- Skyrim is an RPG that offers no shortage of armors and apparels for the Dragonborn to suit up in. Indeed, The Elder Scrolls 5 has thousands of different attire options available and scattered throughout the world. However, some outfits and armors are especially rare or otherwise unique, boasting powerful special enchantments or stats and many of them are extremely interesting. So today we’ll be taking a look at my top five secret and unique armors you may have missed in The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim.

I use Lydia as my armor. I mean have you tried to walk past her when she in a doorway? She is impenetrable.
Unrelenting Force vs Immovable Object
Sounds very useful! I just used to shout her off the throat of the world.....
@Hoàng Nguyên Could M'aiq be telling the truth? Followers do just get in the way most of the time, lol.
@Hoàng Nguyên I keep encountering the glitch where Lydia is calling me names like "skeever butt" and "slug breath" so I don't use her anymore. Such a mean housecarl!
@Hoàng Nguyên Apparently there's theories about him being a deadra.
Cloud District guard armor is the most unique armor in TES
*Do you get to the Cloud District very often? What am I saying, of course you don't.*
But I guess we wouldn’t know that, having never visited the cloud district
I've never been their so you can't exactly prove that (but you can't disprove it either)
killed my first Nazeem yesterday, no armor :/
I'll have you know that there's no PUSSYYYYYYYYYY
Tiny Detail:
In Whiterun, the ingredient Nightshade, can only be found at Arcadia's Cauldron (an Alchemy shop) and Whiterun's Hall of the Dead (specifically the Gravestones).
Other than standard fare for an Alchemy shop, this implies that Whiterun citizens plant Nightshade on the graves of their dead.
Carlotta Valentia is a single mother merchant of Whiterun, whose husband has passed away. The Valentia House is the only other location to have Nightshade on its premises in Whiterun, hidden between the wall and the house itself.
With this information, it could be implied that the husband was unceremoniously buried behind the house, almost as if it was done in secrecy.
The Enchanter's Primer secretly tucked away between the dresser and bed, may suggest that the husband didn't leave willingly...
Nate get on this
What is that's where Balgruufs wife is????????????? WHAT IF CARLOTTA AND BALGRUUF WERE MARRIED BUT HE LEFT HER WITH HER DAUGHTER AND SHES SO MAD ABOUT BEING DUMPED SHE HATES OTHER MEN?????
it was Narfi, i just know it
@@andrewtonks5656 possible... But just below the bridge to dragonsreach there's a skeleton... I think baalgruf would have killed his wife there
They didn't plant Nightshade, it grows where there is blood or death. Solitude is teeming with Nightshade, a testament to its bloody history, and the graveyard in Riften also has plenty of the poisonous flower.
I don’t need armor. My elderly weathered hardened skin is the toughest thing you’ve ever felt.
Are you the cook tho
Name’s Nils. I’m the cook up at Candlehearth Hall.
What do you think about when chopping wood your life depends on it
“Name’s Nils! I’m the cook up at Candlehearth hall.”
Ahh, the Mage Armor perk! Good choice
6:10 It says 100% not 1%. It seems that's a small detail Nate has missed in The Elder Scrools V.
The default enchantment only gives it a 1% regeneration rate Idk what he did to get it to 100% but the default is 1%
Yeah I dont know why it shows it being 100%. The enchantment is definitely 1%
I think he enhanced it, cause it's defaulted at 1%
It's the Unofficial Patch which increases it to 100%.

I know, I'll have a dagger and a guard will comment about the warhammer I "have".

You don´t actually have to kill him to get it you can just enter his room without butchering him

"Hey how's it going guys. It's Nate here. And UA-cam is a gigantic website.... ... ... ..."
The Helm Of Yngol is one of my favorite pieces of armor. It's literally a Draugr Deathlord helmet that has its own unique stats probably the only one obtainable in the game.
you can actually obtain Draugr deathlor's armor. I do not know if you need a high level for it or either there's only a certain place you can take it. I remember getting all those armor at a very high level. Or maybe you need to finish the main questline. I don't know. I actually forgot since it's been too long since I last played.
@@chariotsylver7122 theres multiple sets on the ghosts in Forelhost, which is south of riften. Theres a guy pretending to be an imperial (or stormcloak, depending on who you sided with) commander outside. I think thats what you mean maybe

Targe of the Blooded is by far the most visually appealing shield in Skyrim to me. It almost makes me actually want to use shields.

I always have to chuckle when Nate presents a character or item and then shows a highly modded model which sometimes doesn't even look anything like the vanilla model
Missed details in Skyrim:

I do like the Blooded targe, but to say its "hidden" is abit of an overstatement, since you cant avoid finding it as part of the main quest line (i guess unless you sneak past her)
Lol I killed her and just didn’t notice it
I was planning to sneak the first time
Then i see the shield
Lets just say that she vert reluctantly "give" it to me
The first time I played I ran right past it lol
I think the reason the Visage of Mzund is so much better than normal Dwarven armour, is because it is a piece of true Dwemer armour... as in lore all the armour you come across is fake, crafted without the forging technique and by none Dwemer races.
It could also be of immaculate quality, despite its age. After all, the dwarves were pretty advanced, so their armor must've been very strong.
Hoàng Nguyên Actually they aren’t. There’s a book (idk where you can find it) where it states that “Dwemer” simply means “Deep elves”.
They're called dwarves because they had a good relationship with the giants - who nicknamed them dwarves
Who put all the fake Dwarven armor in the ruins then?
@@donnywilliams9494 the same people who lit the candle and put the fruit in dungeons
Those wrist guards should cost a fortune! They're jeweled, and gilded... even if they're not especially enchanted... the materials made to use them, and their previous ownership, should make them very expensive!
It's just the mod he has that makes apparel look betterwhen it's basically just chainmail wristbands and vanilla
He is right they look like shit in vanilla
Mine never look like that.... they look like the nightingale ones
In vanilla its basically the bracers executioners wear.
Yeah, but who would want to risk it? Just having it will make it obvious that you killed the Emporer, or that you are connected the the person who did
Yeah, I'm personally more interested in armors/outfits with unique textures. Unique enchantments that are interesting or useful is secondary. I mean, the player can make far more powerful enchants than those found on the premade gear, but, outside of modding, the only way to look unique is to wear unique gear.
You'd think player enchantments are better, and for the most part you'd be right, but there a lot of hidden effects and effect details that Skyrim doesn't show you.
Predator's grace looks like a really bad piece but that 1% boost is constant, effectively giving you extra stamina and removing the delay on stamina recovery. It's only a !% boost, but it's 1% you can't match with player enchantments.
On the flip side, some perks also aren't fully explained in a more negative manner.
Alteration's "Atronach" perk doesn't absorb 30% of every spells magicka but rather 100% of the magicka from spells with a 30% chance to proc. It can even proc off your own spells, including summons.
Restoration's "Recovery" perk doesn't boost magicka regen by a flat 25-50% but rather boosts your total magicka regen (all gear included) by 25-50%, and requires you to have your weapons/spells sheathed to do so
The Nightingale and Deathbrand armor will always be my favorite I love the way they look and the stats and enchantments.
Yes and it has one of the most unique backstory’s in the game
Hey Nate. It’s a fine day with you around.
One of my favorite runs in Skyrim was a white walker build I did a few years ago. Essentially, it was a two-handed battlemage that specialized in frost magic and reanimating. One of the goals for the run was to get 100% frost resist, which I eventually got with Dukaan from the DB dlc. Before that, I spent 20 or so levels wearing Yngol’s helm and looking like a complete badass all the while. Such fond memories. :)
If you play as a Nord and become a Vampire Lord. Then you can get that amount of Frost Resistance; also if you Master Smithing & Enchanting on top of that. Then wear full Stalhrim Armor with Frost Enchantments. You can get technically beyond 100%.
I used to be a youtuber like you, then I took a copyright to the knee.
Tw1 do you get to the monetized district often? Who am I kidding, of course you don’t.
Never should’ve posted here
Algorithm: My cousin is out their working for Amazon and what do I get, UA-cam duty
You see those UA-camrs from Trending? They have verified checkmarks. Verified. Checkmarks.
But there is one they fear... In their tongue he is copyright!
I think the Gilded Wristguards are great as you find them. Unique in the game and because they are gauntlets, unlike other armour, you can actually see them in first person: they look cool and stand out. Also, because they're unenchanted they can be improved without perks and then with good enchantment and potions you can make them do/be whatever you want. Frankly, because of this I think Bethesda made them like this on purpose.
When he said “nchuak” I thought he had a stroke
I wore the gilded wristguards, the emperor’s robes, pair of fancy boots, and the jagged crown for my wedding. Felt that it worked quite well.
The boots of the predators grace actually are a perfect match with the targe of the blooded, that 1% stamina regen basically allows you to constantly power bash with your shield as all it takes to power bash is that 1%. Most people over look these boots but they can be very useful for shield bashers
"Sit back and relax"... exactly what I needed to hear after hard day in work
I’m pretty sure you’ve never covered this in one of your 10 Tiny Details videos, but if you carry Volendrung (the daedric weapon you receive after completing Malacath’s daedric quest) there’s a chance a guard will say either “Whew. That’s... one big hammer,” or “What do you aim to do with that hammer, my friend? Knock down a house?”
Guard - "What do you plan to do with that hammer friend? Knock down a house"
Dragonborn - Give it to Mjoll and watch her go nuts 😂
Speaking of armor, want to know how to make yourself look like Ysgomors statue? Get Nordic Carved armor, and wear the Helm of Ygnol, next time you are busting in the Thalmor embassy, have that armor setup smuggled in with Wuuthrad
Deathbrand Armor was stupidly good with a level 100 Light Armor skill.
Koby Cossins ah yes, pay to walk
Didn’t everyone else think the armor in the trailer was an awesome endgame armor but found out it was crappy iron armor?
to be fair, if you max out smithing, use a good smithing set and drink a smithing potion you can easily push the defense on the armor above what is considered the max threshold for maximum damage reduction, effectively placing it's performance on par with daedric.
Was hoping to see Gloves of the Pugilist on this list
They're excellent hand items for all the brawls you get into; you can find them on some guy in the ratway warrens
They make unarmed damage 20 points stronger and significantly shorten brawls
They're low carry weight, so I used to get them at the start of the game and just carry them in my inventory, switch to using them when needed then swap back
It's also possible to remove their enchant and destroy the item and apply it to something else
Also not entirely unique but, in the Dawnguard DLC, there will be a circlet of water breathing close to the section of your encounter with Virtha, just hidden around a corner
An extremely useful enchantment for all non argonian players who don't use the water breathing spell
I do use the water breathing spell, but the enchantment is better as you don't have to recast it or keep an eye on time. You can spend as long as you want underwater with no issue
You can find items with the same enchantment from some merchants I think, but it is very rare. That drop in the Auriel temple is the only one that's certain you can find it
I like to add it as a second enchantment to custom enchanted necklaces and the like
Or with two ring equipped ability mods
He featured it as a weapon
@@michellegoede2258 Yeah I only just saw the video he uploaded yesterday including it
you can equip multiple rings through some glitch. was messing with werewolf transformations (wear ring, transform, transform back, add other ring) it sometimes works and other times doesn't. also applies to necklaces as far as I've seen. (Nintendo switch version)
I often apply the Water Breathing Enchantment to my Follower/Companion's Armor I Craft & Give them as well as applied to my own Helmet/Circlet when I'm not playing as an Argonion.
Man I been in the hospital the past couple days with seizures and I just wanna say you’re videos are the only thing keeping me entertained 💯💯💯 man I wish I could play some Skyrim right now

Hey I don't know if you know about this or if it's worth covering but the spectral assassin summon power you get from the dark brotherhood quest has several lines he says if he is summoned while u do some dark brotherhood quests. Like if he is summoned while you care going in the other sanctuary to kill Cicero he will talk about having to"kill the betrayer" and stuff and also if he is summoned while you are killing the guards who invaded the sanctuary and set it on fire he will say stuff like "we have to kill the Invaders" and what not. Not sure if there are other circumstances where he says special lines but I got him too during those missions.
Lucien is a big bag of ass. He keeps "defending Cicero" , saying that Astrid is wrong and whatever. "Oh but she stabs the DB in the back during the assassination of the "emperor" " So what? Fuck it. Bussiness is bussiness, and she died in the end. Just like she said, she made it to keep the sanctuary standing and she wouldn't have done it through a bunch of old rules written by some dead woman who is actually a Daedric Princess fucking everyone in the asshole for fun.

Nate I have a fact:
If you adopt a child from any hold(i.e, Lucia from Whiterun), then have them live with you in a different hold(i.e, Solitide), and attack them, you won't get a bounty for the hold your currently living in, but the hold the child is from. So if you adopt a child from Honorhall and bring them to Markarth, attack them in Markarth, you won't get a bounty in The Reach but you'll get it in The Rift.
Why did you use a steam attack against an ash spawn???

Well, you nailed two of the items my character is currently wearing. I use the Targe and the Boots together, with the frost armor from Grelka - if you have Special Edition she sends you on a quest to Windhelm. I love the Targe it's the only legit attack shield in the game. Just because you use a sword and shield doesn't mean you have to be tank.
@Spencer Rees I can't think of the name of it, but she sends you on a pick up an item from Windhelm. Upon returning, she gives you the armor. If you can't trigger it, look for the mod Cutting Room Floor. It adds back all of the quests, content and triggers that Bethesda removed from the game, but is still in the registry.
You can find the targe of the blooded shield on a wrecked boat off the shore as well. That’s where I always find it.

The ebony mail is my personal favorite. It looks cool and unleashes a poison cloak of protection around you.
Out of curiosity, what's the strongest gear (in terms of armor rating) available in vanilla and DLCs? It sounds like the Mizund piece you mentioned is pretty far up there, so are there other unique items within the world (which may need to be improved through workbenches) to beat the Dragonbone and Daedric sets? and I'm talking in terms of the base armor stats, not including enchantments
Deathbrand Armor from Dragonborn DLC.
@@pecal1337 That's kinda the technicalities I was trying to specify avoiding. It is decent, but won't beat Daedric _or_ Dragonbone *unless* you have the full set, which gives 100+ bonus to armor. Individual pieces are actually significantly less than that, barely beating Ancient Nordic....
You forgot about "Ancient shrouded armor" it's a unique armor variant of the standard dark Brotherhood armor it boosts the standard states to 80%. And the dark Brotherhood armor is my favorite armor in whole game it may not be as tough as heavy armor in game but it suits us assassin gamers that said the dark Brotherhood is my favorite faction and my favorite questline
