    • @THEjoelivingstone
      @THEjoelivingstone 6 місяців тому

      Ha! Considering that he knocked up a child, then dodged both the mother and his son his entire life, "kid" might as well be a threat coming from him.
      To be clear: When Karl Malone was in college, he impregnated a 13-year-old girl. He's disgusting.
      Stockton's just a dumb MAGA dude, but he doesn't suck on the same level as Malone.

    I think that their basic problem is that they just weren’t quite good enough. Most of the time they were good for about 55 wins and third to fifth rank in a very deep Western Conference, and while they theoretically could have broken through and won it one of those years, the odds weren’t in their favour. When they got up to 60 plus wins and became more of a true championship calibre team they fell to an historically great Bulls team, in back to back 6 game series.

      their problem is they were kinda overrated...malone was a multi-tier scumbag and a chokeartist who didnt have great post moves for a PF...be 1 thing if itd just been the showtime Lakers keeping them outta the finals during the 80s but that was really only 1 postseason series if memory serves, and the east was the tougher conference during the 80s as well as during most of the 90s....They didnt spend decades losing annually in the playoffs to Magic Johnson or Hakeem Olajuwons teams...They couldnt get to the finals until all the WC teams ahead of them, all of whom except for Houston and the showtime Lakers werent good enough to ever win the championship, declined. Meanwhile they werent able to even extend either of those 2 finals series against the Bulls to 7 games, whereas Reggie Millers Pacers did so in the 1998 ECF 1 rd b4 the Bulls beat the Jazz in 6 games...The Knicks also managed to take the Bulls to a 7th game in 92...The issue with the Jazz was they werent ever that great, and by the time they were in the finals none of their best players were in their primes anymore at all.

Passing was pretty much all he had to his game which therefore made the Jazz offense incredibly predictable. John & Karl had to do a lotta heavy lifting to get em as far as they did. Clyde Drexler points this out. They simply didn't have quality depth like Phoenix and Portland had to go against the Bulls.

    can you guys please do one on Tony Gwynn? He was always considered the Wade Boggs of the National League. He had 15 all-star appearances, seven silver sluggers, five gold gloves, and tied Honus Wagner for the most NL batting titles, including his legendary season in 1994, in which he would have become the first player since Ted Williams in 1941 to achieve a .400 batting average. He also loved the city of San Diego so much, that he was willing to take less money just to stay in his adopted hometown. Despite all of this, he never won the world series, league MVP, and only appeared twice. With all the power and experience the Padres had during this time, I would like to know once and for all, what made Tony Gwynn "Untitled?"

I'll paraphrase what Seth said about Bonds to talk about Gwynn, "You are limited to 1/9 of the at bats and can only field balls hit your way. Technically, Gwynn could have batted 1.000 his entire career and never won a game let alone a World Series if the rest of the bats or pitching don't perform"

    History appreciates players' loyalty to a team and the legacy they leave behind more than what players think. Professionals today put so much on the benefits of winning a ring. Winning a ring is amazing, but the way in which you go to achieve it means so much more, win or lose. Malone and Stockton left a such an amazing impact at Utah. Anytime someone mentions the Jazz it cannot be done without saying something about Stockton and Malone. All without a championship! This proves that a title can be overrated. They are amazing players who did not diminish their name by going off somewhere else to win a championship (yes Karl Malone did, but 1 or 2 years at the end of a career aren't enough to really diminish their brand). I wish players today would be more concerned about being a franchise player with a retired number and HOF career than just leaving a team to go win a ring. I don't think players realize that the more they go from team to team in an attempt to win a title, the more they ruin their own legacy and how they will be remembered.

    Stockton is the most underrated Hall of Famer in history.
    At best, people call him the greatest passer in history….which he is. However, a lot of people disagree with that FACT.
    He is also a severely underrated scorer. That’s the case solely because he was the best team player in history too. Because of that, he followed every instruction his coach gave him…..which was, pass to Karl Malone.
    Side note, the only reason he didn’t win a championship was…..Karl Malone (who was slightly overrated). Yes, he’s a HOFer. However, as this video laid out, he was also a terrible free throw shooter, and even more importantly, choked under pressure…especially in the playoffs.
    Whenever Malone wasn’t looking at the underaged children in the crowd, he was a slightly overrated all-time great. (Sorry, but it has to be said whenever Malone’s name is mentioned).
