      @@PJandtheBeard Just a quick follow-on question if you don't mind.... How did you mount it to your pedalboard? I see the Joyo JP-05 has four rubber feet, which I guess you can just removed and velcro it down in the usual manner?

    • @PJandtheBeard
      @PJandtheBeard  3 роки тому +1

      Matthew Arrowsmith exactly. The rubber feet will just peal off and then you can put your Velcro on and attach it to your board.

    Just added this to my rig and love it. Tyvm BTW! Is that a blonde Heritage 535 hanging in the right of frame? Looks like a Schaller TP. Tyvm

      It’s definitely a handy power supply to have around. Use ours a good bit! The right of the frame is a 1987 Gibson ES-335.

    Shame i couldnt see what you were talking about due to the window in window of your board obscuring the PSU

    Does anybody know of a power supply that I could buy that I can also plug my Headrush gigboard into? It has a regular 120v wall plug for power. It would be nice to be able to have my board all ready to go and just have to find one outlet to plug into instead of having to plug in multiple things. Just thought I would ask and thanks in advance.

    Any updates on this ? How’s the battery hold up. I’m looking for something for just a couple acoustic pedals. Need it to last 3-4 hours

    • @PJandtheBeard
      @PJandtheBeard  10 місяців тому

      We used this a good bit with no problems. We did switch to using the mission engineering one more often after we did that video. Normally for long gigs we use a plug in power pack but I wouldn’t be surprised if either would last for that long with just a couple pedals, but not sure I would guarantee it. We have found them both to have surprisingly long battery life even powering a full pedal board n

    The battery indicator light on mine didn’t work out of the box while charging. Sometimes you get what you pay for, I guess. And when I try to charge it the battery indicator light never shows that it has changed more than past red phase. So it’s always telling me it’s about to run out no matter how long it sits on charge.

      Sorry to hear that. No idea what their customer service is like. Ours is still running strong. We recently got a similar unit from Mission Engineering and would highly recommend that one. We have a video for it on the channel.

      I can't guarantee it, but from our experience I would say it would work fine.

    Curious if anyone is using this power supply with high current draw pedals (above 200mA), e.g Strymon Timeline etc.

    • @PJandtheBeard
      @PJandtheBeard  Рік тому +1

      We use to have this on the demo board and used it with some high current stuff. Never a timeline though. If your looking for a wireless option you might want to check out the other one we did. The Mission 529i has two 500 mA and six 300 mA spots.

    How has the battery held up so far?

    • @PJandtheBeard
      @PJandtheBeard  4 роки тому +2

      We’ve used it a good bit and I haven’t noticed any change in the battery. It lasts a surprisingly long time. I use it on a little travel type board that I change the pedals on frequently. It’s so nice to go to a jam or rehearsal and not have to worry about finding an outlet.

    • @PJandtheBeard

      We’ve used it a good bit without any problems. As long as you have the right power going to each pedal you should be good.

    • @PJandtheBeard
      @PJandtheBeard  4 роки тому +1

      I guess we left that out? There is an adapter that plugs into the wall. You can run it while charging too. I have never had it run out while using it but if it would you would just plug it in.

    Are the outputs isolated?

    • @PJandtheBeard

      It says they are isolated but I am not sure if it is the same isolation you would find on higher end units. Either way, I haven’t had any problems.

      Nothing to be isolated from, AC is always the culprit, ground loop not an issue in DC as it goes back to source without an AC oscillation the sound you hear is harmonics caused by different distances that lead back to ground, as they share the same path causing cumulative signal spiking (put in layman's terms)
      summed up, mains power sucks ass.... DC rules!! ( Aviation Electronics Technician USN 97-01 :)
      oh and BTW 5G is super safe, can barely make it's way through trees...much less give you cancer :)

      When powered by Outlet.....may not be isolated then of course ;) Depends on the AC/DC circuitry
