"I'll be back!"
"Only in a rerun."
Still the best comeback to that catchphrase I've ever heard.
GO!!!!!
He said "I'll be back" in Last Action Hero and the 2 Terminator movies.
He also said it in Commando
@@thegroove14 also in Twins
By far.
Richard Dawson just killed it in this role....
he is one of the best parts of the movie, he should have done more as i think it was his last film role also R.I.P
Secondo me è perfetto per la parte di Killian
Best Supporting Actor Oscar would have been very well deserved here.
That's because he was an actual game show host
Richard Dawson killed it with that one line to counter Arnold's famous, "I'll be back" with only in a rerun.. Lol
When Arnold says "I'll be back", you can count on it!
Only in a rerun.
Just ask the maid 🤠🙊🙉🙈👀
Jack Slater is coming back.
He comes back even if he isn’t a terminator.
The "I'll be back" is basically Arnold Schwarzenegger's trademarks
The 1980's. Best decade for these kind of Films...
RIP Richard Dawson & RIP Yaphet Kotto.
Richard Dawson was the only one who could defeat Arnie's comebacks.
Well that is until Arnie sent him flying into a sign post
"Well that hit the spot!"
True. But Richards DID come back.
You got to admit the concept is great, future reality show.
I know the term "remake" is looked down upon, however there is so much more that could have been mined from this IP.
A Running Man Returns TV show that looks like a fake reality show could be interesting.
@@RocKnight11 why not keep it more loyal to the book
I do, Believe me
@@RocKnight11
By the way this are "gladiators", nothing is really new in the world just the date.
i did like this movie cause the concept seemed to be plausible.
Such great casting
Maria Conchita, such a beautiful voice, adorable beauty.
And Richard Dawson, what a stroke of genius. Perfection
To this day I still love the catch phrase “who loves you and who do you love!!!”.
I recommend reading the book. Even if you're not a book person, it's short, not a complicated read, and a total page turner.
Basically some guy living in the poor part of town goes to apply to be on the game show network. He's chosen for Running Man, which is their deadliest game.
He's given a 12 hour head-start before anyone starts looking for him and a significant cash advance. If he gets caught, he's killed on the spot. His estate gets more money for every hour he stays alive, and if he makes it to 30 days then he wins the game.
While he can go anywhere in the world, anyone who spots him can phone in his location for a cash prize.
If you've read the Long Walk, then Running Man feels very similar in concept and tone
My favourite book!not long bought the film cover edition,£30 cheaper lmao
The Bachman books are all good. Even Rage, though I do approve of King's decision to retire the title.
Even though "The Running Man" is one of King's more underappreciated works, it is, as you say, a total page turner. This is the only one of the Bachman books I've read, but you make me want to look into the other ones as well. The short story collection "Full Dark , No Stars", I can really recommend if you happen to have missed it. They are perfect bed-time stories.
@@oddish4352 the long walk is similar in that regard to the running man, roadwork is a bit slower but one of his best
@@Imnottheborough The Long Walk is a great study in psychology. These kids are in competition against each other, to the death... and yet they forge genuine, solid friendships with each other.
I'll be back...
The look Richards gives him is just the best
Then.. Only in a Re-run gets dropped 😂👍🏻 still makes me laugh to this day
Even Arnold has a look after that says "yeah, that was a good comeback to my line."
Still my favorite Arnold movie! This movie in my opinion had the best story line, cast, and soundtrack out of all of Arnold’s movies.
Soundtrack is brilliant - Harold Faltermeyer
Terminator, True Lies, and Collateral Damage would like to have a word with you...
@@b.entranceperium terminator is definitely up there trust me lol I just think that the running man personally has a better soundtrack that sticks to my mind.
@@b.entranceperiumTerminator 1&2, but the others
The shuttle down to the game zone is the only thing in this movie that still looks futuristic today. 😂😂
Like the Tube Shuttle featured in Gene Roddenberry’s “Genesis II” pilot.
Richard Dawson was great in this role. What a despicable, egomaniacal villain.
Its time to start RUNNING!!!
Fun fact, there was only about 10 feet of chute that the sleds went through.
Top film, I remember watching it as a young teen in the late 80s. Loved it from that first viewing and surprisingly it is one of those films that I don't mind rewatching whenever it is on!
Dunno why it's not mentioned or shown, for some reason it's largely forgotten. But it's one of his best movies and it's a great movie The Running Man is in my collection
1:39 I'll be back!!!!!!! always in his films
Only in a rerun!
@@itsjemmabond That was actually a sly comeback from Killan lol
Classic Arnold Schwarzenegger
Hercules in new york?
Can you imagine that sled ride in ANY amusement park 😳
Richard Dawson was the host of "Family Feud" and it premiered in the year of 1976.
He should have won a oscar for this
He was outstanding in this
Dawson was well known for playing Corporal Peter Newkirk in Hogan's Heroes, as a regular panelist on Match Game ,1973-78, and as the original host of Family Feud 1976-85, 1994-96.
It always sounded to me like Arnold's "I'll be back" catchphrase was dubbed over in this movie.
Well, they probably ADR the line .
Love this movie
I did not know this, but the “it’s time to start running!” And “On your marks, get set…GO!!” Were both sampled for Static X’s Terminator Oscillator.
So this is where Smash T.V. got its inspiration.
Childhood movies 🤩
Two future governors were in the main cast!
I love Arnold's one-liners
Film is set in 2017 and Killian mentioned the big quake of 97, I love how accurate the idea of US government just doing nothing with wasteland destroyed by a massive Earthquake for over 2 decades. Bang on the money.
This movie was waaaaayyyyy ahead of its time!
The forward thinking from Stephen King..... awesome 👌
Film’s good on its own terms, but it’s got very little to do with the book besides the death game premise, and even that is heavily altered. But Stephen King was definitely thinking far ahead 👍🏻
I think he was making some commentary on economic equality and it’s relationship to how we consume media/the way the US prison system works in regards to poverty
very accurate technology predictions in this movie, smart home, deep fake etc.
Also predicted Christmas trees "HEY LIGHTBULB 💡"
The vehicles the runners are in is cool they could actualy make an amusement ride out of that.
In another timeline, we have a remake of this movie but Vince McMahon is playing Killian
stone cold steve austin would've definitely been in one of the sleds 😂
They're in the pipe, five by five and they're headed for some chop.
The first Movieclips video without logo in video & song in ending
Awesome film
Super!
I've always hoped for a rollercoaster 🎢 ride just like those sleds
Great movie I saw it in theaters at 5 years old in St. Louis
5 years old on tv streaming for me :)
This film was ahead of its time, Hey Christmas Tree lol
Hey, lighthead!
*Steven King* wrote the novel that the script is based upon!!!
Which was 100 times better. The entire USA was the playing field and everyone in the country was trying to find you for cash prizes.
I woud love a remake much closer to the book.
Then after that story came out... You'll have Deadman Wonderland, Flashback's Death Tower, Hunger Games, Battle Royale and such
It's been a while since I read the novel, but it was quite different. I remember even Stephen King saying that the Ben Richards in the novel was malnutritioned and showing signs of tuberculosis and he was quite surprised to see an ex Mr Olympia, Arnold Schwarzenegger, playing that character. Not to say that didn't enjoy the movie. I remember seeing it with my cousin Patrick when we were in junior high.
Also Richards is doing the show cause his daughter needs medicine
They should really make a game around this.
for men who maltreat their women
They did. Smash tv

LOVE THE MUSIC... REMINDS ME OF EDDIE MURPHY'S BEVERLY HILLS COP
That rocket sled is something I want to try
As Weiss, Locklen, and Richards are meeting Stevie scenes of the Running man movie are playing on the billboard screen showing the runners including Amber being attacked by the Stalkers.
The scene where Richards and Amber are facing Dynomo her hair is shown and her body.
They also show when Arnold was being dragged around by buzzkill, I wonder if they did that so they didn’t have to take extra footage 😂
Or you could go conspiracy and say that the government knew from the beginning that Ben Richard’s was going to say no to killing all those people (even if he did ig they could use that) and then they moved amber in knowing he would come back to try and get his things.
@@justjerm1823 You like a lot of good sense Jerm thank you, glad I’m not the only one who saw that.
Btw it’s playing on Amazon Prime Video
Stephen king's masterpiece
Actually, the movie has almost nothing to do with the book except for the title and the most basic outline of the concept. The film is an almost wholly original creation.
@@user-do2ev2hr7h
And a classic it is.
He HATED it.
The new ride on carnival icon.
After Ben Richards kills a stalker, he’s got a one-liner to say. 😂😂
Nau! Playn Seroow
1:39
You all thought Terminator was the only time he ever said that line, did you?
He says it in Commando too
I enjoyed this movie immensely. When you watched the reality TV show you wondered what was actually real and what was fake because some things were faked.
"I'll Be Back!"
Only in a Rerun!
The coolest was here! 🎉
Only in a rerun . 😊 Too bad that line ain’t more famous.
King wrote a great story.
It looks so "Cheesy" today, but I loved it when I saw it at the theater.
The tunnel effects are incredible though, you have to admit.
Imagine if Paul Verhoven (Total Recall, Robocop) produced and directed this film back in '86.
Actually, this movie has huge vibes from Verhoeven.
2:17 is my average passport photo
All those Old people and Immunity. Well Doc welcome back home you completed the quest for us.😅
Do movie clips Once Upon a Time in… Hollywood please?
never saw this movie, even dind't know it existed, but now i've seen this clip i know that DBZ bojak's movie got a big reference from it!
Is it me or on the dvd the stalkers intros are cut short and killians death when flies into a billboard and explodes the recent blu ray seems fine
Sounds like DTS-ES 1:58
Killian knows him well when he said I'll be back the face on Killian said a it all @ 1:40
That,s had to be one of the craziest arnord filmed movie directed by paul michael lol
best scene of the movie...ill be back
Welcome Rotten Tomatoes MovieClips.
I thought it was still Fandango Movieclips.
Only Richard Dawson could pull that off. 😁
Yup. Other actors with no game show hosting experience would have needed to consult actual game show hosts to get it right. Richard Dawson was perfect (even if I never watched family feud at all)
Aw, he didn't give Richards a good luck kiss like he'd do on Family Feud. 😂
This could be a great theme park ride
prophetic film
Cool water slide
Well Ben congratulations you made it
In the book, with his guts spilled out, he crashes a leir jet into the network headquarters
The running man in de best sci fi movie
Hey, ADIDAS I want that suit very bad Arnold has . Running Man suit.
Quill get on down

Ben: I'll Be Back!
You S.O.B!!!
The video that started the Rebrand from Fandango to Rotten Tomatoes.
One of the oddest things is in the credits, who gets credit for the theme song?
Paula Abdul.
I'll be back
I wonder how they turned the ride down through this tunnel system. Anyone know anything?
The runnigggg
I've just had a dream like this one that I was about to be shot down a tube. That is why I am checking this scene out now.
Change the logo back and ending please🥺
Killian M'Barmpot :)
Wonder what speeds the sleds are capable of?
Want a ride on a rocket sled.
This holds up very well as a parody of our sick society.
I’m gonna tell my kids this was the Hunger Games
Wonder how close we are to this in actual society.
@@jeffoneil2217 lol human right do gooders would never permit this
Well there is a UK show called Hunted, they have to evade capture and have the entirety of the UK in which to hide. The hunters have yet to be equipped with chainsaws though…
Literally no one is talking about the new fandango logo in the bottom left corner💀
Would Laughlin sledge of collided with Richards and then Wise's to?
I often thought the same. Especially as you see Laughlin’s sled at 2:14 from Wiesz’s viewpoint (Laughlin went down the tube first at 1:53)
So Rotten Tomatoes took over from Fandango, and they took the music out of the credits...bad choice.
Imagine being framed like that. I would be out for blood, and every single last one of them would have a premature expiration date.
People we are experiencing technical difficulties
1:17 Temple of Dreams by Messiah.
Killian: On your mark, Get Set.
Jack Slater: Killian, I'll be back.
Killian: Only in a reruns. Go!!
(Rocket Sled blast off to the tunnel and Jack ride into the tunnel.)
Ben Richards: Killian, I’ll be back.
Super smash TV.
What happened to Jack Slater (Arnold Schwarzenegger) in this movie? I thought he the cop instead of a prisoner.
