@UCnN7CS5q3Z7WQD5VDn5ttNw that’s almost impossible to quantify arbitrarily to make suggestions. This video covered 75-80% of the information individuals need to pick their intellect stat, the rest comes from personal experience and some stat tracking. Where he recommends a range, let’s say 40-60 intellect; if your stat tracker in discord or destiny 2 elo sites state that your highest kill weapon is a primary, then that bit of player behavior can give those the insight to opt for 40 intellect in oppose to 60 because of their main weapon usage. If it’s a special like a sniper, or shotgun? Then opt for 60 because like you said; they would be more engaged in combat and may trade or die after making aggressive play. The only time dying and respawning should be more heavily considered is during iron banner where respawns are prolonged. Players who camp in the back will garner the benefits of staying alive but not as much in receiving damage and finishing kills in certain scenarios, so campy play styles though a viable strategy has its downsides as well. The structure overall is well thought out and for every positive there is a counterpoint.

So taking this info, I think on Titan, playing mid or bottom Sunbreaker with Ashen Wakes might be an incredibly strong build: - Ashes to Assets give 30 units per kill accord to Castle, and Ashen Wakes is a 130 instant splash damage grenade that refunds on kill. - Fusion grenades are now one of the fastest cooldowns at 28 seconds at T10 Disc, meaning whiffing a grenade is one of the least punishing of the choices. - Burning Maul is a T3 super, which is one of the fastest super options for Titans right now. Bottom tree Sunbreaker has a perk that heals you on every ability kill and leaves a sunspot, though it's super is a T1. Basically just run around with any weapon that can chunk at least 70ish damage per shot, so you can shoot then grenade for 3x the super gain reward per kill, and still have a grenade up for the next enemy. I don't know if running 10 Int here would be worth still, but going full Rec and Dis along with the recommended Int value that Castle is saying here should net you MUCH faster supers than you're used to on which ever tree you pick.
@@wethepeople8280 Think any old 140 or 120 will do, but so far I've been having a lot of success with Sunshot since the precision+explosion damage goes past 70. Might give DMT a try here in a sec, though I don't think it's hipfire headshot quite hits 130. But yeah so far I've been getting 2 supers an IB match on bottom tree Sunbreaker at T7 Int, and I wouldn't consider myself a master at these nades quite yet haha

'While everyone was playing Master Chief I was in the depths of hell learning super regeneration' That got me smiling knowing that the last days I was playing Crucible with the Magnum and the BR
Not getting super credit for overshield damage is pretty interesting, gives some extra utility to mid sunbreaker and Rime Behemoths. As long as they make sure they are entering engagements with their overshield they are technically slowing their opponents super regeneration slightly from where it would otherwise be.
It also stops the player with the over shield from receiving super energy for damage taken until that shield is removed anddd your health tops back off. So pretty whack imo. Read this in an article earlier
@@wethepeople8280 Interesting. Still, since damage dealt grants more than damage taken, the overshield is costing them more super than its costing you in theory... Though it'll depend how much overshield exactly.
@@traviscalder What you're saying makes sense. If you have an overshield, for the enemies shots on target, it makes you unable to receive the "damage taken" Super points, but it's the weaker effect anyway. Your opponent can't get the "damage given" Super points, which is the stronger effect negated. Meanwhile, for your shots on target, you still get your stronger "damage given" effect, and he only receives the weaker "damage taken" effect. In cases of similarly skilled opponents, the effect will eventually add up over time..

Just what I was looking for to start grinding for gear again! Solid vid, important to note bubble was mentioned to become a tier 5 after void 3.0, so that may be worth keeping in mind for Titans.
Amazing video man. Everything clearly stated and explained. Ever since the 7th I’ve just been trying to figure out what the hell to do with my intellect and this answered every question I had.
For me, the important points are still where the regen bars hit certain breakpoints and it seems 3 and 7 are still the relevant points in regen where you get the most bang for your stat bucks. Do we know if the Supers that ended up being the "wrong tier" from the announcement are in the right tier in game, or are they going to be changed to fit the posted chart? I run Revenant or Top/Bottom Nightstalker so I'm going with 30 Int max on all my builds anyway, but I'm curious nonetheless.
THANK YOU ive been waiting for someone to make this but all the content creators have been too distracted by the new weapons (understandably so, theyre badass)
Thank you so much, this is a very, very well made breakdown of how PVP has been affected going forward. I had one question though, even though you sort of brushed on it briefly there in an example: do you get bonus super energy on an assist like you do for a kill? Like if a kill gives you 10 units flat, does an assist award you anything or no? If that was mentioned and I missed it, my bad
there are no "assists" in D2. If you deal 1 damage to an enemy and someone cleans it up, you are awarded an elimination. So I believe you will get 10 "units" of super. The difference is in the "units" gained per damage dealt. Since you dealt less damage you will get less of a bump for damage dealt, but still receive the same initial 10 units for the elimination. Hope that helps.
Because of tether's high tier, I will legitimately pick it up if they give it instant activation and the ability to shoot it like a primary bow instead of the awkward 3d angle they give you.
I guess OHK abilities are less valuable for super gen than weakening abilities where you can use a weak nade then secure kill with a weapon. Not sure that finishing with a melee should be penalized as much as it is vs getting a shotgun kill.

How. Do. You. Not. Have. More. Recognition!!! Amazing overview, gotta come back to recraft my builds. I am eager to see your new titan build, I got an idea or two as well. Like heart of inmost light, top tree striker with two blinding nades and demo weapons. Chuck the nades to blind, use the charge for movement and treat the super as a pure shutdown like in D1. Gotta play around, the new sandbox is fun! And happy birthday, man! You deserve a drink for two reasons now. Cheers 🍻
great video! thanks so much for this none of the math was useless whatsoever this actually really encourages team play and has really helped me get how i should change my gameplay up, good shit.
For people frustrated that they have to farm new armor: both Master Grasp of Avarice and Legend Dares of Eternity drop high-stat armor in droves (obviously Grasp isn't gonna be farmable until tomorrow's reset but if you're reading this comment after 14 Dec 2021 then great). Legend Dares in particular is almost easier than regular because of the final boss being the same every time, provided you have 6 people and at least 1 of them knows what they're doing. My clanmates and I were getting 10-11 minute Legend Dares runs, not counting lightning round which does happen somewhat more often on that difficulty. (If you're a solo player, hit LFG.) Some advice for Legend Dares: 0. Bring Gjallarhorn with the catalyst. It's worth it. 0.5 If somebody misses the jump through the wheel, wait for them to go back and try again before starting the encounter. It's worth it, especially in your first few runs before you have things down pat and can afford somebody not having infinite heavy. 1. Don't bother bringing Anti-Barrier unless someone already has an anti-barrier weapon they really like. Barrier champs die in two Gjallarhorn hits before they can put shields up. Maybe if they're in round 1? 2. Make sure 2-3 people have Overload covered, in particular when Fallen is in the rotation because Overload Captains are like top 3 most annoying common enemies in this game. You can still burst them down with Gjallarhorn but it's annoying. Vex boss also has Overloads. 3. As for Unstoppable, Cabal boss has them when that's in the rotation, and they're in Lightning Round as well if you're concerned. They're very tanky when not stunned, so probably worth bringing 2-3 people with that as well. 4. Blinding grenades are pretty useful in round 1 when Gjallarhorn doesn't solve the same problems faster. 5. When Fallen are in rotation, you don't actually have to kill the brigs to disarm the mines. Warlocks and Titans can pretty much just walk straight up to them, put their backs to a wall so they don't get booped away from the capture point, drop their class ability, and cap the zone with minimal danger. I've gotten multiple zone caps in a row and the brig is just straight up unable to kill me, provided I'm killing the exploding shanks before they get too close. Corollary: when Fallen is the first enemy type, such as during release week, you can spend your heavy during the first phase to get through it quickly because there isn't anything you have to actually kill on the second phase. (Obviously when they come around as the second enemy faction, you'll have heavy regen anyway.) 6. When Hive are in rotation, I'd suggest having 1-2 people ignore the objective and just clear adds so that the rest of the team can focus down the crystals. 7. Well lock is your best friend. Super's up constantly and it's handy in almost any situation.
Finally! The breakdown I've been waiting for. Great vid but I have to point out 1 thing, the Hands-on bit was tested on an Uncharged Melee kill, would a Charged Melee kill trigger Hands-on?
Great content, you touched on it briefly at the end but I wonder if you could do a follow up when trials is out after testing to see if it’s possible based on intellect stat / defeats if it’s even possible to get 3 supers or consistently get 2 in trials /3v3 game modes like comp. This is great for quick play (I’m definitely lowering my intellect now) just really still unsure what’s optimal for competitive pvp thanks
Thank you, so much for this! I have been wondering since the update if I should concentrate on amping my Intellect to get my super early or focus on abilities and this really helps me. Your analysis was insane and I haven't seen any other D2 YTuber go as in-depth as you. Subbed and you definitely deserve more!
I found this video one month later (I think) after it was published. I have to see this video a few more times. I’m glad that my stats as of now are actually close to this level. I’m not using well of radiance though, I guess I am convinced now.
I think I'm going to run 70 permanently, because looking at your graph it seems there's a lot of diminishing return after that mark on all subclasses. "Best bang for your buck" kinda situation. Thanks for the info, subbed.

16:12 take a screenshot and use this as reference for anyone really wanting to change something. It’s actually helps a lot and I feel like I understand this really well thanks just to that chat
Thanks for all the information your able to share with us. Your guides are always SUPER in depth.
The amount of work you put into these videos is insane man haha, honestly I wouldn't mind shorter, simpler videos if it meant more content from you!
Yeah, after this video I’ll be putting in way more fun videos like live commentaries. I’m worried they may not do well but I want to upload way more frequently.
Finally got around to watching this and WOW! Great video per always dude! I'll reference this a lot!
Happy birthday, great video, i am a shadebinder with 7 intelect that lives trials, i see i made the right choice to put my level 10 on 7 intelect, and with yours other video about resilience i took those 20 extra stats to it, i hope you make one video in the future about mobility i recently increased it and feels much better but i am not certain if over 8 is beneficial, if is like you chart of supers it gets worse on 8.
Awesome breakdown of the new intellect system. Thanks for all the hard work that went into this video 👍🏻
Honestly this was an incredibly educational video. I really appreciate you takin the time to get this stuff on paper. Bungo is not the best at giving us the cold hard facts.
Thank you!
Your scuffed notes screen hurt my face but gave me a laugh, great video!
Seriously, what an asset is to the PvP community this is. Fantastic work!
Phenomenal content. Thank you for testing what I dare not.
Thanks for the work on this one, Castle, I just came back from a break to discover this madness, and you helped clear it up tremendously. Happy late birthday, too bud 👍🏼
This is huge and will definitely allow me to move towards less intellect now. Thank you so much for this. Invaluable information.
Great question. And this is why I follow Castle!
This is a great video. Now I know what stats to look for in an armor now. I don’t have to constantly look for a great intellect stat.
That is insane testing! Thank you for the work you do to help us out. Happy Birthday!
How. Do. You. Not. Have.
Cheers 🍻
This was amazing. Thank you so much for putting this together.
🙌
super video! (pun intended)
Wish I could like this 100 times. You deserve more recognition. Fantastic job man!
Thank you!
Great info and breakdown Castle. I'm not a PVP player at all, but I noticed the major change in PVE as well. 👍🏾
Get out of my head man! Every time I thought about a question, you addressed it in the next section. Great video 💪👍
Bro you’re a god sent! Thanks been waiting on this info. Time to grind for new bits of gear!!!
You just Wowed me. Thank you for the all the time you put into this
great video! thanks so much for this none of the math was useless whatsoever this actually really encourages team play and has really helped me get how i should change my gameplay up, good shit.
(If you're a solo player, hit LFG.)
Some advice for Legend Dares:
(Obviously when they come around as the second enemy faction, you'll have heavy regen anyway.)
Amazing breakdown!!! Thanks for the info!! My intellect on my armor has always been terrible so these changes make me happy 😂.
Yeah I’ll maybe just make a community post - it’s a great idea
OMG I'm so glad I found this video! Thank you so much!! Such a HUGE help!
Finally my man Castle gets to the big question!
Happy Birthday brother and thanks for posting this. I know it was a lot of work and I appreciate.
*Laughs in neutral game builds* ahh love how me neglecting Int for so long paid off
Happy Birthday brother! Have a great one with your loved ones 🎂♥️
Happy Birthday, Castle! Great info as always
You really busted your ass for this data. Mad props to you Castle 👍🏾
Happy birthday castle! Thank you for all the work that went into this video
I dropped a like before watching the video, knowing for sure it's a top quality, good job man.
I found this video one month later (I think) after it was published. I have to see this video a few more times. I’m glad that my stats as of now are actually close to this level. I’m not using well of radiance though, I guess I am convinced now.
Great info Castle, and many happy returns
Happy birthday Castle best informative d2 youtuber :)
I think I'm going to run 70 permanently, because looking at your graph it seems there's a lot of diminishing return after that mark on all subclasses. "Best bang for your buck" kinda situation. Thanks for the info, subbed.
Thank you for an amazing explanation!
🍻🍻
Le monarch especially but bows in general are crazy for farming damage
Nice video man. Thank you so much for the info. I'm going to share this video in a destiny 2 Facebook group I'm in. Hopefully get you more views and spread this information.
Much appreciated!
@@CastleContent no prob. You put out a great video with some very useful info. It is least I can do
Amazing breakdown, thank you for doing it, and to everyone involved in the testing!
Great video, I've been running my stasis hunter with 80 discipline with 10 to 20 second duskfield grenades
