was culturally imposed on me. Most people are not that lucky to remember. This is much more common than you think.

tbh.. i’ve said this in a couple replies, but a lot of these people have to have some sort of religious trauma. and now they are acting out. i always feel bad for them because 1. i have bad religious anxiety 2. because like one of the people said in this comment section, nobody should have to feel forced into knowing God or being taught he’s gonna send you to hell if you sin once. my best friend once was told that if she sinned even once she would go to hell. but i do think it almost is like a religion in a sense. you have to go by certain rules, be a certain way, etc. and it’s like in their eyes, detransitioning is like leaving their “religion” whether they realize that or not. and no not all trans people are like this, i’m just talking about the ones on these videos
That is disgusting. And completely against everything Jesus taught. The only people he openly went after and said would go to hell were the religiouse leaders. Why? They knew better, they were greedy, they treated others like they were sub human, and they killed people in the name of God. And they were proud of themselves for it. He was against all of that. He spoke to people from other religions all the time and never once said they would go to hell, nor did he say it to anyone else. I don't know what religion the people you know claimed to follow, but it sure wasn't Jesus.
I love that we are supposed to love them, while they justify why they hate us. You cannot demand love from people you actively, and publicly hate.
You don’t go to hell for breaking rules. God knows we’re not perfect and he knows we’re gonna sin. Also, he’s not trans. Technically, he’s not any gender, but we referred to him as father, because he does take on a fatherly roll.
When I was young I was told “stop caring what people think about you”. I didn’t realise until I got older how true that was. If you’re a good person, if you’re who you’re meant to be you will be accepted. You don’t have to make us use all these labels and watch every word we say. Just be you and we will be us and if we can all just be in one space together and enjoy life, everyone will win. Stop trying to force your confusion on us. I’m not a cis male I’m just a f’ing male. Get over it and grow up. These people act like children who never wanted to grow up and face reality so they shape it to fit their image regardless of how it makes others feel, just themselves. ...I really think it's because once you're brainwashed into a system of thinking, you're more susceptible to being brainwashed again. Letting go of religion means being in a precarious position where you have no frame of reference of what's real. Deconstructing is hard and uncomfortable, facing all the things you were lied to about, and ways you were complicit in being part of those lies.
Rather than slowly build a foundation of understanding & testing your perceptions about reality over time, people are susceptible to adopting another idealogy that ~sounds~ radically different (even though it's not). Discomfort and unsurety are hard to sit with and modern culture is an "instant solution" kind of culture.

There is no possible way God can be trans. He doesn’t even have a gender. Christians just say “He” because that’s just what God said. God is an entity. You can’t place societal ideologies on an entity. Something that is nothing and everything all at once. God isn’t human, you can’t expect him to act human either, and conform to your ideologies.

The only time I can see it happening is if the trans lie to the men about who they are and end up fooling the men and getting with them. That's basically rape and sexual harassment and I don't blame the straight men reacting with violence at that point.

I’m not trans but I did grow up in the church, and I’ve noticed a lot of people like me are drawn as adults to settings that mirror our childhoods; it’s something that actually happened to me as a teenager before I recognized it, and it can be hard to break out of because it takes uncomfortable self reflection to realize it
TLDR the “woke cult” appeals to a lot of people bc it reminds them of their childhoods without knowing it

Of course it's a religion. It even has apostates who used to be part of it but rejected the dogma and are now shunned and hated for that.
I'm transsexual and a devout (Protestant) Christian. I know that to some those two parts of me are contradicting and that's of course okay, I can't change that. Luckily my local priest has been really kind to me and supported me in my identity as a trans Christian, God bless her.
So I am both part of the trans and Christian community, and I can wholeheartedly say that I believe saying God is trans is just... not okay. It's ignorant to the whole concept of God. No, God is not "non-binary", "genderqueer", or "trans" in any way, God is beyond all of that, God is just God. God is divine and beyond human understanding. And he's also described as "The Father", like??
