- EXPLORE AMITYVILLE ABANDONED HOUSE OF HORROR... This abandoned home in Alton, Illinois is full of stuff left behind. It almost turned into an urbex gone wrong experience. We found tons of personal belongings, musical instruments and clawfoot tubs and old sinks. I almost got sick from the putrid smell of urine in this house. We also found a mummified cat in a dresser drawer. If you like exploring the most haunted towns and places, you will love this video. Alton, Illinois is an old haunted river town full of ghosts. It has been slowly dying for years as a declining rust belt town. This was one creepy experience walking through this barn style home. This house was definitely frozen in time and one of my top favorite abandoned homes.

I was over in Alton yesterday bro! as i came across the bridge I was thinking "oh yeah I need to check in and see if tony has put anything up" I miss seeing the blue windmill. I know you mentioned Alton boxboard before.. Lots of neat history over there. Thanks as always

That was a beautiful home back in the day. Looks like there was a different mix of people living there. With all the rooms inside the house, I wonder if they were being rented out.

What Amityville house is this? It is not the actual Amityville house as that one sold in 2017 for 605,000 to a guy named Brian Wilson (not the beachboys guys) and I really doubt the house has went that far down hill in 4 years.
