A lot of fans criticized this film long before we knew anything about t which is a shame. Fortunately , it looks great and has lots of good buzz. Let’s hope it’s a smash hit and does very well. This film has a chance to have a major impact in regards to Elvis’ legacy. I’m excited for it.
People still criticize it but there will always be haters. I say good riddance I don't want your negativity around the theater anyway. I think it is simply perfection

If your a true Elvis fan it will affect you in a positive way. Elvis's emotions were very deep as was his singing of his songs. Elvis gave his whole heart and soul to singing to his fans. His fans meant everything to him. Great reaction miss Lass.
The detail in every scene seems so authentic (to my eyes and I have watched hundreds of hours of Elvis). The Colonel was a business man first and no doubt very good at what he did; I do respect the man. But, I am not always comfortable with what he said to/about Elvis.
I think this film will win Austin Butler an Oscar . I’ve watched so many trailers over and over again and every time I get goosebumps . Austin is telling the story of a legend . Big boots to fill but I think from what I’ve seen, he’s done a bloody good job. Can’t wait to see the 🎥 🍿🎥🍿🎥

This film promises to a blockbuster. The obvious bias creeps in as a lifelong fan but the door will be kicked in for a new generation of followers and renew the appreciation of fans of old.

I am over the top with excitement and counting the days ! ! ! This shows Parker as I believe him to be ! ! ! He was about the deal and sales of Elvis .....he never saw the artistic side of Elvis and the talent that made Elvis the world wide star he was ! ! ! Elvis made Elvis ! ! !
Born in 1944 I saw it all and if you think that this movie is exaggerated you are wrong. Motor cycle gangs would show up at his concerts to get him. Men would walk up to him and ask for an autograph and punch him in the face. My own father said he was lewd. Years later my father watched his movies. Media lied about the amount of records he sold they played down his popularity. But because he was such a great humanitarian, there is an Elvis statue in every major country in the world.
I think this along with the good feedback from his family has me even more hopeful

I feel like this movie is gonna be amazing!!! Just seeing the respect and the love for this film makes me so happy and after hearing Priscilla and Lisa’s thoughts on this movie about Elvis’s story being done justice makes me very happy.

@@ElvisLass35 I think what has always been so impressive to me as an Elvis fan is how hard we and Elvis' family work to protect his image and perpetuate his legacy working in tandem with one another. And the fact that his family is proud and in tears over this movie speaks volumes....!!!!!!

It looks amazing! I've heard a lot of people say that Austin doesn't look like Elvis. But as you said Michelle, Austin captures Elvis's style and we have to use our imagination a little and understand that no-one could be the real Elvis, for anyone here now to look and sound exactly like him, and at the same time have the exact same personality is impossible. There's only 1 real Elvis.
But in my honest and humble opinion, the people who portray him in concerts, movies etc, are absolutely brilliant for the younger generation (like myself) to experience and be inspired by Elvis's music and music style, and then diving into Elvis's legacy. So this movie seems fantastic and it certainly looks like it's telling the story of Elvis and his life (as a biopic should 😂), and that part of the movie that shows Elvis's life story is going to be so pivotal in creating more Elvis fans around the world I think. And Elvis's legacy will live on forever!
Sorry for this long comment, but I just feel so excited right now!I can't wait to see the movie, and I can't wait to see if there's new young people who know little about Elvis who might watch this and then be inspired and go on the Elvis journey and discover his legacy! TCB⚡

We have to look past the voice, accents, Austin singing. It's about showing ELVIS'S story! I'm hoping it does so well in the box office there's an ELVIS part 2 that shows Aloha from Hawaii and then some properly. Show his generosity and kindness with his charities etc. Big shoes to fill and Austin got his moves down. I'm positive and excited TCB ⚡👑🎶❤️

One worry I have is that in trying to portray Elvis's natural swagger, it can look like cockiness if you're not careful.
Elvis was never cocky or a try hard. He always spoke with manners in a soft tone. Hope they don't forget that.
But the more I watch the more I realize how BIG Austin's job was. It's not easy portraying someone so unique.

I think the only other person who would be intimidating famous people to play would be Marilyn Monroe and even that’s not even close to the job level Austin Butler’s difficulty is to playing Elvis which is clearly evidenced by the fact that people have tried to play Elvis since 79 with Kurt Russel who is the best of a lot of bad which is saying a lot because he & Jonathan Rhys Meyers from the 2003 mini series aren’t exactly slouches when it comes to acting but Meyers said Elvis was the hardest role he ever played and he is an actor known for accents that said trying to sound even a little like Elvis is one of the most difficult things he’s done in his career.
Elvis was shy but very confident in his craft. He could move a room without saying a word. I think this is gonna be a phenomenal movie!
This kid did his research. I see no cockiness in this at all. Only Elvis. Literally. Lisa Marie said Austin is perfect. That is the highest praise I need

Oh , this is the Elvis I remember from my youth ... the symbol of rebellion , the object of scorn from the adults , the beautiful boy that made us all practically drool with delight ! Love that this new trailer has added additional characters from his life ... Col. Parker's portrayal does seem to be more calculating and sinister . I can't wait for this movie ... thank you so much , Michelle , for your love for Elvis . I only wish everyone could have lived in his lifetime to know how exciting he really was ! Yes, a couple of actual clips from On Tour!! Love the footage from quite far back, Elvis from the back and all of those cameras flashing. I was at work today and someone mentioned Elvis and Everyone around the area said, "yes i'm going to see that film!!" I cannot wait!! X

I work in the Sydney CBD. This morning on my way to the office, I waited for a tram to pass before crossing, and the double carriage was completely covered by all three Baz Luhrmann Elvis posters. City workers received an eyeful of Austin as Elvis to relieve the drudgery of the morning commute. It’s getting quite the publicity here
This movie is incredible!!! I’ve seen it twice already. I plan on seeing it more. I really hope the younger people will go watch it and understand what he did to change the world. How important he really was to todays world

I am just so excited! I can’t understand some of the nitpicking! Yes, there are inaccuracies, but they are clearly choices and not mistakes from what I’m seeing. Trouble is the perfect thematic choice, even if it wouldn’t have been performed.
It all looks incredible! Austin is sensational! There are so many moments when he’s just so Elvis, like the facial expression you mentioned!
Can't wait to to see this movie now I've had keep rewinding it a couple of times there's so much in it I hope they show Elvis having fun and his generous nature thanks for sharing Michelle

I love it and the guy playing him looks a lot like him but there’s something missing the corner of his mouth❤️❤️❤️❤️
The critical moment included in this trailer not included in the last was that scene where he's clearly in high school or among his own teen peers before he became the first ever global superstar when he was the social outcast and the victim of extreme bullying, once even destroying his beloved guitar he brought everywhere lost in a world of music that no one his age understood because he was so far, far, far ahead of those his times especially the 50s but let's get real, Elvis wasn't just ahead of his times he's ahead of ours.
Of course no one will ever be Elvis but the respect, love, and appreciation for Elvis the man and Elvis the myth has already won me over but I am probably going to be most critical of the portrayal of he and Priscilla because this movie should not portray the two as is they're soulmates/true loves who only ever loved each other.
I'm not saying they didn't love each other but he had other loves as everyone knows like Ann Margaret & Linda Thompson whom he loved both deeply & we'll never know what would have happened had he lived but he was engaged to Ginger when he died which is undisputed so I don't want to walk away from this film with the feeling that it made it seem like they were June Carter & Johnny Cash because that is simply not the truth.
Thanks, just want to say that I know you are a wonderful, dedicated admirer of Elvis to the bone. There are many such wonderful fans here.

I think you must have the patience of a saint when responding to the know it alls, negative people, the ones who think they are the last word on Elvis and have some kind of ownership of him. Also, the ones who take it upon themselves to hate persons who were in his life seemingly on his behalf. Again, the patience of a saint.

Did you know Warner Bros. bought James L. Dickerson's book about the eccentric life of Colonel Tom Parker in 2018? It describes him and his life and ways in detail from cradle to death, so it's not flattering. There are hints from the book in the trailers, which gives hope😊.

this new trailer just confims my original thoughts. Austins singing voice is great and conveys the essence of elvis without being an outright impersonation. Wonder if they wiill take the story up to 1977 and all the issues he had then that contributed to his passing ? Well , weve only a month to go until we find out. Love the reaction, We saw this movie in theaters on my brother's birthday, cause he's a huge Elvis fan. The movie was fantastic, Almost shed a few tears during the movie. I, for one, will be able to look past the lack of similarities in looks, songs, and Colonels accent. Would you really want Elviss voice coming from Austin? I wouldn't. I am hoping the Aloha sections of the film were purposely left out of the trailer to generate discussion and build anticipation. It was a significant Elvis achievement and the film will need to touch on that part of his life.
I really hope so but, to be honest, I don't think we'll see it. Maybe for the seventies they focused most on his Las Vegas engagement 🤷🏻♀️
Hello Michelle I've just watched that new trailer of the king new Elvis movie about the king 👑🤓👍 it's Looks fantastic Michelle it's going be brilliant I will be glad when we. All seen the full movie 🍿 then we can talk about I think I'm gonna be going to see the movie Loads of times I think I've it will be ok I've heard that Lisa Marie Presley as seen the movie twice she said Loves butler guy Looks a Little bit when he's wearing the jumpsuit in 1970 yes I've got a feeling now us proper Elvis Presley fans will Love this film about our king Elvis I'm going to see it in chesterfield Cineworld cinema first and then all the country I think I've told.
