Explosive payload is hands down the single best perk in the game for PVP and PVE. I could mention all the reasons but this one benefit I want to mention I don't believe is confirmed but I swear to god it's true. It's that I honestly believe that explosive payload increases the hit box size. Having one gun with EP and one without EP I always have a much easier time landing my crit shots with explosive payload. This feeling is to the point that certain guns feel almost unusable without the explosive rounds once you try it out. My true prophecy with explosive payload made landing 3 crits easy in PVP and PVE. Then I got a roll with out it and tried it out and it felt like I couldn't hit any of my crit shots. Idk if this is just me or if it's a common thing people notice but yeah I swear to god that explosive payload increases a targets hit box size and yes I do mean hit box size and not aim assist amount or bullet magnetism amount. The reason for wording it this way is the fact that explosive payload separates a guns damage into 2 bullets each doing around half total damage. One bullet is the normal hit scan bullet just with less damage and it has damage fall off. The other is the explosive bullet which has no damage fall off and is also a hitscan linebut it counts as splash damage and not normal projectile damage. My evidence for this is the fact the a solar explosive payload weapon can spawn warmind cells with wrath of wrathsputin mod and this season the vouchsafe with EP is void and the seasonal mod lets it spawn warmind cells. So what i think is going on is that since it's a splash damage effect and hit scan then the "Scan Line" on the explosive 1/2 of the bullet is a thinker scan line or has a lsmaller radius of effect area compared to the second half of the bullet which has a very line scan line radius area. of that bullet compared to a normal hit scan bullet essentially giving explosive rounds a large surface area to connect with compared to a non explosive round. This is just a theory I have and I have no actual evidence for it being true other then the over all feel of the weapon. But I really think this is how the hit scan lines work with splash damage weapons. Pease if anyone knows more about this stuff correct me if I'm wrong, or agree with me if you feel this effect in game also.

Perks for example are extremely important in changing the cone angles. For example my apostate with firmly planted and opening shot has one of the highest come angles and literally gives free headshots
EP might be the best perk for this sniper next to Vorpal, if not for flinch then for the fact that there some funky stuff going on with the perk in general in terms of hitscan and all that. Because as far as i know, at least a part of the "bullet" that you shoot is an actual projectile, and a lot of people feel that, because of that projectile, you sometimes hit shots that you shouldn't, even with AA involved. Now, what i said above is NOT CONFIRMED, so take what i say with a grain of salt, but for the majority of the people i talk to, they agree that something is going on underneath the hood, that makes weapons with EP easier to land shots with. Great video Castle !!! :D EDIT: And how could i even forget, it increases non precision damage by 15% and precision damage by 11% in PvE, AND since it's solar, if you get kills with explosive payload it builds up the stack to spawn warmind cells if you have Wrath of Rasputin. So yea, EP might be the best perk overall in the 4th column lol. P.S. Sorry if my spelling / grammar isn't good, English isn't my main language.

Just going to point out that explosive payload seems to noticeably increase the hit registration on any gun. Using two rolls of the same gun with and without feels widely different.
