I have had an incredibly buggy experience with Nest Hub Max that has really made me sour on Google. 1) In the world we live today one of the most important features is the Duo video calling. But its not seemless to set up requires mutliple sections in the google home app. Also you CANNOT START OR JOIN DUO GROUP CHATS!!! I have 500mb up/down internet and 400 dollar router...its not that. 3) We bought one for my parents and cannot get Duo to start or receive calls, done everything to try, extremely frustrating. Also have many other bugs the people here and elsewhere bring up. Overall this still feels like a beta product, not unlike every Google Product. Like the review, but in standard youtube review form, literally no real negatives. I just do not believe that in 6 months he's never had a "any reliability issues" anyone that's owned a Google product know that's is categorically false. When you phrase it like that it just speaks to the crebility of this review that you never once had it not repspond correctly to a command when LITERALLY in the video it gets his music request wrong. Its like all the reviews of chromecasts saying they never have casting issues...right, none of us buy that.

Santa brought us a Google Nest Max for Xmas. It's ok and we use it mostly to listen to our local CBC radio station. The biggest problem is the Google Nest Max stops doing anything everytime we turn our microwave on. Both are located in our kitchen. We used to have a google home mini in the same location and it was unaffected by the microwave.
It could also be wifi interference. Your router may have two wifi frequencies it uses, one network on the 2.4 Gigahertz (GHz) range and one network on the 5GHz range. Microwaves interfere with the 2.4GHz range. Your Google Home Mini may have been connected to the 5GHz network, and your Nest Max might be on the 2.4GHz range. You can see if your router has both of these networks when you search for wifi on your phone, there might be two wifi networks named something similar, just with a 2G or a 5G at the end of their name. In the Google Home app you can see which network your devices are connected to.
