The way this community rejects, demonizes, and attacks those who decide to revert to their original sex, makes them more like a cult than a community.

Because they are. The new age woke in America is literally a cult.. being led & programmed by Our own. It started years ago.. Our own folks went & paid Russians to learn their subversion tactics.. and began implementing them in Our schools, institutions ect. Have a look at Yuri Bezmenov's interview here on YT. Wish someone had listened to him.

A fear that they may have made the wrong desision themselfs or pushed someone to make a decision with too much haste. Thus they will attack any indevidual that represents that fear.
It would definatly explain the hatred activists have for anyone who highlights detransitioners, fear that they themselfs may have made a mistake leading to lashing outward instead of relfection inwards. A very human reaction for a number of topics is to lash out rather then admit fault.

    • @aanimavilis1492

I was called transphobic many times bc i openly talk about all that problems with sex changing procedures, detransytion and need for good psychological care for LGBT+ people.
I'm very interested in medicine and study a human and animal psychology and honestly I'm not a expert but I just know a few things. Also i had since kindergarten trans friend so this field is very close to me.
And I will not shut up. It's better to go on good therapy for three years than ruin your health with hormones or unessesery operation. It's not the thing you can undo.
So it's amazing if you're mentally stable, you know what you're doing ect. But if someone is in very dark place in their life, is manipulated by the groups of fantastis and have a big mental problems so... This person shouldn't make a that serious decisions.
I also was wondering back then if I'm trans. But no, I had a problem with my sexuality, orientation and others serious things.
Now I'm very femmine lesbian and I'm that person that in past I wanted be, but thought i can't. ☺️
We all want(and can) to be happy but also we must be cautious!

I think we just don't have better words to describe bigotry against certain groups. I know no one likes the implication that they're "afraid" of something, but that's not how the word is being used in these cases. One word can have multiple uses; "phobia" is far from the only one.

    • @CounterCultureWISE
      @CounterCultureWISE 2 роки тому

@@breeexmortis Education is not bigotry. It's literally the opposite. Yet, the moment anyone speaks truth or asks questions, they're labeled as -ist/a/phobes. It's an offensive mechanism meant to drive people away, and it works so well that now those very people who drove others away are complaining they're not accepted into the society they're continuously alienating.
It used to be "we just want to live our lives," and the vast majority was fine with that. But now it's turned into twerking naked in the streets, forcing society to ignore (or accept) deviancy, outright violence, and permanently harming children. Ya lost the plot, folks.
Hard questions must be asked. I feel the same way about religion. If your belief system cannot withstand basic scrutiny, it's a weak set of values to base your life on.

Phobia means fear, like a phobia of spiders, when someone sees a spider when phobic they are paralysed with fear. The word transphobic I wrong and harmful as nobody I've heard of in the whole world is transphobic...except maybe a small child who sees the 6'5 monster of a "woman" and knows something ain't right.

Exactly, I don't get why people can't understand this.. Ignoring an issue doesn't make it go away, and it's often going to make it worse. As traffic accidents increased, people invented things like seatbelts and airbags. Governments made laws on how we should to drive, they put up signs to us know the rules in that area, there are safety standards that cars must meet. We need to show we're qualified to drive by getting a licence, and there are laws that define exactly what ''qualified to drive'' means. Car crashes still happen even when all the rules are followed, but all these rules minimize the risks.
And I'm sure that even when there are strict standards that have to be met for someone to start transition, there will still be some people who detransition. But there will be much, much less of them. If we continue to ignore this issue, the number of detransitioners will continue to grow and make it seem like transitioning is almost never the right thing to do. So when they finally realize that there need to be rules, they might become so strict that actual trans people will have great difficulty to get the okay to medically transition.

      1. These people already paid hundreds and thousands of dollars to get the "medical treatment" so funding itself is already an issue.
      2. big pharmas have way more control over the narrative as well as access to lawyers and perhaps even bribing the court.
The only thing we could do right now, is share as much stories as possible, stop children from harming themselves before they know what they're getting into, and also knock some sense into those around you and me who are still living on unicorn island.

I'm a detransitioner. I was able to start hormones after only 1 singular appointment with a gender specialist. It was informed consent so I'm not saying they were at fault, it was absolutely my decision, but I think informed consent should be abolished - or at least extended over a few appointments. Trusting people to know what they're getting into only after a single appointment is negligent. Luckily for me, I realised I was making the wrong decision only 6 months into my transition, so I have no lasting effects. Any breast tissue I developed actually went away quickly, even though they told me breast tissue growth doesn't reverse.
But I was definitely treated differently by my trans friends and now they're completely out of my life. I feel like a bit of a leper when talking with trans people, as if talking to me or treating me like a person is too much of a heavy task for them. I've identified first as a gay male, then a trans woman, and now a detransitioner, and I can tell you now I've never received more disrespect in my entire life than I have as a detransitioner.

    • @lunarcorpse
      @lunarcorpse 2 роки тому +30

There's nothing wrong with detransitioning it just wasn't right for you. You didn't feel like you. I've recently discovered I'm either non-binary or trans, but I don't think I want to go all the way with transitioning I know I wouldn't be happy. I may just be non-binary. I know the only things I'm willing to do is get rid of my breasts and my uterus. I was scared to tell my best friend. And she immediately asked me what my pronouns were and what name I would prefer. Despite our differences she's a good friend. True friends would stay by you regardless of what gender you are or what gender you de/transition to. A real friend would make sure that you were okay and help you through it. Or even just listen so you can feel heard. Hopefully you find good friends that don't abandon you just because your life decisions doesn't fit theirs.

For mental disorders, such as Anorexia, you must tell them the reality of their situation, and mentally recover them through therapy. You do not give them a liposuction.
For Body Dysmorphia, you do not give them plastic surgery to fix their flaws, they are given Therapy.
But for gender dysphoria, doctors ask them if they liked blue and trucks or dresses, pink, and dolls as a kid. Maybe ask them how they felt during puberty or about puberty (because every 'cis' person would say they absolutely loved it and weren't uncomfortable at all!). Then, you give them (sometimes puberty blockers) HRT, then later surgery (of course with not a single mention of detransitioners) in order to gratify their dysphoria (disorder).

@@daiseuets this is something that always confused me as someone who suffered from body dysmorphia as a teenager especially when I was not happy with my weight. Like if someone with gender dysmorphia can get breast implants, or remove their breasts, have surgery to alter their face, alter their fat distribution via hormone treatment, why are people with body dysmorphia denied those treatments and given cognitive behavior therapy instead....? Are people with BDD somehow less deserving than people with GD? Now that I am older and I have a much better range of control over the dysmorphia I understand that surgery is not the answer. It has wildly different outcomes depending on the individual. It is a topic that the person experiencing the dysmorphia should debate heavily with a provider before moving forward. There is no fully reversible plastic surgery or hormone treatment. It seems to help some, and make others worse. But the proportion of people who's mental state worsens after surgery seems to be much larger than people who benefit from it, in both types of dysmorphia. The fact it isn't reversible makes it so much worse. When I lost weight much of my dysmorphia disappeared. Losing weight was a reversible action I took. But if I had opted for liposuction, my body would be changed forever. In the area I wanted fat reduction, I would have been left with long deep scars down the inside of my thighs to my calves. Losing the fat there naturally took time, I had to get to the lowest end of the healthy weight range, but I'm there now and it didn't put me in debt nor did it leave me with irreversible scar tissue.

Those in authority positions aka doctors have that same responsibility to help discover what will truly be the most beneficial course of action. I think people call that gate keeping because they want to be told what they want to hear because that feels good right now .
Nowadays people act like speaking the truth of situations is bullying and harassment when in truth it's for the persons actual benefit. Hope this makes sense, rushing to type as board train !

@@FerrisMcLauren When one person accuses another of gate keeping its said
with a negative connotation. Its akin to accuses someone of only allowing cool kids into their tree house club. I've often heard individuals such as Marcus accused of being a gate keeper (also a trans medicalist).
I find everything Marcu speaks on as the opposite of anything negative. He has lived the experience. He is fulfilling the responsibilities that elders of all groups fulfill for the younger generation .
It is not gate keeping to share truths. Especially hard truths! They are often said the least but need to be heard the most. There is a term that is actually accurate for the actions some label "gate keeping" and that is
      Safe guarding.
Kinda similar realm but very different implications. It's not about hoarding social currency and keeping it all for a tiny group of individuals. That's gate keeping. Safe guarding is taking on the personal responsibility of making sure others chose an action only after having all the accurate facts and truly weighing the possibilities that may come from their given choice.
Teenagers or the kids even who claim they are trans and get medical treatment blows my mind. In most situations we protect them from life altering choices because we know they aren't able to truly conceive of the future implications. We refer to them as underage. Under the age of being capable of truly consenting by considering all the truths involved. Having legal drinking ages for example is not referred to gate keeping of alcohol or experiencing intoxication. That's not an equivalent but a demonstration of the ideas behind the words I'm choosing.
I have an opinion in regards to your friend. May I share? I don't want to say to you something that friend may find offensive unless you care to hear it and know it's coming from the place of care and concern that I would feel if it were my friend.

When you said “but I thought gender was fluid…” I had to giggle. It’s really sad that once a person detransitions they somehow morph into an evil cis person and that means they can no longer have any thoughts on gender. I don’t understand why some trans people think cis people never struggle with gender or gender roles, or even how their body relates to these gender roles and norms. They have this all or nothing idea of trans vs. cis, all the while saying it’s fluid, when I think all people struggle with gender expression on some level. To have absolutely no threshold for when that struggle should be medicalized is kind of wild to me. All the internal inconsistencies seem to spring from resentment and fear. All humans are subject to gendered expectations and inconvenient biological facts. Is much rather see an attitude that we are all in this together rather than an attitude that cis people don’t even experience gender and need to shut up.

How sad that a community that claims to always be so close and look out for one another would basically shun those who chose to detransition. Every single one of us has made a mistake or bad decision, but that is no reason to make someone feel alone or abandoned because they choose to correct a bad decision. ❤

You made excellent points here. The trans community, at large, wants people to have very light gatekeeping and wants these folks who detransitiion to remain silent. Basically they want to have their cake and eat it too.
So many radical groups before them have acted in similar ways, with varying degrees of success. It’s important we must listen to everyone and we must not let fear of being labeled something control us. Speak for truths sake, even if it’s the hardest thing to do.

Thank you Marcus for highlighting this issue and bringing such clarity to it. What you say makes so much sense! I believe there are actual people with gender dysphoria whose only option to relieve the anguish is to transition. No doubt in my mind. But I believe self-identification is bringing in groups with other underlying issues for whom transitioning would not be a solution. Good responsible gatekeeping is needed to keep everyone safe. And the stories of detransitioners are so important for many communities, not just the trans community. For instance some of the stories I've heard so far, that concerned detransitioning women also highlighted the problems many women face dealing with womanhood that can lead to much suffering and mental issues. Escaping womanhood could present itself like a solution to someone in great pain. Its only good if these issues come to the attention more. (this is just an example, the issues are of course far more diverse and complex)
Also if more people started getting correct diagnoses and the correct help, wouldn't the waiting lists for help for actual trans-people drop? Wouldn't that help the trans community? Once again, thank you Marcus for amplifying these voices.

I love your views so much. I agree. Wholeheartedly and I’m not trans. They wouldn’t be “detransitioners” if they were “never trans”. The trans community and the lgbtq+ community is just a confusing mess of sensitive hard headed people who can’t seem to grasp that being TRULY trans, isn’t for everyone. Going through life changing surgeries isn’t for everyone. And the people who have never gone through a surgery, never had anything change drastically about their body besides their hairstyle and what they wear, calling themselves trans, they have no clue how it feels to have regret for something so drastic. And they’re most of the people who bully detrans people. It’s so frustrating lol they say love everyone until you don’t agree with their views.

I do have mental health conditions such as bipolar 2, but I was also diagnosed with gender dysphoria and have been in transition for 9 years, 8 years on blockers and 7 years on estrogen. Transition has improved my quality of life immensely. I am saving up for some surgeries. Anyways my point of my comment was they should gatekeep who gets access to trans surgeries and treatment for transsexuals. I know they need to gate keep it so only transsexuals and nobody else can get this treatment. Plus therapists need to dig deep with their patients to rule out any other possibilities like they used to when I started HRT.

Last year I took a psychology class. When to subject of transgender individuals came up I got a lot of hate from my fellow classmates when I spoke about my position.
I said that I believed that transgender individuals should have between 3-6 months of exploratory therapy not just gender affirming therapy. Exploratory therapy helps people find the root cause of their feelings. It can help people find and work through their feelings such as depression, anxiety, and any other emotional issues they may experience. This could greatly reduce the rate of detransitioners as well as the suicide and depression rates within the trans community.
I was accused of being transphobic by some of my classmates but my thoughts on the subject did open the class up to having an interesting conversation on the subject.

How about we show some compassion for people that are lied to, misled, got butchered by criminal doctors, robbed of happiness and are suffering horribly. Mentally and physically. It's bad enough that main stream people are jerks about it, but to have your own community be ignorant is seriously disturbing. I'm not Trans nor gay, so I can't claim to even begin to understand the psychological pain, but I am a human being and I'm absolutely horrified about what is done to all of you on a medical standpoint alone.
Medical professionals that use human beings like lab rats, while lying and in spite of statistics continue to destroy people's lives... should be charged with crimes against humanity.
To the Trans people that trash talk ANYONE in serious physical and or mental pain ( for whatever reason) ... you should be ashamed of yourselves, don't expect compassion or decency when you are seeking validation, you're trash.

It scares me to think that I could have been a detransitioner. I had legitimate gender dysphoria at the time, but not for the reason I thought. Turns out I had a severe hormonal condition that was CAUSING dysphoria, and transitioning would have exacerbated it. I got a diagnosis. I got treatment (which, for me, does involve HRT because my body can’t produce its own hormones). The dysphoria went away

I’ve tried to get her in touch with some of my trans friends so she can talk with them and hear their stories. I’m with her no matter what. We live in a small, small minded town where she will never be accepted as a male. She has self harmed very recently and is now in therapy and on antidepressants. Thank you so much for bringing critical thinking and intelligent rationality into the light, as a trans person, on a topic that has gone off the rails. As a 60 year old 'straight woman' (and we never hear that terminology anymore, as if it is of bygone days along with the horse and buggy, and no longer exists but for the Amish), I thought I had seen it all. When I have tried to have rational conversations with "woke" people on this topic just as you are doing, I have been called transphobic, sick, and basically an enemy of all things sacred and meaningful. I loved your comparison to the '80s vs now and you are so spot on! I feel that it's the "transfever agenda" that has induced any sort of phobia that might be occurring today....if it indeed even exists as they seem to want it to, and try so hard to provoke. I know men who are afraid to approach dating sites because they never know if they are talking to an actual woman or a medically trans person. There is nothing wrong with wanting to date a natural born woman, but as you said, many "trannys" lie. You are a gem! Love you much.

New to your Channel, it showed up in my feed. I'm glad you're speaking up for those who detransition and those who are considering the transition. It's good that you created a positive space and a place where one can get answers. I'm an older lesbian who remembers when being transsexual was not as easy as it is now. My friends who were trans are mostly all dead. If not by Suicide or murder there are the drug overdoses and mental breakdowns that was a plague to them. A lot of them did not have the option of the transitioning nor were they allowed to say I made a mistake. Those who were murdered were murdered because they were out tricking to make money for their hormone treatments. The suicides they die because they realized that transitioning was not the answer to their problems it only created more. And these were people who had years of therapy years of trying on their new bodies by cross-dressing before transition and they still went through transition despite the fact they knew it was a bad fit. If D transitioning were available to them I'm sure a lot of them would be alive today. The political climate of today seems that no one is permitted to make a mistake in any genre of life. Will there be transition a misinterpretation for misunderstanding of something that's been said down to just joining the wrong group. Seemingly none of these transgression are forgivable, even voting is considered a hostile act and Unforgivable. What I'd love to see is a much gentler and less opinionated Society. People have forgotten the nursery rhyme about sticks and stones they let words hurt them like small children do when someone says you're a booger head. Well that's enough of my rant. Thank you for doing what you do. May you always find peace and happiness in Who You Are.

Detransitioners need to be heard however it's only the far left and trans people still figuring themselves out, trying to silence detransitioners not the trans community itself so the best thing we can do is show detransitioners that we care about them but at the same time we shouldn't attack the entire community. David raimer is a prime example of a detransitioner and he is a prime reason why the dsyphoria that they feel from transitioning should be talked about because like him it could cause them to take they're lives also the far left doesn't realize that this kind of behavior gives terfs power because the detransitioners that feel denied will look to them for support because they're just there.also please let's remember that Transsexual aren't the only trans identity there's also transvestites which includes gender non conforming people there is no real or fake transsexuals or transgenders just some gender non conforming people with egos.

It's frustrating that "transphobia" and "anti-trans" basically means any time a trans person disagrees or feels "threatened." Detrans people can't tell their stories because it's "transphobic." Can you imagine if we told trans people to keep their stories to themselves because it might upset all the "cis" people? Many things can be true at once; people can tell their stories, informed adults can decide to transition and physicians can do their jobs and gatekeep to make sure people are making the right choice. Detransphobia is real. They're a smaller minority than trans people, so they're higher up on the oppression totem.

"They keep saying 'I used to be trans.' No, you never were!"
I don't know why this commenter is disagreeing with the detransitioners; that's kind of their point, don't you think? 🤔
They had other issues that they were confusing with gender dysphoria, and yet because of the current social climate, they were guided into transition. A transition that wasn't right for them or their medical/mental/emotional needs.
THAT'S the problem, THAT'S the point. The fact that people are pushing for transitioning to be so quick and easy to begin, the fact that so many other issues are being forced into the "trans" box, the fact that most medical professionals can't do anything but "affirm" someone who says they're questioning their gender (or risk losing their career)- these are the problems. The fact that we now have so many people "who aren't even trans" that have began/gone through irreversible transitions IS the issue.

I used to consider myself a proud liberal, but now I find myself being a moderate one.... This gender ideology thing has gone too far and even contradicts itself. I like hearing all sides of the story and detransitioners should have a voice too! The whole transitioning thing is still somewhat of an experiment. We don't know what's on the other end...we don't know what the long-term effects are. We just supported it as a way to provide psychological relief to people with gender dysphoria. Knowing more about it should be a good thing, not a bad thing. And you can't control the narrative by discriminating a whole group of people and preventing them from speaking about their experiences.
