They are great. Especially for that blues jam you go too!

Thanks guys. I have just bought a 529i. If my pedals each have a 9v battery on board, and the 529i runs out of power, will the on board 9v batteries automatically kick in and power each pedal?.

I don’t think so. When you plug in the power cable from the supply into your pedal it disconnects the draw to the battery. Otherwise when you turn off the supply your batteries would drain. I think you have to unplug the power cables from the pedals for the batteries to work again.

@@PJandtheBeard OK thanks. Think I'll get a spare battery block in case the 529i runs out of power..

@@Stormchaser335 I will say the 529i holds a charge for a long time. We love ours.

I haven't gigged it yet, so hope it will cope with 2 x 1hr 30 min sets. I'll turn it of during break and connect 12v supply to top it up. I absolutely love the 529i..

Mission Entineer recommends not using the 529i while charging at the same time. Realistically, it may work okay but might end up damaging the unit. Check out their specs/instructions and you’ll see.

Good to know! Thanks! Of course, we have never run into a situation where we needed too. The battery lasts a long time.

Didnt say anything about how to recharge it.
Can you use a usb power brick to recharge it?

Quite the over site. Sorry about that. I don’t have it with me but it comes with a power cable. I think the input for charging is 12 volts.

Wasn’t sure I was right about that. Found this on Sweetwater’s website. Plug in and charge from almost any device
Wherever you are, you’ll be able to charge your pedals. In most cases, you’ll simply plug the AC adapter into the wall. But if you’re in a jam, a little creativity will keep your show on the road. You can charge the power supply from a variety of devices. First, you can use the wall adapter and charging cable from your smartphone or tablet to refill the power supply. If you’re not at home, you can easily use a computer or USB battery pack. At Sweetwater, we found that the 529i can even be charged by your cars USB charging port! With so many different options to choose from, you’ll always be able to charge your Mission Engineering 529i pedal power supply.

Charge doesn't last long enough with 5 pedals. Perhaps I purchased the wrong power supply. Seemed attractive because of the "battery concept." And I must say that MI doesn't recommend "plugging it in" while using it.

What’s long enough? I have used it many times for 45 to 90 minute gigs with 5-8 pedals and had plenty of power left over. Sometimes even longer. I do switch to a hardwired power supply for longer (4 hour) gigs just to be safe. I I se the mission for more of a travel board supply for jams, rehearsals, sit ins, and short sets. I know Pat has use it live a bunch too. I think for longer gigs than I have. Interested to know how fast it’s running out on you. What pedals are you using? Are they all high draw?
