After dealing with the stock radio in my lowered tahoe since buying it was time for an upgrade. I have also been wanting to install a backup camera to help when backing up at night. I always tint my windows really dark and backing up at night is a pain. In this video we address all of those issues. I am installing a touch screen double din JVC radio, a back up camera and I show you all the parts I use and how it all works.

Great video. I just got the same camera. I did notice that it covered up the Missouri on the plate. This has got me thinking maybe flip the frame with the camera on the bottom of course you would have to flip the camera also or I might cut the frame and have camera with the 2 bolt holes left. Hate to do it but then I could mount it to the top of my existing frame or mount it to the bottom bolt holes and cover up the Land of Lincoln which is not a problem. 07 F150 stepside.
I have never had issues with that being covered

Hey man great video I got a 2002 Tahoe and all the radio installs I’ve seen they have to buy a after market plastic dash cover and yours fit just fine with the factory piece was wondering if I can just buy the radio that you installed if it would fit with my 2002 factory dash
It won't fit in a 2002 because they are not double din

I drilled a small hole where the tail light goes and put a rubber ground on it and it was very easy access.. I understand you don't want to drill holes and I get that.

im sorry completely unrelated to this video. for the sierras foglights, so you got power from the fusebox instead of the battery? Does the Amperage of the fuse matter or as long as its accessory switched?
Most installs require a new dash panel or some modifications. Looking to install a Sony touch screen on my 99 Sierra with back up camera.
Double din in a 99-02 is a little bit more work

No 02 is a din and a half.
Thanks for sharing a great video, my only gripe would be that you spent so much attention to detail behind the dash and left the crappy T-taps (scotch locks) behind the taillight. Maybe it's just because I live in the rust belt and drive a plow and know how much calcium and road salt gets dropped. I would solder and heat shrink those wires too. No criticism, just suggestion.

I didn't have rear entertainment but yes on steering wheel controls

My 05 Tahoe has a single din JVC stereo in it, that the previous owner installed. I hate the constant red flashing lights, and can't even find the clock time. If I buy another single din( with blue lighting), will it be easy to install since single din is already there? I know nothing about changing out stereos. Thanks buddy.

I noticed that you moved the driver seat forward by pushing the control back vs pushing it forward? My tahoe does the same thing it must be normal then.

@@TWAMotorsports I figured it out, theirs a pink wire in the other wiring harness that doesn't get used and that wire goes to the amp so you gotta splice it into your blue wire.

The specs for your PAC adapter show that it has a reverse signal output which I assume to be for triggering a backup camera. Did this not work for you?

@@TWAMotorsports Could save anyone some time & frustration. Like me for example. Except that the prior owner of my vehicle stupidly cut the stereo harness plug off in his own botched install, so I'm out of luck for using that shortcut.

Generally rca goes to radio, one wire to reverse light and sometimes a wire to power camera
Is your lift long enough to fit your Tahoe. I know this has nothing to do with video but I'm still trying to make a decision on what lift and what size. I understand if you are to busy to answer this question.
Yes it fits the tahoe. I just never use it for that.

TWA Motorsports I was born in K.C. ,but grew up in Warsaw, Mo. left Mo. a long time ago. Asked because in Alaska you can’t cover any part of the plate and now living in Fl. It is the same.
