    They aren't Tesla coils. They are either Marx or Graaff impulse generators. They generate 2-3 million volt electric arcs, which are used to test "diverter strips" in fibreglass aircraft body panels.
    Diverter strips are intended to avoid lightning bolts from damaging the body panels.

      Now the BBT theory is a General Relativity theory so if you don't accept the BBT then you don't accept GR or SR. That would mean that your GPS device work on some other theory because both GR and SR make GPS work. The theories of relativity have been around for a lot of years and they work extremely well. Of course they aren't the end of the road, as in all science it is always a work in progress. So, do you accept that your GPS works? If so then GR and SR work. And therefore the BBT is correct.

    There is no reason there should be radiation if it's not running and powering a device that produces x rays, proton beams, or whatever. That is an impressive facility, would love to see it operating. Must have generated many megavolts. A Marx generator is possibly the circuit used. Great for making lightning like arcs.

      @@stevef.5197 Actually, I've later been looking into this. Turns out they had Graaf as well as Marx generators at that facility. So could be either.
      Difficult to see the difference, would need closer images to ascertain. Both can look very similar, obviously a Graaf would need the dynamic band somewhere in the center.
      Some sources mentioned at this site had been a 3 MV Graaf & a whopping 9 MV Marx. Haven't found any documentation, though.

    • @stevef.5197
      @stevef.5197 4 роки тому +1

      @@thefreedomguyuk I'm not familiar with the Graaf, is it the same as a Van de Graaff generator? It's been decades since I built pulsed power generators, so I may not remember everything. The Marx generator was always fun, generates EMP. 9 Mv is respectable.

    • @thefreedomguyuk
      @thefreedomguyuk 4 роки тому +1

      @@stevef.5197 Yes, took the liberty of abbreviating the van de Graaf name.
      Am in same situation, have not been practising for decades.
      I found some pictures of the facility, and upon scrutinising them, it appears as if there are 2 Marx generators and one van der Graaf, all three of them next to each other.
      Seems like there are a few Tesla coil towers at the perimeter of the facility.
