for the price of the MAX you can buy the normal one + an even better speaker ( the only reasons left would be size and the camera and even the camera is debatable as there's other cams compatible with Nest hardware )
We have the Max in our living room and a standard hub in our bedroom. The max also has a security camera feature when we are away from home it will tell us if there is motion in the house. Great feature. The max speakers are also good, standard hub is just ok

Thank you Janelee and great question. I should have put that info in the video. A few inches away up to 3 feet away from the display seems to be the optimal range for the hand gesture feature. The facial recognition however, works much farther away. The device has quite a wide field of view, so if you can see the camera, it’ll likely recognize your face. Your UA-cam playlists should also be available on here exactly as they are available on your existing Google Home speakers. As always, thanks for watching! 😁
How can I have multiple Hubs in the same area. ike my Kitchen and Den that are open to each other.. And my phone so when I say "Hey Google" which of the 3 devices will answer??
I have a very specific question about the Nest Hub Max regarding watching content; If I'm watching a UA-cam video (or any other type of content) and I pause it then leave the room (or just ignore it) for a long period of time, when I come back the the Hub, can I continue where I left off? Is my content still paused and ready to play? The thing that really infuriates me about my current assistant (Amazon Echo Show 8) is that no matter what your settings are, if you pause anything for more than 10 minutes, it returns to the home screen, and you have to go searching for the content you were previously watching. INFURIATING!
