My bag is super simple and has remained unchanged since 1998: Sansamp Bass DI (old version), Sadowsky Bass Preamp (old version), and a Boss TU-2 pedal tuner, which I used religiously on EVERY gig, even overseas, until I discovered Snark tuners, which I now use all the time. However, the Boss tuner pedal is still in my gig bag as a back up and, yes, I've had to use it a couple of times in a pinch. That's it.
I always have a similar bag with me! I call it the "oh crap bag" lol I also always have a roll of gaffers tape, some batteries and a multi tool. Love the content!
In addition to the usual (tuner, battery); extension cord, picks for the guitarist, drum key for the drummer, pens, spare rubber washer-type strap locks.
I definitely have seen your original bass di shootout, but I would love to see an ear training video for tone and timbre. I haven't had much training for bass, but I want to know what good tone sounds like and how to achieve it!
I seen that Earthquaker pedal!! I have the Astral Destiny and take it to all my shows, not to cover band gigs tho, that power supply is awesome ima have to look into that! I’ve been wanting to get into pedals more for this next album we’re working on,
Love your gear videos. Also, I noticed you linked the 2.25" Levy's strap. Have you ever tried the 3.25" version? Curious how they compare. I have a 2.75" Lock-It leather strap and sometimes my neck and back still get sore. However, it has no real padding on the shoulder. Thanks.

I'm considering one but am not sure as I already have one powering my board. is this what you use exclusivly or do you have one powering your pedals underneath your board and use that 529 as a backup? Those things plus a glass fingernail file, extra batteries and a Music Nomad Octopus tool. Sometimes I even have one or two hex wrenches.
Those straps are godsends for heavier basses. My 11lb ESP would have killed me by now if I didn't have one.
Which esp do you have? Mine is a 4 string and weighs 9.5 lbs
