Got to say, I love your videos. Super informative. And great narration. I'm doing a 2003 Silverado now. And you hit on almost everything I want to do. And thanks for listing the items you are installing. Also super helpful. Keep it up buddy!
Looks like your back in your element A lowered truck, I like it better than the last one. Looking forward to seeing you give it the Travis touch! Thanks
I could only get one side of my controls to work. Used a different thing then the pack. Tryed for like 2hrs. Gave up. Can control the volume though. So works for me. My radio is not technically supported by the interface. Atoto s8.
I’ve been trying to change my radio on my 03 silverado and i went to turn the key for the new radio to turn on and it didn’t why does that happen my truck does have onstar and steering wheel controls with the bose system do i need to just buy a interface module ?
What year is this truck? Im wondering if i can upgrade a 2001 chevy silverado steering wheel to a 03-07 steering wheel with controls would you have any insight about that?
you can with ease. you get your steering wheel control programing unit and you program it to the unit your retaining. if they both have the features. they will work
I have a 2007 GMC classic with steering wheel controls and Bose. Did this with the same radio the other night but it doesn’t turn on unless I match the red and yellow together but then it doesn’t turn off. Different harness I don’t have one with a dial any ideas ? Gotta be something simple I matched all colors together and ran all the grounds into 1
Hey Travis question I got a 2002 Silverado 1500 I’m thinking on putting a double din in.. been doing my research on UA-cam and it’s a little confusing to me hope you can help me out.. seen videos of people getting bracket from 2003 and up.. and I also seen videos I think with people not needing bracket so I’m super confused thanks
@@TWAMotorsports thank you for the quick responds.. so I need that bracket from metra and a dash correct? Or just the bracket sorry for all the questions… thanks again!
I bought one of the DMH series Pioneers for my 2010, basically exactly like this.... Unfortunately it's been sent back to Pioneer twice for "repairs", and still is a P.OS.. this kills me. I've used Pioneers for years now issue, but these DMH radios are hot garbage. They won't buy it back, only attempt a "repair", which involves them factory resetting the unit which might work well for a week or two. The unit freezes constantly, randomly increases or decreased volume, turns off audio to random speakers, etc... I sure hope others have had better luck, I am absolutely pissed with Pioneer over their handling of my issues.
@@TWAMotorsports i bought a new plug from auto zone and it came with, just a stamped piece of metal you out in plug and it pushes the tabs out then comes right out
@@ssmith2980 did you use the method holding at the locationsoexactly for set time and it worked? With that method done I will wire the ground to franc or do I still need to run it to parking brake?,
I was hoping that was the green truck! I wanted to see how you put the column in with steering wheel controls. I know you can put a 2006 Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade/Denali complete cloumn in, but I dont think you can use the steering wheel controls in an older 99 to 02. Guess I will have to go with the wireless type of control, only thing is they look like an ugly afterthought on the wheel.
Would love to see a video comparing the pros and cons or at least the differences of 99-02 vs 03-06 trucks one day!!
I can do that
@@TWAMotorsports I love a I can do attitude.
Be a cool video!
I will definitely be doing it.

The RCAs are if you want to use the pre-outs on the new head unit with the factory amp (If equipped)
👍
Nice job man, love how clean those radios look.
Thank you. Me too
You can put a 2014/18 jump seat top in it and install the usb inside or use the one already in it. Plus the 3 cup holders are really nice.
May look into that
So you can attach just the actual console portion from a 2014-18 to the pre existing seat? Like you don’t have to buy/ find the whole jump seat?
I believe so
Looks like your back in your element A lowered truck, I like it better than the last one. Looking forward to seeing you give it the Travis touch! Thanks

Good Job my friend 🎉
Thank you
I find a double din radio in 2000-2007 model trucks just adds a great look to the dash!! Great video as usual. ✌🏻
Thank you. I agree. Looks way better
That’s a really nice single cab

Yeah pac has always worked great for me. At least you have volume though
i do still buy and use cd's here and there bc the sound quality is better in the car especially vs bluetooth, imho.
I agree. They are better. Bluetooth has came a long way though
Looking good 👍
Thank you
It's nice now im going to try to install a radio head unit for my boss's Chevy Avalanche.
Good luck on yours
Now I need to figure out how to add steering wheel controls to my LT lol
They are nice to have
Nice truck,, need to get an HD hood
Truck ia sold now
Hey Travis, I think you could have plugged the RCA's into the radio like an amp. They should work like that.
Are you kidding me. Lol
Great info
Thank you
Got dam that ocd hitting hard😅😂
Its bad
Travis. Do you have a video on putting a temp rear view mirror in a NBS that wasn't originally equipped with one?
I did it in my green truck not long ago
@@TWAMotorsports ok, I'll look for it. Thx
Would it be different if the truck had oem bose package?? With a amp ect
May require a different harness
Which wires did you tap into with the aux Jack wires? Do the colors match up? Thanks
Been a while and pretty sure I showed that in the video
@@TWAMotorsports I tried to scroll through and figure it out, there’s no exact shot of the connections. Thanks though! I’ll figure it out hopefully
It's been so long I can't remember and I sold it so can't go check
Hey I’ve got the pac 3. Do you know if they sell just the steering wheel control connector? That’s all I need
Aswc1 should work
Where did you get your dash kit at? All the ones I keep getting are leaving gaps, and will not snap in all the way.

Could you install a backup camera with that?
Yes
Hey, man! I got a 05 gmc sierra and I got a pioneer double din and plugged everything in but there’s an extra cord but it’s not on my double din

Gm, Amazon or Rockauto

Hey man do you happen to have a rpo code from your truck for the steering wheel controls I want to add that feature to my z71 steering controls
Not sure what that code is. Not sure its a stand alone code
I just did this and my service air bag light came on. Any suggestions?

What pac unit is best for factory amp/sub, Steering wheel controls???
Depends on vehicle. Pac has a search on their website

7 I think

No need for any bypass or any hardware at all for a pioneer in motion video there is a built in bypass to the actual head unit.
