Bro gave us one of them the silent treatment videos, love watching the builds!👍
😅him tired second he have build engine but enough rating 👍
@@scarfacejam was this english? is english your 3rd or 4th language im guessing?
Only thing that was missing was the cold start for the boys! Super clean build 💯
I'm gonna say it...... you put the paper towels on backwards.
Doesn't matter man. If u think about it
@@abdellahbouincha3519 It matters. Especially with toilet paper!
Lost his credibility putting on backwards. Attention to detail goes a long way when building engines
It’s like tires. Directional. Solid call out
fr that was criminal. I'm surprised UA-cam hasn't taken this down yet.
Devin has tools for everything. He is one of the most patient and focused car builders I've everything seen. He has his builds down to a science.
look at m539, same build quality
@@dylandiedrichand he’s funny and entertaining, love him 😂
holy glaze bro wipe it off when you're done
I love it!!! No hassle, no talk....nothing!! Only mechanical relaxing theraphy
Engine building is so satisfying to watch
Dude, I needed this. It's like a therapy, just silent, mechanical work.🤤
your energy and enthusiasm make every video a joy to watch!
That was a masterpiece and very relaxing thank you, I wasn't looking for any mistakes honestly I was just enjoying the build
No lube on t oilfilter
It comes pre-lubed brother but good catch though.
No lube like anywhere lol! We shall see a rebuild coming soon!
@@JavierMartinez-wo8czwhat where?
@@JavierMartinez-wo8cz the oil filter comes pre-lubed that’s why it has that plastic wrap around the gasket ring.
@@JavierMartinez-wo8cz6:29 here is lube
It’s amazing how stuff is created and every detail on how they work!
By far the best video ever.. cant wait to hear that first start for the boys🔥🔥🔥💯💯✌🏼✌🏼🫡🫡🥴🥴
Didnt know i would ever say this but i loved the silent treatment. this was master
one of the best of Devins engine building. It could have been a lot longer for me, but the head was ready to install from the headshop.. only the missing lube on the oilfilter spooked me for a second, but then again some are prelubed and others work same without oil on em...
Amazing video. Loved every second. So detailed. Amazing camera skills.
Perfect opening. We love the sounds
Glad to see it coming together! Enjoyed all of the sounds. Time to get her back together and move to the NSX build.
I could watch this every day!!
When you just need a break from bs this is so nice and relaxing. thanks for such a great video!
I needed this therapy session today. Thank you, Devin! 🫡
Ima use this as my sleep background
LOVE IT! ASMR for plastic unpacking, towel ripping, box opening, part cleaning, wiping, marking, careful part placement, torquing, - I NEEDED THIS Devin! ! Therapy!
this is a amazing video, its too calming
I saw you apply Permatex around the wrong side of the dowel pin at exactly 10:00 but then quickly correct it :)
NO ONE SAW THAT 🤣
Is this a 4g63
@@davidmeraz9963 yes
Saw the whole thing . So relaxing.
I appreciate videos like this sometimes. This is what happens when you are building, thank you for making a video with the details that people can just look at as a how too. Might need another title to reflect what it is though IMO
Love watching your videos smacked!! It's so calming.
excellent craftsmanship
Circlip on the piston, always have the open end on the 12 or 6 o’clock position. You installed it at 3 o’clock
I’d love to know why this is important
At high RPMs, I’ve heard that if the circlip opening is at three or 9 o’clock that it could compress the circlip enough to fall out. This has never happened to anyone I know but it does makes sense. Could just be a myth, but just incase, I always place the opening at 12 or 6.
@@Ryan-806 sounds more like an improperly installed clip than anything. I’ve never come across that min my work, or even in story form.
Best vid yet. Do more of these pls
I’m just dying thinking about Devin’s talk track in his head while recording.
“Don’t grunt, don’t breathe, I must be silent” then realizing how much he literally talks to him self as he builds 😂
I generally love the commentary but this is what I needed today 🔥🔥🔥
Just a man, and his machine 👌🏾
Great work. Great attention to detail. I would have lubed the cam lobes completely but as long as it spins after everything is assembled, no worries. Great Job!
I’m not gonna lie, I watched the whole thing but did anyone else wanted him talk In this video? 😂
Definitely 😂
For sure!😂
Yes😂😂
Probably everyone. We watch the channel for him and his projects. Asmr in my opinion is the worst thing ever to come to existence as UA-cam content.
Nah, he already got so many engine building videos explaining everything, this one was relaxing🫡
King engine bearings - pmax black
Proud that i was working on this project 😎
ASMR builds are the best builds
i can watch this video over and over.. So well done.
Acutal inspiration bro. Hope to have a set up like this and build something of my own one day.
Very nice,impressive workmanship.great video 😎😎😎👍👍👍
Don't comment a lot on videos I watch, but this one was good! Could have been longer, in my opinion, but I love this build series and can't wait to see his car complete!
When cleaning engine parts using regular coffee filters is the best. They are cheap and when they rip fibers don’t come off that could go into the engine.
forgot to add rtv onto the threads of one of the bolts for timing belt idler/tensioner pulley mount that bolts to the block, one of the bolts threads is in the oil galley.
The new audio setup is dope!
Finally back together!🤩
muito satisfatório, belo trabalho!
The man was not joking when he said ASMR 😅. Very satisfying video to watch
even without music it is very satisfying
Dude Devin ain't playin!!!! Right to the point
I need to get on his level like damn what am i doing wrong
Brilliant D love ur builds, but i especially enjoyed this one something different but loved it
Great job! More vids like this in the future please!
Did you put thread sealant/rtv on the bolt that goes through the mount bracket, it goes through a oil galley
This is my fav video of yours
Finally a real Engine Build asmr without background Music etc
Reminds me of when I swapped all the goodies from my stock evo 6 motor to my built evo 8 2.3L short block. I didn't add thread sealant to one of the idler pulley bolts which goes into an oil passage and it was puking oil when I started it up. Hope that didn't happen to you! Good times!
why is it so beautiful
Great video man!
ASMR for car guys love it ❤
Hey man I really recommend using the OEM freeze plugs for the block/head, I had my head service with those aftermarket brass plugs and alot of them are failing after only a few thousand kms, OEM plugs sorted the issue.
i can watch this al day
Mistake. Yea, No Bobbi in the video!
Respect to your craft and your years of experience I don’t want to be that guy that points out everything but my teacher from tech school always said to use a short sockets when it comes to assembling so you have a low change of stripping the bolts and you have more torque.
come on! flip that shop towel 0:06 hahaha .... nice work bro 🔥🔥
Nice video, on thre crank and rod jounals would a plasigauge be a quicker method then all the measurements?
I may be mistaken, but aren't certain bolts supposed to have sealant on them because of the way the coolant passages run through the block? I know you had to remove certain bolts and add sealant to them, the first time you built this engine.
Love the ASMR aspect of this video! Out of every other Automotive Channel I watch on UA-cam, I always watch your videos first! Keep up the amazing work Devin!
IIRC only the exhaust manifold studs need rtv because of the oil passages.
I wouldn't use the brush for bearings. But i dont think its a mistake
WOW a ASMR video 📹 need more of these lol
Nice vid. Not sure if you changed it or installed it off camera but the head cover gasket?
Hoping the .045 ptw measurement was missin a zero, great vid tho.. Never really been an import fan so can honestly say you are the only channel we watch with these type of builds.. Cant help but respect the quality of your work and attention to detail..
Gracias por crear estos videos, me quitan la depresión, ty
Did not prime motor with oil pickup still upside down for first start up. Or can do it with timing belt off and spinning oil drive gear with drill before installing belt. To remove all air in filter and channels and get beter oil pressure on first startup.
This is absolutely beautiful! Do you have one for the EJ257?
We need more videos like this: ASMR style.. 🙂
Great job guy!
Just had a 4B11T built it cost a lot more in Australia but what a beast it is now worth every dollar
Amazing work
Put oil in the filter, helps with the initial start.
Best video so far to be honest. Sounds over talk any day for me. Also the video quality was on point and way better than usual. I should know, I’m a videographer.
This engine looks super simple to build. If there was a love button I’d press it.
This was so satisfying watching the engine come together. In the electric car world that governments want to mandate this art would be gone. Thanks for the video Devin.
Pure gold
you tightened the lower part of the connecting rod when it wasn't on the crankshaft. I had a good laugh. Nice build :)
concentration 100% keep goin Dev!!!! did you forget to put valve cover gasket or im wrong? hahah
Such a beautiful video
Gotta love the old 4G63😍
Tip: use a softfaced hammer on those alignment pins and seals, avoids pretty much all scratches and dents
Never did like snap gauges. But seems like you’ve got the feel so good for you! Lol. I use mics and inside bore gauges. Nice build tho. I’ve got a 4g63 stroker build coming up soon here. Now I’m up to 7 torque plates. Lmao. Engine building is expensive ! You should get a ring expander. Even a cheap one. I always get scared I’m gonna scrape the piston spiraling them on so I haven’t done that in many years. Altho I’m sure it’s fine ! 😊
Perfect Job. 🏆
Good work 👍
Glorious!!!!!!
Go Hard Don’t Give Up ❤
Surgical precision 👌
Now this is how it's done, don't talk about it, be about it 😊get it done
when he released the crank cradle up after the initial check of the bearing measurements was one of the arp studs lifted? looks higher one the rest of them :D
When you're checking the piston ring gap, is it scoring the cylinder wall when coming in & out?
genuinly amazing to listen to in the background while playing beamng
It's been a while since I built my Evo IX 2.2L motor, but the only thing that I noticed was not adjusting the timing belt tensioner pulley. He must have done it off camera because the grenade pin seemed to come out smoothly.
You make it look so easy, but what a very nice job and did not spot anything wrong 🤔🤔🤔
se ve bien solido ese motor
