He says to turn the key to the crank position but I think he means the accessory position.

How do you remove the cylinder if you can't the key into the ignition?

You have to remove the entire ignition assembly including removing the airbag and steering wheel.

if the key does not turn the cylinder, try some WD40 in the ignition and tap on the top of the housing with a small hammer or wrench or something while trying to turn the key. It worked for me, even though I tried all week to turn the key. Even tried a new key.

I could not get mine to turn,even tapping it with hammer. I put a big visegrip pliers on the cylinder - that worked!

Was yalls just not wanting to turn on when cut off ,and you had yo like jerk the wheel

I don't know if you answer or read the comments, but I have a question. On 2007 Saturn Vue can you just buy a new ignition and put it in and it will start the vehicle up without it messing anything up. Or do they have to be retumbled so to speak. I know the keys won't work in doors but that's ok I can use the old keys or fob for doors
