I’m a grown ass man, a combat veteran (combat medic, Iraq 2006-2008), and this song stills gives me chills and makes me tear up. It’s like a trigger for empaths or something
I get it man!
Absolutely it’s like someone singing through your soul..
Right back at ya mate.. We all have some horror we keep buried deep inside and unable to share with others, yet this song and how it was delivered reminds us that we are not alone..
We likely crossed paths in Iraq (Bde MG-TF Justice-2006-2008), and yep, this song goes straight to my soul every single time, dry eyes, not so much. It's definitely a trigger, no doubt!
@@rodneystanfield5301 I was 3/8 1st cav, stationed at PB Paliwoda near anaconda.
Crying over a performance is a gift from God. It touches the soul which touches other souls. Plus it's a great release of tension. You did a fantastic job of reacting. Thank you.
🌞💛🙏☯️🌞
this is like a prayer or a Hymn. Beautiful. no need to apologize for your emotional reactions, I react the same way every time I hear
this song
Never apologize for crying, emotions is what make us human
Funny isn't it, whether your American or Russian we're still all humans with hearts.
@@dannyp9537 The vast majority of us. I think some in Bucha would disagree. If they could.
@@willsofer3679 You may be confusing the average Russian citizen, or at least a majority of them, with their leader.
@@dannyp9537 I'm not. Yes, a very large minority oppose him, especially since mobilization. But the majority still do. We've all heard the stories of people fleeing mobilization who are scraping the "Z" off their car at the border of a NATO country. The majority of Russians still support this war, albeit more so with the older population.
this song always makes me cry .. I have watched this version about 100+ times and it never gets old Davids's absolute mastery of his voice makes this song an even better experience .. loved your raw candid reaction my dear
We are in the same boat.
Crying for a song is the best compliment you can give. It's also so cleansing to the soul
that's well put, it really is cleansing.
Congratulations sweety! You are officially a sensitive caring person. Your tears were a blessing to me. Your new admirer, Jack
Absolutely love that your dog wanted to be there with you, as he could sense some strong emotions on your part. That’s a wonderful gesture by an animal.
Thank you Matthew, he’s really sensitive about my emotional feelings. I appreciate that about him a lot, sometimes I’m feeling lonely with no family in America
That does sound hard. I hope you’re able to make plenty of human connections here in the United States.
Crying is a sincere appreciation of a thing of beauty.
This may be my favorite reaction from anybody on UA-cam! Thank you! I love this song and have since elementary school. I'm 57 years old now and when this version came out, I was amazed. Disturbed is a pretty hard rocking band that I always really liked. But when they did this song, they put themselves into another genre of music. I was very impressed by their performance! Thank you for posting!!!!
Apparently he walked out the recording studio & everyone outsides face was a picture & he new he’d sung something special at that moment 👍👏👏
Check out David Heretic's reaction.
The original version of "The Sound Of Silence" was released in October 1964 as an acoustic ballad recorded by Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel. Paul Simon, the writer said: "We have people unable to touch other people, unable to love other people. "The Sound Of Silence" is about the inability to communicate."
I think Mr. Simon predicted cell phone addiction.
I prefer the original.
@@WhatIffanfic The Neon Light that Mr. Simon was referring to be a combination of television and neon signs used by commercial retail stores.
@@michaelfredgren1342 poor guy he must be going nuts from the situation of the world.
@@thethegreenmachine so do I but this is still a good version
I love your emotional reaction. No need to ever apologize for being real
Thank you so much for watching
You are welcome. Have you listened to Henning May, the lead singer for annenmaykantereit? I think your audience would enjoy that reaction. I know that I would. And I believe you're be surprised by his unique voice.
It's a good thing to cry when you hear this song. Whether you understand it or not, it means something in you does hear it and knows... It means you have a heart, compassion, and somewhere... understanding it's meaning for todays' times.
~ Bless you Girl.
what a beautiful reaction from a beautiful person!
thank you so much
It's ok Irina, it's a beautiful song with a powerful message. Crying is perfectly fine
Thank you for being supportive
Makes me cry every time. Without fail. So I cried during this !
@@RussianReactionReviews Not ashamed nope!! Actually very cathartic. Apart from. The stuffed up nose and headache I feel err a lot better!! Great reaction video!
And the Oscar goes to...! Great acting skills
I love you so much…❤ and that little doggie!🙏🏼💕💕💕❤️❤️
Luv you. Luv you. Luv you. You are so precious. You made me cry because you did. Bless you dear.
May all of our lives return to happier times.
This is what good music does and this is one of the all time great songs from Simon and Garfunkle
You are absolutely right, thank you so much
@@RussianReactionReviews i want to listen to the Russian version of this song but with English lyrics. I'm trying to build a Russian playlist of good music by great artists
Best reaction to this song I've seen. Those people that have watched lots of these reactions go looking for an emotional reaction like yours, as it mirrors their own deep feelings for the song. When you cried in the first few seconds I knew I'd got what I what looking for. It's like a connection. Thank you.
Your beauty is absolutely STUNNING
David Draiman had the flu when he performed this!! Incredible!!❤
Thank you for showing your emotions. People don't respect that enough, and we need more people genuinely showing their emotion, because it shows strength
Honest heartfelt reaction.
The original version of this song was in “The Graduate” a 1967 movie starring Dustin Hoffman.
The official video of this song gives a very impactful perspective on the lyrics. Definitely worth watching.
Oh I feel you darling. It’s very powerful ❤
Don't worry, I'm crying every time I hear this.
I’m from uk & I understand your emotion..it’s like someone singing through your soul 👍
I always cry hearing this, don’t apologize.
This is actually a cover. The original is by Simon & Garfunkel. Dave(the singer)had either a cold or the flu during this performance.
He had 100+ temperature from flu that's why he was sitting during this performance. The producers auto tuned and he was really upset about this.
What an amazing cover. Gets me every time. Music speaks when words fail. People need to listen to each other.
Oh! It’s ok , it can make you feel different things. He sings it with such great reserve and powers up towards the end. I have a gray/blue French bulldog too. He is 9 months old. Loved your reaction.🙏🏼🌹💕
I want to go to sleep at night to the sound of that lovely dog snoring
This is one of my top 10 favourites
Thank you for that pure and honest reaction. Virtual hugs for you!
What a beautiful reaction!
He h a s an amazing voice. He is the original singer. A great bamd as well
Omg love your reaction! I was the same. Luv from Australia ❤️🎼❤️🎼❤️
Thank you so much!!
This is why I love music...it touches so many people in different ways. If it moves you then it was played or sung with emotion, and that's what music is supposed to do.
I was in my car the first time I heard Disturbed's rendition of this song and I had to pull over because the tears just came on from nowhere. I just found your channel, I love the emotion that you expressed the first time you heard this. It's a very touching song from back in the 1960's and Simon and Garfunkel did the original and I loved that but this version took it to a whole other level. You keep on crying and listening to music, I love it that others find so much emotion in music like I do. Blessings. and thanks for the reaction video!
Great Reaction Video......
They did an excellent job breathing new life into this Cover of a Classic......
Marine Corps Veteran and every time I hear this song it sends chills thru my body and brings tears to my eyes.. Tale care of you beautiful
Ty for your service !
The original was in "The Watchmen" during the funeral scene. The original was Sang by Simon and Garfunkel.
It is good to cry, this enhances the reaction and makes it more real. I have listen to this cover many times but it was your crying that moved me and teared up. I am from the 60's when this song came out and you should find it and listen to it. Simon and Garfunkel had one of the most beautiful harmonized singing. This cover is very powerful and well done but I still prefer the original, it is a classic.
Simon an Garfunkel did this song as TV as a warning to people just setting in front an watching and never talking much to each other. Now days is more about cell phones and people not talking to each other. The sound of silence
The queen of unscheduled pauses, everyone!
yes, sir!
The song was released in 1964 by Simon & Garfunkel.
Paul Simon wrote that song. Top 10 songwriters of all time
Disturbed was one of my favorite bands in high school and after high school. This is a great song and so different from most of their other songs. Great reaction! ❤️🔔
Really? good to know!
For kids that aren't familiar with this song, it was written by the group Simon and Garfunkel in 1964.during the Vietnam war protests.
"People talking without speaking
People hearing without listening"
So true 😐
OMG I love your dog's empathy. I enjoyed your reaction.
This song to me is about the apathy of good people.
With the release of this arrangement, it set off a plethora of other artists covering this version of the song including Pentatonix (yes, they created their own version, but it was based on this arrangement).
This girl is absolutely adorable! You are not the first to be brought to tears by this performance.
Simon&Garfunkel. Firs band to sing this song.
Oh THAT'S such a cute dog
👍🔥👍
It's the voice
Wow, amazing emotional review. So nice to have an honest review. You are gorgeous. Cute dog 🐕
WOW ....what a voice. I had to fight back the tears.........loved this
A beautiful song....and a great response/reaction. Another song that hits like that is Johnny Cash version of "Hurt". Have a great day, and if it aint...make it great 👍
She already did that one i think bro
@@charleycox3944 thank you, ill check her Playlist. Have a great day 😀
@@ronaldleach9899 You as well, matey. Apologies if I'm wrong. Check out her reaction to Monsters too. Such a great song, love her powerful emotional responses. I'm a sensitive little bastard myself
Your reaction was beautiful.
We like your enthusiasm and that you have feelings. Its refreshing to see true people. By the way its original "simon and Garfunkel."
Simon & Garfunkel Original but Disturbed best Cover i ever heard
You're reaction was amazing.
I'm a 56 year old guy and I cry every time I hear this song. It's powerful and full of emotion.
Even without the music, his voice is like an angel and a demon, and will make you feel emotional. It's just such a well performed song by a brilliant singer.
If you cry at this song you are a sensitive caring person. And don't be embarrassed by crying. It's an honest reaction.
If you would line to I would recommend Dire Straits performing Sultans of Swing , look for the Alchemy Live video. Also their song Telegraph road is brilliant from the same live concert.
Irina, stop crying. You're making me cry.
I think David Draiman and Disturbed worked long and hard to make this Simon and Garfunkel original, ROAR.
the best explanation i heard was Simon and Garfunkel sung us a warning, Disturbed was the fact we didn't listen
this is a good example of the power of great art
Bless you darling!!!
I believe that David is a classically trained vocalist. He’s heavy metal performer now.
Beautiful reaction.
Montana came to the rescue 🙂 Beautiful reaction Irina!!
aww thank you Shawn
The lipstick!!!!! 👏👏👏
Your eyes are ....WHAT your eyes are beauty
A nice and honest reaction. I think this version makes a lot of people cry.
he was just getting over a cold when he sang this on the show.the official version is pretty powerful and it will give goosebumps
David said he was really nervous when waiting backstage. It's more like he got stoned then said he was "sick" to explain the symptoms.
@@unknownrider3071 do you know this for a fact? If not, shut the hell up.
Yes the Band is Diturbed and the singer is David Draiman
Wonderful to see such an honest and emotional reaction. Those Viking genes are pretty strong, eh?
That cover is my favorite version of the song! ❤️
Me too; imho is more powerful than the original.
You go girl, cry all you want it's good for you! Love your dog also! And you are beautiful and love your accent. I do suggest you watch the video it is amazing. Be blessed, keep up the beautiful work thank you
Thank yo so much Pam, I truly appreciate you!
Lately, your hair is so beautiful!
I LUV YOUR DOG HE IS THE BEST
Don't be sorry..it was the most beautiful reaction , pure n , heartfelt..Cute Frenchie.🐾💙
This is the most genuine reaction for this song performed by Disturbed. Your dog is so cute (French Bulldog) He knows when you are experiencing some high emotions and it really moved me to see him wanting to be with you to comfort you. It is ok to cry, it makes us human. Keep up the great reaction vids.
I sob every time I hear it
A true musician and artist can touch your soul ❤
David is a beautiful soul. We are all blessed to have him. Don't feel bad about crying. I'm a grown man and I couldn't hold the tears back either.
The song was first recorded by Simon and Garfunkel in the late 60s or early 70s.
Sounds good! Thank you, I’ll check it out
I love your total honesty. It is beautiful and so rare.
December 7, 2015 is when Disturbed released it
its ok to cry, to me music is good for health and very good for or souls.
It's about not talking to each other because they are wrapped up in social media, and technology etc.
One of my favorite reactions to this song. Keep up the good work.
Great reaction. BAD ASS Song. If you ever thought of Modeling, I will sighn you. No Shit!!! You are BEAUTIFUL! Kudos!!!!!
