@@FekalistaGrzybowory-lz8lh During the Soviet occupation of Hungary, learning the Russian language in school was mandatory, but nobody bothered too much with it after school. And although the characters do speak Russian, they are supposed to be Georgian, not Russian. The actors should sound like they were speaking the Russian language but they come from a different region than your traditional Moscowite. So these can explain their pronunciation issues, since the average movie watcher at that time couldn't tell the difference in between different accents of the Russian language.

Innkeeper - very good Russian slight accent
Victor - Ed O'Ross - speaks Russian well however with medium/strong accent like saying ludi instead of ljudi (люди - people)
Bandit 1 - Koncz Gabor Hungarian actor with heavy Hungarian accent and broken grammar. (cant pronounce ы pronounces like ü)
Bandit 2 with prostetic leg - Növényi Norbert Hungarian actor, his accent is good, however he's saying only three easy words for Hungarians.

According to Schwarzenegger, when the director and writer approached him for this movie, he did not have a complete script - just a basic premise of a Soviet cop and the scene in which Danko rips off a henchman's leg to discover it is wooden and contains cocaine: you might say the whole movie was built around this clip!

The actor, Ed O'Ross from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania USA, playing the ruthless and dangerous Georgian mobster Viktor Rostavili, his Russian accent is perfect and spot on, making everyone of us believe he is a Russian actor from Russia, but in reality he is an American actor.
He must have studied and practiced the Russian language and accent so hard for the role that it made him look like a Georgian.

I took a computer science class in '97 called Internet Applications and befriended (in retrospect, stalked) a cute Russian brunette, Marina. Graduation was depressing because I knew I'd never see her again. I love the old action cop trope of exposing the hidden cocaine after calling shenanigans on the crooks' BS. This one wasn't bad but I think Stallone may have the best one in Tango & Cash when after the local cops fail to find any coke on a fuel tanker, Stallone shoots it to everyone's horror only to reveal the coke and say "It's snowing"
