Always love how Quinn always refers to the parts as "pieces". Makes him sound like he is showcasing an art gallery! Which I suppose he is most of the time.
This is what automotive youtube should be the flashy. Watch us build xyz car is not what makes automotive youtube. It's the attention to detail that there needs to be more like this
I think it’s overlooked how hard it is to work on a sophisticated machine with hundreds of parts while also talking and explaining without stuttering. Let alone having a camera pointed at you the whole time. It’s no tire change tutorial.
Watching u guys is like watching artwork being created. I love the detail and just overall beauty. Being a teenager in the early to mid 90s, I see all these cars being restored and built. The attention to detail is incredible. It makes me giddy with excitement. Thank u guys so much. I can barely wait for new videos.
Dang awesome job. I want to build a engine and learn all the electrical so bad ! It looks like so much goes into it. Fun and exciting! Quinn is so amazing in explaining and building! Shout out to the the whole team!
This looks like a fun build! However, I’d personally check the piston ring gaps and bearing clearances with the head studs, gasket, and a torque plate installed, as well as the main girdle and sump brace installed and torqued down to get a more accurate measurement of the correct clearances; the amount of force applied to the head studs and main studs when fully torqued down are known to cause a measurable distortion in closed deck cast iron block sleeves, as well as main bearing journals, especially in RB25/26’s.
Seeing a fully brand new built engine is honestly one of the most beautiful things / besides my wife. I literally just rewatch every single one of the Throtl videos over and over. Props to Quinn🔥
These engine builds are definitely my favourite content from you guys. All those parts are pieces of art and it's so satisfying watching a clean assembly process 👌👌
❤from manila Philippines 🇵🇭,, I love how clean you assembled engine parts and always clean some parts before you put on the car,, so satisfying to watch and mostly I learn alot from your blog ,,, love the throtl team.❤ always
I live in Australia, see so many amazing looking Skylines and other JDM cars. I’m only 16 but I really really wanna learn how to build engines (especially RB’s). I believe there are a lot of great opportunities to learn how to here. You guys do amazing work, one day I wanna open a car shop building engines and tuning cars. An absolute dream job.
go find a machining shop and ask to do some work experience , might be able to get a job out of it (and an apprenticeship) gotta put yourself out there! People like it when you show initiative
@@fullsendmarinedarwin7244 yea, that’s what I been thinking of doing. I need to get a car and my P’s first though. Later this month. Just so that way I can go to and from work without hassling my parents.
@@blakecrossing good call! I waited till I was 18 to get Ps, wish I got it as early as possible in hindsight. Good luck I hope you can find somewhere professional that's willing to bring you on
@@fullsendmarinedarwin7244 yeah thank you very much. It’s just difficult finding a cheap car at the moment as I’m trying to get my dirtbike rebuilt too.
This RB26 engine built is insane I love watching you guys no skip on ads that was a long time I can't watch your videos my phone is broken so I need to save some of my money to buy a new one then now I'm here again watching your videos from start to finish
Here in Australia we have the fastest RB GTRs going around. A common build would be a Rb25/30 using a Nissan Rb30 3 litre bottom end with a Rb25 head. 6 boost manifold, plazmaman intercooler, haltech ecu and whatever size turbo of your choice. Parts are quality and plentiful.
Absolutely incredible. Thank you so much for doing this build video. So much valuable knowledge that will really help me finish up my HKS step 2 RB28 build!
Build something with ITB's! Maybe a less common motor like a ca18 or a ka24, maybe a b18, or even just a K-series motor. Turbos are great but ITBs are beautiful and would love to see Quinn put something together like that. All motor in a light chassis, IMO, is the pinnacle of cool! Love these build videos, I'm glued to the screen from start to finish.
Quinn reminds me of a teacher at a top tier automotive tech school. Not that I've ever been to one. 😂😂But if I did, I feel like he could teach me to be a top tier technician. He's got all the engine specs down to a science.
Ok Quinn… Like damn! Micky we need a full price breakdown of this now. And is this a Godzilla 34 build for Micky, or a wagon sleeper? OR wait… maybe a 300….. ponder ponder!
I had an idea on maybe a new series or just a few episodes that you guys could do. A car showcase of the teams personal cars would be so cool because you guys are always just showing all of these amazing cars you guys work on at the shop, but I want to see, and I could imagine a lot of others wanting and enjoying to see, your guys' personal collections!
M3NACE!!! so happy to see you grow from where you've started my man. AWESOME job on this build, learned so much and your attention to detail is always so admiring. Cheers my guy!
Quinn definitely belongs here, would love to see y’all build a subie motor and definitely has to be a ej257, it might be challenging but i think you guys got it
just a thought but you have sealed the oil pan with the sealer to the outside of the bolts which will allow oil to pass up the threads and drip, i may be wrong as i have never built an engine 23.03
Next time you do a build ... perhaps you could show the stock component ... the stock component's limitations ... the component you're using, and how // why it's better. See ... I barely recognize the components inside an engine ... but you could train someone like me to regard some companies products as desirable (marketing) which is I assume, the point?
I have never built an engine before and I think it would be a cool experience to build an engine with you! If you guys ever do something like that I’d love to enter to try and win.
I have watched a 2JZ and now the RB25/6 build since subscribed.. I would say Subaru and Mitsubishi going with the JDM theme (unless those have been done I just missed it) I always think 90's to 00's big four in JDM competitions and builds..
This vid is the car enthusiast's equivalent to Arnold gearing up in the Commando movie, such hype! I hope this gets to power the 300ZX for a rad swap🤞 thanks for listening & improve on what I've been commenting w/

I could watch Quinn build engines all day! Wonderful job, excited to see where it's going to end up!
Note to self: Potato chips are an essential when building an RB25 (22:20) ;-)
Love the in-depth tech episode with Quinn. More of this please.

Quinn - you need to work at NASA my Bru.🤓.. i love how chilled you are and with the wealth of knowledge you have - you still stay humble and grounded.
He kinda sounds like an engine tour guide, pretty specific and accurate, love this dude
That's gonna look 🔥🔥🔥 in the 300ZX 😉
I support this statement.😊
This was built for Motive Video for their R32. The link to the video of the car is up top in the description.
love the fact that it was like 5 am at some early point in the vid

Gotta say, that engine build ---- Sick AF! Great job to all the partners and @throtl
Tootsie roll woulda worked for the depth indicator of the oil pickup too. I always keep a small bag of em in the toolbox.
One of THE best 40 Mins of my entire life 🤌🤌

would enjoy to see more in depth on the timing procedure that goes with building these engines! So sick to watch
Quinn is a scientist with building motors
I can watch Quinn build engines ALL day ER'day! This brotha is the Picasso of engine builders. More, please!🔥
these guys are living my dream
so straight faced and focused the entire video and then WOOOO!!!! As soon as the turbo went on. HAHAHAH! So funny, Quinn was like finally!
use playdoh for the clearance... it will smoosh and hold its shape, unlike grease that will pull when the pan is removed.
I love how he explains everything he does, u learn very much of this

They are really putting this in the s2k woooow that lil car finna b a pure missel
Some eat dinner while watching movies. I ate dinner while learning about this engine. It was riveting 😅
You make it looks so easy
He sure does - it’s called “talent”!
You guys should build a 4AGE. Hardly anybody does content on them and you guys would give some much needed insight into the engine.
Italian piston and rods I used them on my 2001 Porsche.. amazing quality
AUSTRALIA again, providing the foundation for the best RB anything :)
