One of my favorite runs in Skyrim was a white walker build I did a few years ago. Essentially, it was a two-handed battlemage that specialized in frost magic and reanimating. One of the goals for the run was to get 100% frost resist, which I eventually got with Dukaan from the DB dlc. Before that, I spent 20 or so levels wearing Yngol’s helm and looking like a complete badass all the while. Such fond memories. :)
If you play as a Nord and become a Vampire Lord. Then you can get that amount of Frost Resistance; also if you Master Smithing & Enchanting on top of that. Then wear full Stalhrim Armor with Frost Enchantments. You can get technically beyond 100%.
I think the Gilded Wristguards are great as you find them. The boots of the predators grace actually are a perfect match with the targe of the blooded, that 1% stamina regen basically allows you to constantly power bash with your shield as all it takes to power bash is that 1%. You can spend as long as you want underwater with no issue You can find items with the same enchantment from some merchants I think, but it is very rare. That drop in the Auriel temple is the only one that's certain you can find it I like to add it as a second enchantment to custom enchanted necklaces and the like Or with two ring equipped ability mods
you can equip multiple rings through some glitch. was messing with werewolf transformations (wear ring, transform, transform back, add other ring) it sometimes works and other times doesn't. also applies to necklaces as far as I've seen. (Nintendo switch version)
I often apply the Water Breathing Enchantment to my Follower/Companion's Armor I Craft & Give them as well as applied to my own Helmet/Circlet when I'm not playing as an Argonion.
Speaking of armor, want to know how to make yourself look like Ysgomors statue? Get Nordic Carved armor, and wear the Helm of Ygnol, next time you are busting in the Thalmor embassy, have that armor setup smuggled in with Wuuthrad
to be fair, if you max out smithing, use a good smithing set and drink a smithing potion you can easily push the defense on the armor above what is considered the max threshold for maximum damage reduction, effectively placing it's performance on par with daedric.
I sided with the stormcloaks, helped free Thorald from Northwatch keep, and infiltrated the embassy for information on revived dragons. I don't think the thalmor will invite me back, ever.

Hey I don't know if you know about this or if it's worth covering but the spectral assassin summon power you get from the dark brotherhood quest has several lines he says if he is summoned while u do some dark brotherhood quests. Like if he is summoned while you care going in the other sanctuary to kill Cicero he will talk about having to"kill the betrayer" and stuff and also if he is summoned while you are killing the guards who invaded the sanctuary and set it on fire he will say stuff like "we have to kill the Invaders" and what not. Not sure if there are other circumstances where he says special lines but I got him too during those missions.
Lucien is a big bag of ass. He keeps "defending Cicero" , saying that Astrid is wrong and whatever. "Oh but she stabs the DB in the back during the assassination of the "emperor" " So what? Fuck it. Bussiness is bussiness, and she died in the end. Just like she said, she made it to keep the sanctuary standing and she wouldn't have done it through a bunch of old rules written by some dead woman who is actually a Daedric Princess fucking everyone in the asshole for fun.
Lydia is my shield/wall, but when she gets in my way, weather she is in a doorway, or at High Hrothgar by the cliffs edge, a quick Fus-Ro-Dah puts her pack in line.
Nate I have a fact: If you adopt a child from any hold(i.e, Lucia from Whiterun), then have them live with you in a different hold(i.e, Solitide), and attack them, you won't get a bounty for the hold your currently living in, but the hold the child is from. So if you adopt a child from Honorhall and bring them to Markarth, attack them in Markarth, you won't get a bounty in The Reach but you'll get it in The Rift.
1) I wish they added lightning conductivity to the steam attack. Would make it a lot cooler in my opinion. 2) the predators grace is helpful for vampire characters during daylight hours for stamina regen.
Just got done jogging/walking 5 miles after school. I’m tired as heck. Time to watch some EpicNate after I almost got murdered to death by those 5 miles.
Well, you nailed two of the items my character is currently wearing. I use the Targe and the Boots together, with the frost armor from Grelka - if you have Special Edition she sends you on a quest to Windhelm. I love the Targe it's the only legit attack shield in the game. Just because you use a sword and shield doesn't mean you have to be tank.
@Spencer Rees I can't think of the name of it, but she sends you on a pick up an item from Windhelm. Upon returning, she gives you the armor. If you can't trigger it, look for the mod Cutting Room Floor. It adds back all of the quests, content and triggers that Bethesda removed from the game, but is still in the registry.
I almost always never managed to get "Helm Of yngol" because of the Winterhold's Helm quest by the Jarl. The 30% Frost resist might not sound like alot, but it allows you to have the buff when it's into possible to enchant any helmet with elemental resist. This also works nicely when given to a Norn Character, which raises the frost resist up to 80%...a 5% shy from the Cap but very potent early on.
Part 2: Telvanni Robes (Yes, they are obtainable) Locket of Saint Jiub The Forgemaster’s Fingers Amulet of Articulation Konahrik That’s just what I’d like to see, anyway.
9:45 makes sense if a Thalmor gave the wristguards to Mede. Being ceremonial, they'll be meant to be fashion over function. Also could be a subtle insult: the cheap & easily replaced value could represent the worth of his title, being crap armor represents his vulnerability to the dominion, being more visually pretty than functional represents that he's just a puppet in a fancy robe to them.
You forgot about "Ancient shrouded armor" it's a unique armor variant of the standard dark Brotherhood armor it boosts the standard states to 80%. And the dark Brotherhood armor is my favorite armor in whole game it may not be as tough as heavy armor in game but it suits us assassin gamers that said the dark Brotherhood is my favorite faction and my favorite questline
The two bandits with the shield actually glitched for me and I fought them in the Dawnguard quest line at the blood river dungeon. I thought they were meant to be the as a nod to Harken’s future betrayal or a inside struggle of allowing the Dragonborn to join the clan. I have no idea why they were there but the shield didn’t help my misunderstanding
Nate could you do an updated video on your mods list for Skyrim? The old video's pretty dated at this point, and I'd love to get my game looking this good!
The more I think about it, the more I find it sad that in Sovngarde you can't interact with the people there. I always found that the issue with Skyrim, and the reason many do not consider it an RPG, is that it's designed around Nord warrior playthrough. Yes, you can pick other races, but apart from some small changes in dialogue there isn't much. Most NPCs interact with you with this prism, and I find it a bit sad but ultimately understandable considering the scope of the game. Sovngarde represents the ultimate goal of the Nord warrior - and it's very well done. From the beautiful environment to the unique theme song, it's extremely memorable. Thus it is quite sad that when you enter the Hall of Valor, you can't really do much except pick up a golden cup and an ox head. You're finally meeting Ysgramor, the legendary hero, of whom you wield the axe and who's son's helmet you wear. You're the Harbinger of the Companions, surely there would be some stuff you could chat about, some questions you'd have for him.
azhidal armor and ring from DragonBorn, need also to be covered, i dont remeber if i was the ring but that think was amazing with magial stacks of fire spells
I don't understand why Nate didn't mention the fact that the targe of the blodded's enchantment stacks it's damage and resets it's timer with each hit, meaning you do more and more damage the more you attack.
I always climb up and grab the predator's grace before stepping foot into hags end, you can climb the rock face in a few minutes without shouts. Got them on my most recent playthrough and have even got the first dragon soul.
Out of curiosity, what's the strongest gear (in terms of armor rating) available in vanilla and DLCs? It sounds like the Mizund piece you mentioned is pretty far up there, so are there other unique items within the world (which may need to be improved through workbenches) to beat the Dragonbone and Daedric sets? and I'm talking in terms of the base armor stats, not including enchantments
@@pecal1337 That's kinda the technicalities I was trying to specify avoiding. It is decent, but won't beat Daedric _or_ Dragonbone *unless* you have the full set, which gives 100+ bonus to armor. Individual pieces are actually significantly less than that, barely beating Ancient Nordic....
I always found it funny your channel name was Nate since back in high school a dude named Nate is who introduced me to Skyrim, i knew it released like 2 days earlier but I wasn’t sure about getting it, the stuff he told me convinced me and I’ve been playing es and fallout games to this day
Deathbrand armor is the best light armor and stumps every peice of heavy armor I have. It probably helps that my light armor skill is 100 and heavy is only 76.

Having played Morrowind as my first Elder scrolls I find to amusing that you are impressed by the amount of armor in Skyrim. You don't even have med armor anymore. Still entertaining vid
heyo, I forget the name and location, but Windshear has a companion sword somewhere. It is enchanted, and offers a stat increase when both are wielded together. I do not know if you have covered this, but I cannot find any mention of it in the Windshear video and it is a cool hidden thing.
@Spencer Rees nope, the only prerequisite is being level 30. it has no ties to the golden claw quest and can confirm that as I have yet to even start the Main story and have it on my current character. this TES wiki page confirms this. elderscrolls.fandom.com/wiki/Boethiah%27s_Calling
i just had a thought; is it possible that the sea-ghosts and whispmothers are the same creature, i mean, whispmothers usually are found near water (i think) and they are quite rare, which would make sense if ysgramor wiped them out.
I accidentally fus-roh-dah’ed Asterid in the forgotten shack or whatever so I couldn’t get the unike items from the d.b quest line, and I hadn’t saved beforehand, so I couldn’t go back o before that. So I kept playing normally, and got up to level 53 and had ebony armor, but I couldn’t get the d.b armor so I go to their hide out, kill’em all and take som armor. I can’t enchant it, bugger, and I had to much good gear to reload the save and go back to the past, (and I was in level 53) so I just sat there annoyed that I had wasted the dark brotherhood quest line. So I either go back and lose 32 levels ( and some sick’ass loot), or I continue to play Skyrim normally. So every time I see you’re videos I get reminded of this and get annoyed 😑 and now it’s been a year since this video came out, but I just had to let off some steam.

An extremely useful enchantment for all non argonian players who don't use the water breathing spell
I do use the water breathing spell, but the enchantment is better as you don't have to recast it or keep an eye on time. You can spend as long as you want underwater with no issue
You can find items with the same enchantment from some merchants I think, but it is very rare. That drop in the Auriel temple is the only one that's certain you can find it
I like to add it as a second enchantment to custom enchanted necklaces and the like
Or with two ring equipped ability mods
He featured it as a weapon
@@michellegoede2258 Yeah I only just saw the video he uploaded yesterday including it
you can equip multiple rings through some glitch. was messing with werewolf transformations (wear ring, transform, transform back, add other ring) it sometimes works and other times doesn't. also applies to necklaces as far as I've seen.
Didn’t everyone else think the armor in the trailer was an awesome endgame armor but found out it was crappy iron armor?
to be fair, if you max out smithing, use a good smithing set and drink a smithing potion you can easily push the defense on the armor above what is considered the max threshold for maximum damage reduction, effectively placing it's performance on par with daedric.
The " 5 (whatever) you may have missed" is something you watch while your eating or you're on the toilet.

Santiago Moreira I read this and said wow mean but then I realized I was eating haha
@@Gfp1995 Then you sir are a genius
I sided with the stormcloaks, helped free Thorald from Northwatch keep, and infiltrated the embassy for information on revived dragons. I don't think the thalmor will invite me back, ever.
Man I been in the hospital the past couple days with seizures and I just wanna say you’re videos are the only thing keeping me entertained 💯💯💯 man I wish I could play some Skyrim right now
Top 5 item's in Chillfurrow Farm you may have missed
Well its a very successful business,
Obviously.
The Visage of Mzund is what inspired me to make a character using the Dwarven Centurion as inspiration.
Well well well, would you look at that! Didn't know about those Predator's Grace yet! Thanks a lot Nate! :D
I swear they have been in more than one of his videos
I dont know why but when I was in hags end I just kind of...felt like there was something I was missing. So I started jumping all over the place and then I just found them
You always put so much work into these videos! I love that there's always in-game "footage" of whatever is being talked about at the time
Hey I don't know if you know about this or if it's worth covering but the spectral assassin summon power you get from the dark brotherhood quest has several lines he says if he is summoned while u do some dark brotherhood quests.
6:10 another of Bethesdas typo oofs. Like how paying at a shrine of talos gives you 0% decrease to shout cooldown when it's actually 20%
Lydia is my shield/wall, but when she gets in my way, weather she is in a doorway, or at High Hrothgar by the cliffs edge, a quick Fus-Ro-Dah puts her pack in line.
Nate I have a fact:
If you adopt a child from any hold(i.e, Lucia from Whiterun), then have them live with you in a different hold(i.e, Solitide), and attack them, you won't get a bounty for the hold your currently living in, but the hold the child is from. So if you adopt a child from Honorhall and bring them to Markarth, attack them in Markarth, you won't get a bounty in The Reach but you'll get it in The Rift.
I love how Nate pronounces "...in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim..."!
8:08 the helm of yngol is sooo cool🙆♂️💯😮 the horns, the backstory... Everything!
There's been a dwarven vape helmet in the game this entire time?!
You can find the targe of the blooded shield on a wrecked boat off the shore as well. That’s where I always find it.
I caught this within 1 minute. Dropped everything to watch
Priority goals!
@@EpicNate I love your videos man and I've watched every single one for like the last year!
The ebony mail is my personal favorite. It looks cool and unleashes a poison cloak of protection around you.
Although I like Camelworks puns. That was a funny one.
Appropriately-dressed wrists: the most important element of any formal dress situation! Thank you Nate! XD
The Elder Scrolls 5 is a HUGE GAME.... Where was it? :(
You have literally the best, most detailed videos. I hope you never stop lol
5:10 That shield sure is useful when the player has one single hand
Skyrim is a game of warriors, merchants, thieves and mages.
But is it *_a big game?_*
Part 2:
Telvanni Robes (Yes, they are obtainable)
Locket of Saint Jiub
The Forgemaster’s Fingers
Amulet of Articulation
Konahrik
That’s just what I’d like to see, anyway.
Yngol's Helm has gotta be one of my favorite armor pieces, I just love the look of it
Number one is basically a shiny trophy. Sithis would be proud
The old video's pretty dated at this point, and I'd love to get my game looking this good!
pretty sure he followed predcaliber's guide it almost looks the same
To have collect every unique item in Skyrim, I love so much the armors in this video, it's really cool to play with!

The thing about Sovenguard is even as a Nord it's a place for the dead, so it makes sense that the living can't do much there.
Last time I was this early...
I definitely was more witty
azhidal armor and ring from DragonBorn, need also to be covered, i dont remeber if i was the ring but that think was amazing with magial stacks of fire spells
Guys, a question I always had, when I tried to sell an item the merchant gives me half of the value of the object, why?
You need to level up your speech craft
@Spencer Rees
Man, this is just a *_fucking_* game...
This is why I love the LotD mod. "This belongs in a museum, Rene!" - Indiana Dovakiin
You could call all of the dragon priest masks unique
And useless with the exception of Morokei and Nahkiirin.
There’s also the snow elf armor you can loot off of Gelebor’s brother towards the end of the Dawnguard quest line
“...all you lovers of stealth.” You mean every Skyrim player.
You mean every pussy who plays Skyrim and is afraid of getting an arrow on the forehead*

I don't understand why Nate didn't mention the fact that the targe of the blodded's enchantment stacks it's damage and resets it's timer with each hit, meaning you do more and more damage the more you attack.
5:53 haven't you covered these already?
I love the gilded wristguards, they finally gave me a reason to wear light armor.
Why did you use a steam attack against an ash spawn???
To get em moist
I always climb up and grab the predator's grace before stepping foot into hags end, you can climb the rock face in a few minutes without shouts. Got them on my most recent playthrough and have even got the first dragon soul.
Out of curiosity, what's the strongest gear (in terms of armor rating) available in vanilla and DLCs? It sounds like the Mizund piece you mentioned is pretty far up there, so are there other unique items within the world (which may need to be improved through workbenches) to beat the Dragonbone and Daedric sets? and I'm talking in terms of the base armor stats, not including enchantments
Deathbrand Armor from Dragonborn DLC.
I always found it funny your channel name was Nate since back in high school a dude named Nate is who introduced me to Skyrim, i knew it released like 2 days earlier but I wasn’t sure about getting it, the stuff he told me convinced me and I’ve been playing es and fallout games to this day
I found gilded wristguards somewhere else but i cant remember
I always think Ive found everything with hundreds and hundreds of hours but you make a video and I always learn something
What armor is at 0:33? It’s def a mod or something
Edit: Found it, Spellknight Armor from creation club.. a shame- It actually looks good
Looks similar to the Dawnguard's armour...probably a visual mod.
Deathbrand armor is the best light armor and stumps every peice of heavy armor I have. It probably helps that my light armor skill is 100 and heavy is only 76.
What is the armor at :30 ? 🙏🏻
If you never got an answer, I'm pretty sure it's Spellknight Armor (Creation Club)...know you asked 8mnths ago but just saw, sorry~
What's the armor mod in 0:30? Looks dope.
Can anyone tell me what the armor is at 0:30?
I think it might be from the Dawngard DLC but then again I might be wrong.
IIRC is Spellknight Armor/Creation Club...better late than never~
@@raydressel3741 huh?I havent found it 😶
I always like the visage of mzund but recently thinking about it, it wouldve been so much cooler if it had a specific set the color of the black bow of fate.
*me wearing the visage of mzund* Choo choo!!!
Having played Morrowind as my first Elder scrolls I find to amusing that you are impressed by the amount of armor in Skyrim. You don't even have med armor anymore. Still entertaining vid
Nate: "I butchered the pronounciaton."
Me: "Since when do you care?" 🤔😂😂
heyo, I forget the name and location, but Windshear has a companion sword somewhere. It is enchanted, and offers a stat increase when both are wielded together. I do not know if you have covered this, but I cannot find any mention of it in the Windshear video and it is a cool hidden thing.
Surprised that you didnt mention the Ebony Mail
thats part of a quest you will get on every play through if you make it to like level 20
The mod you use really takes away the nuances and individuality of the faces in the game. The human ones all look the same. Great video, though!
I dont know what you're talking about, the base game didnt have that much "diversity" in faces.
@@XochiCh That's too bad.
@@XochiCh Do u know the name of the mod he's using?
