Well, it seems Vince McMahon learned something from this failure. One of the core reasons the XFL failed was because it tried to inject more violence into a sport that didn't need any more violence. The new XFL will have no cheerleaders, no two man scrum to determine first possession, and no rules that inspire more violence than the NFL already has. Also, I doubt this league has any wrestling partenerships. Instead, this new XFL is supposed to be a simpler and faster version of the NFL. Here are some of its rule changes Kickoffs come from the 30 yard line. However, all of the players from the kick coverage team start from the receiving team's 35 yard line and the blockers start from their own team's ten yard line. Furthermore, only the kicker and kick returner can move until the kick returner has the ball. This is meant to decrease injuries without turning every kickoff into a touchback. Punting teams cannot use gunners and any coffin corner kick is brought back to the receiving team's 35 yard line. This rule is intended to encourage teams to go for it more on fourth downs. Teams are allowed to throw two forward passes on a play provided that they aren't thrown past the line of scrimmage. The clock moves continuously, except on two minute warnings. Before you think that it makes games too short, know that all the helmets have radios so the offensive coordinator can inform all the players about his play without the need of a huddle. This means that a higher percentage of the game is the players, well, playing football. There is a Sky Judge who reviews all the plays. Even the NFL should have a referee whose sole job is instant replay. And of course, the rule for 1, 2, and 3 point PATs (with one point being a play from the two yard line, two points being a play from the five yard line, and three points being a play from the ten yard line) have been rolled over from the original XFL. It was one of the few things that league did correctly. I hope these rule changes and more can create an entertaining football league

6:59 "You talk about a backfire! You talk about a plan gone bad!" Genuinely one of my favorite announcer calls in football history, and definitely one of the funniest! Whenever I hear of a spectacularly failed, ill-conceived plan, that line's one of the first things that comes to mind. (Even if ironically it probably could have been a really cool trick play had the QB not been literally the only player to know about it.)
The XFL can work out if they do it right. If they make the age limit 18 it could potentially be an alternative for 5 && 4star athletics that want to get paid right away which would be great for the kids && the league. I REALLY hope it works out cuz itd be fun to have.
I think the AAF is doing something similar and unlike the XFL it seems to be competently ran. Once kids realize that the coaching in either is so piss poor that it's impossible to actually get drafted from either they'll just stick with college though. Both are doomed for failure, but at least the AAF is trying.
That would suck for 4 and 5 star recruits though. They would have one year in the XFL but then have to go to the NFL at 19. Not many 19 year olds 5 star of not are physically ready for the NFL.
Probably when a bad Super Bowl happens. This past one wasn't riddled with sloppy play from everyone, the defenses actually played great. Compare that to the Broncos losing 55-10 against the 49ers . . .
Actully it was, its not hard for a defense to look decent when the offences and play calling are ass. i would of rather had that blowout game, at least one team is compitant
If the GOAT can only score 13 points in the most important game of the year, then we know it's a really bad game. The awful Falcons should've scored more than Tom Brady.

The Arena football league. The CFL is actually a respectable league, and people do aspire to be in the CFL. There have been a few CFL players who made it in the NFL like Doug Flutie, Jon Ryan, Mike Vanderjagt...
The thing that intrigues me about the XFL is that it really cared about the experience for fans and players.
The highlight of the new XFL is gonna be Vontaze Burfict bringing a gun on the field like it's The Last Boy Scout
2020 people. It comes back
Can't wait.
Got the AAF coming next year, too.
Jarrad Chapman the aaf starts Saturday
@@thomashiggins232 LOL forgot it was 2019 (The Current Year) for a bit.
Atlanta's team has had a head coach and an offensive coordinator booted before the season began. The AAF is gonna be a shitshow.
It is happening... *_again_*
Who's here after the surprisingly good Day 1 kickoff of the new XFL? #ForTheLoveOfFootball
Me!! Lol they are keeping it simple this time. And the players seem a little better. Plus the new kick off is very smart.
@@brotherLee340 there was even a conversion from a kick-off! NFL must adopt this kick-off so they dont keep to have touchbacks 90% of the time
so. hows that going for ya
COVID-19: I'm gonna end this league's reboot hopes.
@@Nemofishman NO,the XFL (Xtreme Football League) season always better and obviously No more sexy Cheerleader,Bump and Run and Scrambler Ball (Without coin toss) allowed is the best choice to play in 20 years After Global Pandemic of Covid-19 was over. #SBNation
SB Nation: The Only XFL Championship
XFL: *laughs in double forward pass*
Simarbir Gill LOL
this didnt age well
Corona-chan says not today.
And then...
"A blown out tire got it's wish to be human."
LOL poor Vince...
Vince would make the narrator job to the brooklyn brawler if he heard that insult.😂
"Premature but fair" cracks me up every time I watch this
Still better than this Superbowl
No...
@vlastekjo How?
@@jhonlewis5758 Hmmmm let's see a very uncompetitive blowout or a really close defensive battle...
Vlastekjo Rams never had a chance and everyone could tell. They looked like every Florida team between 2010-2017. At least in this XFL game you get the stupid names and some interesting rules even in a blowout.
@@redacted3504 people hated this Superbowl the same reason that hated mayweather fights . People just dont care about DEFENCE like that
That just want see punches thrown. And Other words touchdowns. And it is a shame because defense is exciting if you can appreciate it
The only thing you messed up was misreading “H-Back” as “Halfback”. A halfback is a running back, whereas an H-back is a tight end. These guys were tight ends
The 25-yard punt rule wasn't a terrible idea either - the Canadian game has something similar and it definitely makes kicking more interesting.
6:59 "You talk about a backfire! You talk about a plan gone bad!"
Genuinely one of my favorite announcer calls in football history, and definitely one of the funniest! Whenever I hear of a spectacularly failed, ill-conceived plan, that line's one of the first things that comes to mind. (Even if ironically it probably could have been a really cool trick play had the QB not been literally the only player to know about it.)
Well I guess we can now say at least the XFL had a Championship game unlike the AAF
“They completely botched the field goal, which ended with an interception”. This. This is football.
Both are doomed for failure, but at least the AAF is trying.
it will work if Vince has no control. The use of "X" is the result if the WWF strange fetish for the letter
That would suck for 4 and 5 star recruits though. They would have one year in the XFL but then have to go to the NFL at 19. Not many 19 year olds 5 star of not are physically ready for the NFL.
Good idea, problem is it's Vince so he'll find a way to screw them over in doing so.
It’s back..... and better than ever......
@Survival
It honestly has not been that bad at all from what I've watched.
It would be run into the ground if Bischoff ran it lol
Just Jack somebody got it lol
I can’t believe I was actually there right behind the cheerleaders in mid field good times lol
I love that they brought in/installed a WWE style “Titantron” and pyro for every game!
According to “The 6th Day” XFL is going to be huge here soon.
Harrison McKinney yep
That Vince McMan burn at the beginning is legend !
So... when are you going to update the worst Superbowl???
Probably when a bad Super Bowl happens.
This past one wasn't riddled with sloppy play from everyone, the defenses actually played great.
Compare that to the Broncos losing 55-10 against the 49ers . . .
Actully it was, its not hard for a defense to look decent when the offences and play calling are ass. i would of rather had that blowout game, at least one team is compitant
If the GOAT can only score 13 points in the most important game of the year, then we know it's a really bad game. The awful Falcons should've scored more than Tom Brady.
The defenses didn’t even play all that well. Both definitely played above average, but both QBs missed some receivers, and the right guard on the Rams was basically throwing the game. The defenses are not as good as people are making it out to be
@@sunburner_ray But is it worst than sb20, 22, 24, 48 or are you just butthurt that the Pats won?
Glad you included the sky cam. Because that was something the XFL pioneered that the NFL jacked.
I once had the opportunity to see an XFL game at Soldier Field in February. I was like, nah...I'm good.
And now,The XFLs first week was a success!!!!
It was fun!!!!
The XFL is here now and it’s actually pretty good
Jon Bois is dead on this channel
:(
And now I’m sad
Joey Veloso he died from being too good instead of pretty good
@@biprilly Not that. It was a moment of love from him now back to nothing. I would rather consistent videos on here than 1 doc every couple months. Also, since your asking, I want a big mac meal from Mcdicks, some new sneakers for bball and to not have to reply to youtube comments from a stranger I will never meet.
@@biprilly This channel chooses to not communicate anything on their channel. Hosts come and go and they say nothing. I started watching this back when Jon ran his own channel and all I am saying is he makes a great host and it is annoying that he took a management roll. He is behind the scenes a ton but that don't help me. At least on his own channel I got him.
Where do the best players not quite good enough for the NFL play? Canada, AAF or XFL?
The Arena football league. The CFL is actually a respectable league, and people do aspire to be in the CFL. There have been a few CFL players who made it in the NFL like Doug Flutie, Jon Ryan, Mike Vanderjagt...
0:58 what the hell? I’m from LA and I’ve never heard any locals pronounce it Los Angeleez.
Yeah, it's really distracting.
The Worst Grey Cup? I mean if you're gonna do non-NFL football videos why not the league up north?
McJohnson best and worst please!
Big Daddy 69 > Gronk
We sure they're not the same person? Gronk has that sense of humor.
Big Daddy 69 > literally anybody
Gronk = Big Daddy 89 > You
The thing that intrigues me about the XFL is that it really cared about the experience for fans and players. It may not have been the most well-thought-out, but damn was it interesting allowing players to play more aggressively, choose their own name gimmick and have more flair, and getting the fans more engaged with the action.
I’m a big fan of this narrator. He’s actually really funny. Love the channel and it’s content!
Unmentioned was that announcer and former professional wrestler, Jesse Ventura, was also the current governor of Minnesota. He was not reelected.
Coincidence?
8 is a number.
There are 8 letters in "SB Nation".
Will was on Dorktown sometimes.
Dorktown was Pretty Good.
John Bois hosted Dorktown and Pretty Good.
John Bois is our god.
God has 3 letters.
Boi has 3 letters.
Boi starts with the same letter as Barry Bonds.
So please watch his good video on Barry Bonds thank you
The interviews that everyone in the stadium can hear are just the way WWE does their interviews lol
Maybe the next time Vince McMahon tries to restart the XFL, he should predetermine the winners and apply kayfabe. After all, given the success of WWE, he seems to have a pretty good handle on fake sports. It's real ones he can't be trusted with.
Vince McMahon spent most of the fortune he'd made on the WWF Attitude Era on the XFL. The rest he spent on the failed WWF Times Square Restaurant.
His son Shane McMahon had instead suggested that Vince purchase the UFC, which was struggling at the time and had a very affordable price tag.
That dude giving it back to the fans sounds like a five-pack a day man from age 12. Unfiltered.
Love this channel!!! Keep it up guys
Still to this day the only XFL championship
"and his mic is being fed to the crowd...who would think o doing that?" The answer is Vincent Kennedy McMahon (who I would play the theme music for..But this is a text comment).
6:48 I think teams OUT OF PLAYOFF CONTENTION when they play late games..THIS SHOULD BE A THING
I like how the old xfl had cities such as Memphis, Orlando, Birmingham had teams
I’d actually like to see this league come back.
(With some rules refined it course)
You got your wish :O
...and it f**ked off again...
I was young when the XFL title game happened, but I remember this game being very exciting. A high scoring close game if my memory serves. EDIT: Then I watched the vid and I guess my memory does not serve. I could have swore both teams had high 20s-mid 30s in point totals... huh
😮💨
Accurate XFL (=Xpletive Football League) slogan: It sucked back then, and it sucks forever!
you should do the worst CFL seasons... the 2 years they tried to expand to the US. all the US teams except one were extremely poorly managed. at least two didn't play on fields that were big enough for example, and teams were folding and relocating all over the place. and that one exception? they had to change names before playing a game because they took the name of an NFL team
When starting an alternative football league, Birmingham and Memphis are contractually obligated to have teams
