@@ElvisLass35 in 1959 my father was serving in the British army, the royal east Sussex, imagine his surprise when there sitting outside a street cafe` was Elvis himself, fortunately my father had his camera with him and so he approached Elvis and introduced himself and asked Elvis for his autograph, Elvis obliged and while Elvis was signing his name my father took the photo. Dad recalled how very humble Elvis was , a truly beautiful soul the likes of which will never be seen again

Baz Luhrmanns has invested a lot of power in the film and you can't forget that. Before he made the film.He asked many close friends and relatives how he was and that's what the film ended up being. WOW.... from what I can tell from this trailer, I believe this will be the best movie by far that chronicles and expresses the true LEGEND, SPIRIT, AURA and MAGIC that is Elvis Presley. I believe this movie will create a multitude of new fans who will be inspired to the core of their being, when they realize the true essence and magnificence of this human and cultural phenomenon that changed the world forever.! I loved it Michelle I’ve seen it 4 times there won’t be a dry eye in the theatre I have total chills!! Austin I think is going to be a great Elvis he’s going to be iconic. It looks fantastic! I was surprised to hear Unchained Melody. OMG! This could finally be the big time movie that does Elvis justice, and gets more people interested in him and his music. I can't wait to see it! (Tom Parker/Tom Hanks did sound strange though).

I think Baz has got this movie on the exact tract it needs to be. It feels like he is telling Elvis' story from the beginning. He's touched on many pivotal moments from his career just here in the trailer. No actor was going to look or sound just like Elvis. The historical content his story needs!! I think if you forget the fact that he doesn’t look like Elvis you will enjoy it a lot more in my opinion that’s what you will have to do and just concentrate on the actual story and the history that goes with it . Carnt wait to see it 👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👍

This is gonna be 🔥! Finally a portrayal that just might capture his swag, vibe and essence. That is the key to something believable. No one will ever look like Elvis Presely AND capture the nuances of that cat. So if Austin Butler pulls that off it will be the best portrayal of the king ever. As Elvis used to say, "My boy, my boy." Its gonna be hot!
I was looking for a true Elvis fan's reaction. Watched it over Zoom with my mom and she cried. The "I'm gonna be 40 soon, and nobody is gonna remember me" line even made me tear up. It looks wonderful. Even better than I could have hoped for. Can't wait.

Totally Amazing! Very Touching!! I started crying. Austin Butler looks so good as Elvis. Tom Hanks is one of my favorite actors, unfortunately I'm going to hate him in this film. I love how Baz edited this trailer, he really showed Elvis from all different perspectives. I can't wait to see it. WOW!! It looks very respectful to Elvis. @@ElvisLass35 Why I despise Tom Hanks. If you watch Elviss Fans Matter, Billy Smith shares Elvis' values. Elvis dod not hang with people who were radicals. He hung out with few stars. Tom Hanks has become very political, hating on every value that I have and Elvis had. Hanks did not care how much he offended the conservatives here. Elvis is definitely a conservative.I have no time for someone who has no good thing to say about people like me.And bless your heart is how we say it in the South, Elvis' South.
I think Baz Luhrmann has captured the story pretty perfectly from what I can see in this trailer. From the criticism in the beginning; to Elvis wanting to perform live again; to his outlook on what was going on in our world during MLK; to Las Vegas, and touching on the 70's. And it's only the trailer. I'm looking forward to the complete movie! I agree with you. I was born 1950. Our parents took us to a lot ‘Hayrides’.They had a revolving stage. I remember that fascinated me. Daddy had me sitting on his shoulders when the stage revolved 180 and there he was! That’s when I realized there was something big going on here. My Mama and her sister started screaming running towards the stage. I had never seen my Mom act like that. Wow! I cherish that memory. Then my girls came along. I made sure they got their Elvis die hard Elvis fan. To this daycan remember the jacket was a very shiny pink. I got so excited seeing Elvis , I near fell on my head from Daddy’s shoulders. “Go on down there with your Mama. Elvis was so beautiful I couldn’t stop staring. His skin looked flawless, almost translucent.
Made 30 plus movies, sold over a billion records Worldwide (Guiness WBR), definitely not underrated with his still huge fan base. With the haters and jealous crowd agree!
@@speedracer2336 I love Elvis but he definitely doesn’t get the recognition he deserves today. Younger people don’t think of him as a superstar. He’s just a name to them. Hopefully this movie will bring him to a new audience
@@tcbmonkfish my younger relatives only know the Beatles and rolling stones by name also, including Michael J., don't know their music. I get your point tho, I make sure they know Elvis and his importance. Without him rock would never have been mainstream, and no Beatles, Stones, MJ.
Gotta say this looks amazing!!! I’m still taking it in, seen it three times now, it’s better than I thought!!! How Baz recreated certain iconic photos and camera angles, I’m in awe at the moment lol, only criticism is colonels accent, can’t see anything woke about this!!! Hope it is true to Elvis? Yeah I thought parkers voice wasn't that foreign I will be watching this over and.over Austin does.look good and.as ya say no-one will come close as beautiful as Elvis.
The trailer shows the entertainer side of Elvis that we all know and love, what I want to see is his human side that shows who he really was as a person. That's what previous movies really never captured and we only found out after his passing what burdens he carried to the end. The image was one side while the human being was the other side we never saw in his life. TCB
I got the human side from it too to be honest, Elvis talking about how he feared no one would remember him, Martin Luther King dying, showing him and his dad hug eachother on graceland steps there's some humanity there I'm sure there'll be more .TCB X

And especially when it comes to Elvis i have read and seen too many superficial, unfair, and presumptuously judgmental opinions, so I guess I'll have to see the whole movie before I can really say YESSS 🙂👍🏻 At least now i'm looking forward to it.

I was so moved at how it tapped into Elvis' sadness. Sadness at being trapped in those hokey movies, sadness at being passed by the Beatles, sadness of not being able to play in "A Star is Born". And you can hear it in his singing. I loved watching your reaction video. So heartfelt.

Got me choked up too and I'm a 63 year old guy. From the "comeback special " on it really looks like The King. can't wait. PS: notice the yellow lightening bolt young Elvis wore, that was supposed to be the source of the "TCB" logo (true or not).

First I love your reaction. Can't agree with you more. Austin has done amazing. He may not look a lot like Elvis but what is most important, is that he embody Elvis' mannerisms and character, and wow, I have not seen anyone do that better. I was moved during the teaser for the trailer several days ago, when I noticed when Austin (Elvis) was shaking his hips, with black suit and red tie (in 1956 era) and I saw DJ Fontana's drums. Well, I was moved and became emotional when I saw the bass drum, sounds insane. When I used to look at pics of Elvis from the early years on Ed Sullivan etc. I would always become fixated on DJ Fontana's bass drum head. It looked like there was a silouett of a prehistoric animal on the bass head possibly, or maybe it had a partial tear of the head, or some funky graphic, but my best guess was that it was a cowhide cover, but still don't know. I was moved when for a split second I caught the recreation of that funky drum head on the trailer teaser. Why was I moved, I thought to myself. Well, Baz recognized it too and cared enough to recreate it and use it when 99.9 percent of the people would not have even noticed anything about the drums. Also, that he cared enough to go through that small detail, when most of these other Elvis movies showed almost no care, concern, or respect in telling the story they were attempting about Elvis. Also, the fact that Baz was recreating the visual world almost to perfection, and cared about these small details, made be think that if he cared about DJ Fontana's drum head, then he would absolutely care about getting the details to Elvis' story correct.

When you can humanize someone like Elvis who became larger than life you create the opportunity to really play on the strings of emotion. I hope this movie achieves that. Elvis meant a lot to alot of people over generations.
I loved it, it's very emotional, it gives you many feelings, Austin Butler gave an incredible performance in each of his scenes, it gave me goosebumps..

I became emotional as well, I have been a huge Elvis fan since 1973 when I was 7. I grew up listening to him on 45's and watching his movies on T.V. and even imitated him in the mirror in my bedroom whilst listening to those records. I almost got to see him in 1977 at his last Indianapolis, IN concert which I believe was his next to last ever but my mother couldn't get tickets. Since then I have become a lover of his early Sun Records days, the Louisiana Hayride and his rise in 1956. I also have become a bit of a Elvis historian and I did finally got to Graceland in 2017 to pay homage to him at his graveside. You are right, Elvis deserves this, his family does, his fans do and so does the world who doesn't yet know him, or the real him that we all know and love...!!!!! I cannot wait for 06.24.2022
Oh,Michelle, this was just too much.This is Mrs.Ace X, writing for the both of us.Elvis. singing Unchained Melody still has me in tears. We just love Elvis way too much for this not to overwhelm us.My husband says that anything that Warner Brothers does is always the best, top notch.I sure do look forward to seeing Elvis on the other side.I am so happy that Elvis knows that we are thinking about him and that he feels all of our love.Elvis was super talented but I love him most for being the human being that he was.I am sure that he is every bit the same in his greatness now in spirit. Thank you so much Michelle for posting this for all of his fans.As Ace says thank you for TCB with TLC to all of Elvis fans. It's sad that we are still mourning his death but we love him so much. I honestly cannot stop watching this trailer. Elvis deserves to have his story told correctly. And believe me it hit me hard when I heard Elvis singing Unchained medley. It took me right back to 2019 at Graceland when I was standing in his racquetball building....and he played piano the last time before he died. I was an emotional wreck. I cannot wait for this

Elvis needs the truth about him as human and his unbelievable life history. Hope we could see it at last though Elvis is so measureless, deepest that it isn't possible to show him in one film. AND, CONTROL, CONTROL, CONTROL. HE IS GONE, AND I STILL CANNOT STAND HIM. ELVIS WOULD HAVE MADE IT TO ANY HEIGHT THAT HE WANTED TO ACHIEVE. Tom Parker was actually Dutch, so Hanks is using a Dutch accent to play him.

I was looking for a true Elvis fan's reaction. Watched it over Zoom with my mom and she cried. The "I'm gonna be 40 soon, and nobody is gonna remember me" line even made me tear up. It looks wonderful. Even better than I could have hoped for. Can't wait.

I agree with you. I was born 1950. Our parents took us to a lot ‘Hayrides’.They had a revolving stage. I remember that fascinated me. Daddy had me sitting on his shoulders when the stage revolved 180 and there he was! That’s when I realized there was something big going on here. My Mama and her sister started screaming running towards the stage. I had never seen my Mom act like that. Wow! I cherish that memory. Then my girls came along. I made sure they got their Elvis die hard Elvis fan. To this daycan remember the jacket was a very shiny pink. I got so excited seeing Elvis , I near fell on my head from Daddy’s shoulders. “Go on down there with your Mama. Elvis was so beautiful I couldn’t stop staring. His skin looked flawless, almost translucent.

The trailer shows the entertainer side of Elvis that we all know and love, what I want to see is his human side that shows who he really was as a person. That's what previous movies really never captured and we only found out after his passing what burdens he carried to the end. The image was one side while the human being was the other side we never saw in his life. TCB

First I love your reaction. Can't agree with you more. Austin has done amazing. He may not look a lot like Elvis but what is most important, is that he embody Elvis' mannerisms and character, and wow, I have not seen anyone do that better. I was moved during the teaser for the trailer several days ago, when I noticed when Austin (Elvis) was shaking his hips, with black suit and red tie (in 1956 era) and I saw DJ Fontana's drums. Well, I was moved and became emotional when I saw the bass drum, sounds insane. When I used to look at pics of Elvis from the early years on Ed Sullivan etc. I would always become fixated on DJ Fontana's bass drum head. It looked like there was a silouett of a prehistoric animal on the bass head possibly, or maybe it had a partial tear of the head, or some funky graphic, but my best guess was that it was a cowhide cover, but still don't know. I was moved when for a split second I caught the recreation of that funky drum head on the trailer teaser. Why was I moved, I thought to myself. Well, Baz recognized it too and cared enough to recreate it and use it when 99.9 percent of the people would not have even noticed anything about the drums. Also, that he cared enough to go through that small detail, when most of these other Elvis movies showed almost no care, concern, or respect in telling the story they were attempting about Elvis. Also, the fact that Baz was recreating the visual world almost to perfection, and cared about these small details, made be think that if he cared about DJ Fontana's drum head, then he would absolutely care about getting the details to Elvis' story correct.

When you can humanize someone like Elvis who became larger than life you create the opportunity to really play on the strings of emotion. I hope this movie achieves that. Elvis meant a lot to alot of people over generations.

I became emotional as well, I have been a huge Elvis fan since 1973 when I was 7. I grew up listening to him on 45's and watching his movies on T.V. and even imitated him in the mirror in my bedroom whilst listening to those records. I almost got to see him in 1977 at his last Indianapolis, IN concert which I believe was his next to last ever but my mother couldn't get tickets. Since then I have become a lover of his early Sun Records days, the Louisiana Hayride and his rise in 1956. I also have become a bit of a Elvis historian and I did finally got to Graceland in 2017 to pay homage to him at his graveside. You are right, Elvis deserves this, his family does, his fans do and so does the world who doesn't yet know him, or the real him that we all know and love...!!!!! I cannot wait for 06.24.2022

I honestly cannot stop watching this trailer. Elvis deserves to have his story told correctly. And believe me it hit me hard when I heard Elvis singing Unchained medley.
