I did not know that and I thank you sir. I have a Ford and don't know how I got to your video but I'm glad it was short so I stopped to watch it. Great little to know item. I used to drive towtruck when I was younger and I had the lockout kits so I'm always curious 😁😁.
I used a ball peen hammer to beat the key lock housing to pieces. After it gave up the ghost, I was able to turn the mechanism and release the steering wheel no problem. Did I fail to mention this was on a junk yard vehicle?
Question fellow UA-camrs my key will not turn in my 98 Blazer and in order to change out the cylinder you have to be able to turn the key I have tried literally every thing possible to turn it including turning the steering wheel which is locked and I already know that trick wiggling it back and forth tapping it with a hammer which did work once but then I accidentally turn the freaking truck off all the way any ideas?
Had similar problem with 02 explorer key got stock because of low battery and there’s a pin that’s holds the shift level and once you put it to n the key turns
I had it partially fixed a while back but the problem is back i think one of my pins in the ignition is broken because i cant put my key in only like the tip other than that something is stopping it from letting me put the key in, any ideas
going to yelp alot.u no maybe my truck wont start and i have no yump yox so ok i ywant take that guys truck over to other street but i dnt take his key yet.ok.good ya?

@@GlennLetteerdo you not need to turn the cylinder? I have an 03 Buick regal that was parked at my moms for about a year due to a suspension issue, I’m not needing to drive the car and she’s lost the key. It won't work because without the key in the ignition the tumblers will be sticking out blocking it from pulling out so this is totally bogus
